112 guests' feedbackWOW! Friendly and helpful reception by Ryan. The chalet has everything needed for a weekend getaway and is clean and tidy. The game drive was an incredible experience. Saw 4 of the Big 5 up close. If you want to enjoy a peaceful weekend, this is definitely the right destination. Thank you so much Ryan for your kindness.
Fantastic lodge! The staff are friendly and helpful! Thank you for your amazing customer service! Thank you for an unforgettable experience on the game drive!
I have only had lunch in Dinokeng, never stayed there. My partner didn't know it even existed, so we were both blown away by our accommodation, game drive and just general Dinokeng Reserve. We will definitely be back.
Great attention to detail, appreciate the small and practical touches. Highly recommended.
The facility and care were more than expected. We will definitely be back.
See stars.
Have a wonderful stay, rest assured and happy animals!
Lovely as always, such a good spot to stay.
Had an amazing weekend, great escape from city life. Their hospitality was amazing. The game drives were spectacular.
Very nice stay. We felt like kings in the camp and everything is clean and tidy.
It's definitely one of our favorite places. The service and atmosphere is absolutely amazing. Nick is definitely an excellent guide and my kid's favorite. It's clean, tidy and there is always extra effort made.
Clean and tidy, with a peaceful atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. Will book there again in the future.
Really enjoyed our time spent at Siyaya.
Great stay. Staff very friendly.
In a nutshell, awesome place! However, unfortunately there is just one aspect we would change about the accommodation we stayed at, Siyaya Bush Lodge, and that is the fact that hot water is generated using gas. Taking a shower was way too complicated and at times concerning to navigate the right temperature both before and during showering. Levelling out the pool table in the entertainment lounge would also be a bonus, but other than that, if a relaxing break and getaway from everything is what you are looking for, look no further. From what I understand, Siyaya Bush Lodge itself is electrically driven and may well be a better fit for those wishing to go away without the added hassle of a complex water heating system to navigate. i.e. there is Siyaya Bush Lodge where we stayed, where gas is used for cooking and heating water, whereas Siyaya Bush Lodge itself is all electric, I am led to believe, so your call. You will not regret it! P.S. Although you can go on self-drives (permit required), I would only suggest this option to those who own a 4x4. For those of you who want to be better assured of seeing lots of animals, rather book a game drive via the many options available to choose from within Dinokeng itself and this resort!
Friendly staff. We loved everything about it.
Fantastic! Enjoyed our stay so much and will definitely go back. Staff were so helpful and efficient.
Very neat and clean. Well equipped unit with generator if needed. The discussion was extremely effective with very good communication and feedback. Upon our arrival we were greeted very kindly and taken straight to our unit. The staff came regularly to make sure everything was in order. Game drive was well presented and we saw a lot of game (three of the big five). Access to the lodge was easy and the stretch of dirt road is well maintained so that it is possible to drive in a normal sedan car. Chalet nice and spacious.
Many thanks to Siyaya Bush Lodge. They went to great lengths for my parents who I booked for. They really enjoyed it and will book with you again.
Most enjoyable, relaxing, and lovely to have wild animals at our doorstep.
We loved our first visit to Dinokeng and are now firm followers. Siyaya Bush Lodge was perfect!
It is a very beautiful and modern place in the forest. Good service and nice place to visit.
Nice stay and for sure a very nice place and everything very comfortable.
It was a very pleasant and good stay. Staff were consistently very helpful. The house was painfully neat and clean; as well as the boma of the house and swimming pool a little further away. It was quiet and peaceful and the animals like zebras, nyalas etc. around the house was a pleasure. The outside shower is a good idea and was mostly used by us. The bathroom facilities were great. Self-driving with your own vehicle through Dinokeng is not really worth it, as you don't see many animals - guided tours may be a better option, because according to the staff, the "better" animals are in the concession- areas of Dinokeng where self-driving is not allowed. We walked through the Pride of Africa site on the Sunday morning before departure (5 km - about an hour long) and encountered many different types of antelope - it was amazing.
Everything very special!
Very nice, thank you. Slightly sorry about the road / traffic noise early in the morning and early evening, but otherwise very nice.
The residential units are very neat and comfortable, with comfortable beds and good bedding. The towels are obsolete (used up and frayed already) and urgently need to be replaced. The premises are also very neat, but the swimming pool was disappointingly small.
Would definitely recommend.
It was very nice, just a shame the main road is very close and makes terrible noise in the evening with all the traffic.
Very friendly staff.
It was amazing. We had lots to do. Many lovely restaurants and places to visit. On our first day we saw many animals right in front of our place. All the staff were very helpful.
We really enjoy visiting there. The whole team is amazing and service is great. Nic's game drives never disappoint.
Was amazing. Thanks to the host we had an amazing game drive.
The staff at the lodge were good, and the driver for our drive range was good. The only thing I did not appreciate is the single bed. The guy who welcomed us at the gate was not informative enough. The other guests really didn't like us because of the color of our skin, and they refused to take the drive with us. Other rangers around were stopping our car to see good things, but ended up going backwards. They chased the animals when our car came around.
We had a great time at Siyaya Bush Lodge. The service was amazing, the staff were friendly and helpful and didn't hesitate to go the extra mile. We really enjoyed the game drives. And although we often visit Dinokeng, this was the first time we really saw the Big Five. Nick was very cute with the game drives.
Excellent facilities for a group of 8 people. Good wildlife viewing. The water hole in front of the Homestead house was bustling with excitement with a herd of zebras coming to drink water. We will definitely be back. Matthew had been a 5 star guide.
Very good and friendly service, it is very neat and well equipped. So nice that the goats, zebras and birds basically come to drink water on your front porch. Will definitely go again.
Nick was excellent both on service and game drive. Well equipped and very clean unit. Will visit again!
Susan is a fantastic hostess, she always helps and makes you feel at home. However, all of Siyaya's employees make you feel that way. Everything is there that one needs to be able to find rest for the soul.
The lodge was very neat and tidy. The chalet was well-maintained and clean.
Seen all the big 5.
We had a great time. The unit is perfectly equipped with everything one needs. It was wonderful to wake up to the tranquility of the forest, witness the activities of the birds and then the Nyalas still come to visit on your doorstep. Our unit was right by the climbing frame, so my little girl was very happy and really enjoyed the freedom. Susan, Matthew and the rest of their team's service was great, everyone was always very friendly and accommodating. We hope to visit again very soon.
Nice facilities and very tidy.
Great hospitality, the Siyaya team made sure we had everything to have a memorable getaway.
We stayed at Wildways A and it was a lovely weekend. The unit has everything you need and is very tidy! The staff are friendly and make a lot of effort, there was even a gift for our wedding anniversary. The game drive was fun, the guide has a lot of knowledge about the animals and nature and we saw beautiful animals. Will definitely come back again! Thanks for your effort!
This is the second time we have visited Siyaya Lodge and just like the previous visit, we really enjoyed it. From booking to reception on site, the service is excellent. The location suits us well for a weekend getaway (bad 1 hour drive) and is easily accessible. All staff are motivated and focused to make the guests' stay pleasant. The units are excellently maintained, everything works and is very clean. A special word of thanks to Ryan (Lodge Manager/Guide) for the excellent service. We are considering making Siyaya Lodge a monthly getaway. Food for thought: There are generators available for those who prefer during power outages, we don't find them essential, they disturb the silence of the forest. Battery lighting is already provided and it's more than enough light. Alternative bridging for the power problems would go a long way to making this already excellent accommodation even better.
Lovely quick break away.
Siyaya is excellently and conveniently located with everything a game reserve has to offer. Beautiful nature and wildlife to see. Chalets are excellently equipped and service delivery is excellent. Sandra and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It was a joy to be there and will definitely visit again.
The game Drive was amazing! It was amazing being surrounded by so many animals at Siyaya!
We had the most eventful weekend! The Wildways lodge was super clean, bigger than we imagined, and well-maintained. We really enjoyed the pool and entertainment area, and our hosts were always checking in on us to make sure all was well. Our guide Matthew was really friendly and made our stay all the better. The sightings in the area were insane! We booked two game drives with Matthew and saw 3 different encounters with lions (including a hunt) and plenty of black and white rhinos. We will definitely be staying at Siyaya again!
The best time at Siyaya Most beautiful chalet. Friendliest staff and service was fantastic. The animals came right to our house to drink and eat. The Game drive was 3 hours long. We saw hyenas and elephants. Lunch at Arlington Craft beer was just as awesome. (15min from Siyaya). We will definitely book again soon. And what's so nice, it's only 90 minutes from Oosrand.
Susan and her team are absolutely fantastic! It is a pause button for your soul to visit Siyaya. From Chase who just drives ice and wood all the time to Dolly who cleans so beautifully every day. Great facilities and everything is there, you can just pack your clothes and food. It was heaven on earth! 10 out of 5 stars!
The place was very neat and also safe. It's a pleasure to be in the forest and the people at Siyaya were friendly and always helped. The power went out when we were there due to lightning and they came and started our generator for us, and also a bonus is the place is cleaned and is part of the price.
It's a great place if you need a break from the city. Quiet with good views. Our chalet even had a pond where the zebras come to drink water. The service is also great. Thanks to Rob for a good time there. Will definitely go again.
Lovely lodge with a great guide (Mathew) - I was really shocked at how Dinokeng was to Joburg. Was an amazing and relaxing stay and we will be back for sure.
Relax and enjoy nature!
We were 5 people and everything was perfect, except the weather to use the wonderful swimming pool. Nice time around the fire in the evenings.
Terribly nice stay.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was such a nice place, with a wonderful atmosphere and also very close to everything.
Absolutely loved our stay! Staff are so friendly, our guide was such a sweetheart and extremely knowledgeable! Will definitely recommend if you want peace and quiet!
Good service in a neat and clean environment. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is good. Calm and quiet environment to ensure relaxation and rest during your stay.
Friendliest staff and super clean accommodation, perfect for a JHB/Pretoria quick bush weekend.
We loved our stay at Siyaya. The accommodation was excellent. The game drives were very enjoyable. We'll definitely visit again.
Game drives were very nice and very interesting.
Awesome event, as well as wonderful management would recommend the place again anytime, as well as go back again.
We had a very nice stay. Service was excellent. People very friendly and helpful. No water problems. No power issues. Air conditioners work great.
Excellent facilities, really enjoyed the wildlife roaming the property. Bugs were annoying though but was expected.
Nice stay only road noise. Clean and very tidy.
Very pleasant and peaceful setting with zebra and nyala roaming around in the camp.
The travel directions from the website were wrong and took us to the wrong gate where they indicated that you should turn right when you should actually turn left. Luckily we were able to use the link that Nadine sent and that finally got us out there. If I can make any suggestions for improvement it is that they can equip the kitchen better. A pan to bake eggs in and a grater would be helpful. Although we didn't have problems with hot water, our children who were in another chalet did not have hot water and this was only fixed on Saturday as far as the shower was concerned. They couldn't use the bath. Overall though, it was a pleasant experience.
The team was very helpful, hospitable and friendly. Every need was taken care of and our requests for ice and wood etc. quickly sorted. We had an awesome game drive and had one of the best lion sightings you could hope for. The lodge setup is perfect for a group wanting to enjoy a relaxed and comfortable bush experience with lovely boma, eating and pool areas. We had the zebras sleeping in the garden and walking past in the morning which was also special. It was a treat coming back from the morning game drive to a beautifully cleaned space! Thank you Siyaya!
Minor issues were dealt with suitably, and the staff really tried to make our stay as comfortable as humanly possible.
Peaceful accommodation.
Aircon in in the main bedroom had problems.
The units need a little attention but we had such a nice time and rest. Your staff is amazing and our house was clean and tidy every day. Curtains are very old and the detail cleaning needs to be looked at.
Had a great time, will definitely book again at Siyaya Bush Lodge.
Neat, quiet, affordable and comfortable. Had aircon with a beautiful outdoor shower. Could we provide with a generator for loadshedding. Booked a game drive and had great sightings with nice snacks. Guides were very welcoming and the place is well maintained.
We will definitely visit again! Was quiet, tidy and we had a great time!
In November we spent two weekend nights at Wildways, chalet A, at Siyaya Lodge. Such a spacious well equipped house, very comfortable lounge! We were warmly received by the hostess Susan. The camp is safe and neat, the friendly staff are more than willing to help. Wi-fi and cellphone reception was excellent even during a thunderstorm! The pool at the entertainment area is just a splash pool though. Will I book another stay sometime soon? Yes!
Perfect for a weekend away.
We hung out around the most delicious bonfire until the early hours of the morning. We will definitely go back again and again. Thank you very much. The accommodation is beautifully clean, tidy and comfortable with the most wonderful staff to make your stay particularly special.
Couldn't ask for anything better in terms of the accommodation, the staff, location etc. Perfectly situated in Dinokeng for game drives (paid or self-drive). Enjoyed the braai facilities and the boma for sitting outside around the fire and listening to the animals at night.
Siyaya Bush Lodge offers so much more than meets the eye. Beautiful, well appointed chalets with everything you need to enjoy your holiday or weekend getaway in luxurious comfort. There is even a spacious reception area with a communal kitchen, living and pool area where groups of friends or families can hang out together. Everything is neat, clean and well maintained, the welcoming friendliness of the staff made the weekend even more enjoyable. Thank you very much for that.
Rob and the team were extremely hospitable and made us feel right at home. There is everything one needs, even charged lights and a generator for the sad load shedding. The boma and braai place are very nice and we were even kindly welcomed by a Njala just when we arrived. Thank you Siyaya, hope to visit you again soon!
Very comfortable and well located within Dinokeng. Will stay there again. Great communication and service from Susan.
See stars.
We had a lovely stay at Siyaya Bush Lodge over the long weekend. The unit was spotless and the property outside the unit is also well maintained. The private boma area and outdoor shower is a real plus. Rob, the manager's attention to detail from the time you arrive; on the game drive and his overall service delivery is in line with what you expect from at a 5* lodge. He is a real asset to this lodge and I believe he will grow this lodge to reach great success.
Beautiful, clean and tidy chalet. Susan and Nick received us very kindly and always made sure that everything was OK and that we had a good time. Very nice surroundings and nice, peaceful, relaxing place. Would definitely recommend and visit again!
It is located safely and close to Pretoria. Staff are particularly friendly and helpful.
Very beautiful place, wonderfully, helpful staff. Well laid out accommodation. The photos don't do Siyaya Bush Lodge justice.
Boma area is the best. Fantastic that the Zebras walk between the houses. Many animals seen on game drive including rhinos and silver fox.
We stayed at Siyaya Lodge for the weekend to attend a birthday party in the area and will definitely go back again. Here you can truly rest and relax! Exceptionally good service from the administrative staff as well as the operational staff at the lodge itself. This is the best reception we have ever had at any getaway destination! Well done Siyaya!
Apartment very tidy and staff very pleasant.
The Wildways chalets are spacious and clean with everything you could need when on holiday. Rob was the most amazing, attentive host and the game drives were wonderful. We had an amazing time and would definitely go back.
A well equipped and clean lodge. Excellent hospitality.
Our stay was great, we were well taken care of and we had everything we needed and more. Overall an awesome experience.
Staff were friendly and constantly ensured all was in order. Generator if you required it for load shedding. Peaceful and private.
Great getaway for a family. All the facilities are clean and there is everything you need. The boma outside is a winner!
The service was excellent in all respects. The accommodation is beautiful, modern and everything you need is there. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The game drives were fantastic and we saw lots of animals.
We really enjoyed our stay at Siyaya Bush Lodge. The people were helpful. We went on a game drive and Nick was very friendly, and we saw a lot of animals. A wonderful getaway.
The silence around the fire in the lapa, no radios and TVs. Make it memorable.
We were at Siyaya for my birthday weekend. Very lovely lodge and spacious. Enough for 8 people.
Siyaya Bush Lodge's Homestead Villa was the perfect getaway - lovely lounging areas (inside and outside) that were cleverly planned with nature and animal life as the main focus. Of course, most visits took place around the outdoor boma area's fire pit. The small drinking area/feeding area on the front porch side an unexpected bonus - also visible from 3 of the bedrooms. The osprey even came calling. Make time, pack the binoculars, book a game drive, tell stories around the fire, go make 'memories'. Siyaya Bush Lodge's staff are very friendly and helpful. Thanks to Mike for a very special game drive - your knowledge of nature and of course our unforgettable 'sightings'. Siyaya - see you soon.
Peaceful atmosphere, you can see antelope and zebras only a few meters from your patio.
My best Dinokeng experience, the chalet was stunning, staff all friendly and super professional. 100% value for money!
Thank you to Susan and Duan for a wonderful weekend.
Wonderful stay and great rooms.
Delicious, quick relaxation just around the corner. Food for the soul and the guide is excellent.
Loved our time and wish we had longer. Relaxed vibe, efficient staff, fantastic game drives - saw birds I had never seen before, cheetah cheetah cheetah, buffalo in a huge herd, looked at spoor, learned about some of the animal behaviour.
Enjoy the game drives.
The chalet was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. Very quiet place and safe. Only negative would be that you cant just do a self drive through the reserve but we understand that it is part of the rules of Dinokeng. Overall a lovely lodge to visit.
We enjoyed it. Thank you.
