We had such a happy stay in Yzerfontein and we loved our little lock up and go apartment with a beautiful view. It was well equipped and cleverly designed and the hosts were very responsive to all of our enquiries. It is a relatively comfortable walk to the beach, WiFi for the teens and great bathrooms. There can be some noise with the wind at night but overall a really lovely spot.

We had a great stay, the unit was neat, clean and practically provided for everything possible that one could need. The only inconvenience was the stairs to carry luggage up and down. An elevator would have helped (for the sake of older people and people with health restrictions).

We had a wonderful stay. Was really nice and the place is very well equipped. We could easily stay there for days, even weeks. There were only 2 things I did miss: small kitchen towels and a mirror by the wall plug in the en-suite master bedroom to blow hair. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Simply Yzer is around the corner from a fantastic Spar store and the laundry is right next to the apartments. Rooms very spacious, each with its own bathroom. Kitchen convenient. Security good, no one can enter the building without a remote control. Unfortunately no security parking area.

The apartment is very spacious and the 2 bathrooms are a bonus - as are the wall plugs with USB plugs. It's very central, with the Spar literally around the corner and the beach and harbor within walking distance. The car is parked in an open parking lot, but there were no incidents.

We had a great rest and the location is great, because it's right next to the Spar and the central shopping centre.
I would recommend this place to anyone who would be interested in staying here. The place was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The rooms were a nice size and the beds was great to sleep on. We had a lovely view from the balcony. We were allowed to check in earlier than 2pm which is always a plus but we decided to have lunch first before booking in. Often you will see places advertise that they have wi-fi but you get there and it doesn't work, this place has Wi-Fi and it worked. Same with the DStv, it worked. I would definitely go back to this establishment if I wanted to be in Yzerfontein. The only down thing for me was that 2 of the coffee mugs were chipped. It is not a big issue because you drink from the side that is not chipped but cleaning it is tricky because you could potentially cut yourself. Other than that I have no complaints about this place or the service we received as a matter of fact the service was excellent too.
What a great place, everything was fantastic, the service, the central location, the large very well equipped and spotless unit, the whole experience was great. It's the best view of the sea imaginable. The kitchen has everything one needs, there are numerous wall plugs with even built in 2 prong plugs which is always a bonus. The enclosed balcony with the sail that can be completely pulled up makes it feel like you are sitting on an open balcony, without the terrible wind. The gas grill worked like a bomb, nice and easy and fast. Best holiday accommodation experience I have ever had in Yzerfontein, would definitely recommend.

We had a great time and everything was very nice and clean. Very spacious and good location. Will definitely come again. Security - only the 1 room's window cannot lock. Looks like the heel is out. Bathroom - would have preferred just a bathroom mat before the shower.
Everything was so clean and tidy. Friendly people. The trucks were delivered to the SPAR early so there was a bit of a disturbance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the bedrooms were larger than we expected the layout is superb one needs not to take anything but one clothing and food. The only negative is that when there was load shedding the Spars generator kicked in which was very noisy but we were told that the owners are in communication with Spar to sort something out.
Zandré and Frik were extremely friendly and helpful. It's the most beautiful, cleanest, spacious apartment. Everything you need is there. Will definitely go again.
Loadshedding had a negative impact. During that time the generators of the Spar kept us awake. Sound from neighbouring flats easily audible.
While we enjoyed the rugby on Dstv my 6 year old enjoyed his cartoons using the WiFi.
Aircon and generators from shopping complex right behind bedrooms are a bit disturbing.
Neat, clean, everything you need.
Clean, well kept unit. Close to shops and safe to walk around. The host Gerda is a very kind and friendly lady, the chocolates was a nice gesture. Unfortunately we had zero sleep and was very tired at check out. The people above unit 3 was loud and what sounded like moving furniture and chairs around since 05:00 in the morning till late at night. To make things worse they were running and stomping all day long. Our peaceful weekend break was a nightmare as we had to escape the unit during the day and spend our days at the beach for some peace and quiet. Sadly we will never return to Simply Yzer again.
We enjoyed our stay except for graders that park there making a noise early in the morning.
Everything we needed was available in apartment. Besides washing machine, but downstairs is a laundry room. The hostess helped us immediately if we had problems. Everything was clean, tidy and beautiful. We will come back again!

The only thing that bothered is the master bedroom's bathroom part. Could you maybe put a curtain in the venter? The lights of Spar burn all night and then shine in. So the room is not dark. Furthermore, I have no green complaints.

The apartment is everything and more that you want on your vacation. Everything in the apartment is just the best. The view of the sea from the balcony and kitchen and even the master bedroom is breathtakingly beautiful. You can really hear the ocean on a still night. The sunset is just something breathtaking. What's nice is the sliding door at the balcony that can stay open all night, so you can hear the sea. The last night was a cold winter night, but the cuddly duvet and blanket made for a nice warm sleep. Yzerfontein's people immediately make you feel welcome and I will definitely go back again.

Due to the fact that I'm a law student and my husband has a company to run in the busy city of Cape Town, we hardly touch base and never get the opportunity to break away, this was perfect and it felt as if we were miles away from our busy schedules.
I came to work and my son and I did things together over lunch and in the late afternoon. It was delicious. Just had internet problems, but I hear it is now "resolved". I will 100% come again and the hostess and her son were beyond friendly. Loved the place and service!

The place is very neat and well equipped. We didn't sleep well because of noise and light. I don't think they can do anything about the noise because it's Spar's customers who are making noise.
I didn't like the key box for the key that can't lock. This means that someone else can take out your key and re-enter your apartment after you leave.
Friendly host, we could check in earlier and check out later, clean neat and comfortable. Close to all amenities. Not opposite the beach but great to take a walk to it and the best one night stay ever.

We enjoyed our stay very comfortable and the location is very nice. Apartment floors were very dirty and there is a terrible unpleasant smell coming from the plumbing in the bathrooms.
Hairdryer, iron and dish washing liquid are lacking, but otherwise a well equipped and modern apartment. Great access to the beach and grocery store.

I would definitely recommend Simply Yzer, we were unlucky to get a place without a sea view, but it didn't hinder our stay at all. It's a really beautiful place and everything was clean and new. Will definitely book there again and very very good value for money.
The apartment is new and well furnished, and was very clean and tidy. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bedding deliciously soft. There is a brand new gas grill on the balcony overlooking the car park. We could also see the beautiful sunset from here. I was with my parents, so the stairs up to the 2nd floor were slightly inconvenient for my mother who has difficulty climbing stairs. Although the apartment is close to the sea and there is a view of the sea in the distance, the big problem with the apartment is the location and surrounding noise. The room windows look out on the back of the Spar shopping centre. The air conditioning fans whirred until probably midnight and started again in the early morning. Delivery trucks' reverse warning alarms also sounded intermittently from early on. Motorbikes roaring to and from the Shell Garage diagonally opposite the block of flats didn't help either. So, if noise doesn't bother you when you sleep, this is a very convenient option.
The apartments are neat, everything you need is available in the apartment. Just a pity we couldn't make a fire ourselves because there is a gas braai and no facilities for making a fire. The downside is that the place where the building is located is not suitable at all. There is no view from the balcony and some apartments' balconies are very small.
Not close to the beach and sea but in the business area with buildings and gas station as neighbors. No view in number 5 and number 6's trash, bathroom and drawers were not clean. When I called the numbers on Friday at 6:40 p.m. both the landline and cell phone were not answered. No mention of stairs accessibility and I myself can't climb stairs much less a 2 year old. It was a disappointing experience.
