No fan in king room as stated on website. It was made available upon request. Rooibos tea was not available, not even on demand, and unknown to manager. In South Africa, rooibos tea is common and a given. Queen's room hanging space and space for suitcases is insufficient with only a hook behind the door. Website indicated breakfast for 1 person per room as included in the price, but this was a mistake according to the manager.

Nontebeko Precious was such a warm host. She welcomed us as if she knew us for a long time and this made us feel so at home.
The guesthouse is beautiful. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy. The guest house is very well located and within walking distance (cycling distance) from Monte Casino. The hostess was incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of her way to make it as comfortable as possible for us. We will definitely stay there again.

Very clean and tidy. Well located and the staff makes a lot of effort. It is not a five star hotel but good value for money. A re-do for sure.
The pool is amazing. Warm for evening swims and fresh for sunny days. Wi-Fi speed excellent for streaming. Garden is beautifully sculpted with lovely ascetic touches. And did I mention how amazing Mel and her team were! Definitely going back soon.

Outstanding service.
There were water issues which meant you couldn't shower. The owner addressed it immediately which was appreciated but still inconvenient especially in the summer when travelling for business.

We only visited for one evening, to attend a show at Monte Casino. Our room was clean and comfortable, with an enormous bed. The bathroom is spacious and very well appointed. Best of all, it is very close to the Monte Casino parking area. The staff was very friendly and they accommodated our special breakfast request with a smile. Definitely not the last time that we will be staying at Six Valk Avenue!!!

The rooms were very neat and comfortable, and the bathroom modern with a lovely shower. Our hostess went out of her way for us. A delicious breakfast is also served. Bonus that it is literally 2 min from Monte Casino.
Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The small kitchen next door had all the necessary crockery and cutlery. Our hostess was very friendly and made sure our bicycles were safely stored.
I can definitely recommend Six Valk. Our unit was clean and comfortable with a full DStv package. It's walking distance (10 minutes) from Monte Casino. Our host (Julia) was very friendly and we felt at home immediately.

We were kindly received. The place is incredibly neat and very well furnished. Would stay there again any day.
It was nice and private. The place was extremely clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. DStv a plus with many channels. The paintings are very good and appropriate to the Bird Theme area. Coffee table books of great variable choice. Ideally close to Monte Casino Blvd where we attended a wedding. Would be happy to return.
