Outside the villa, there is a covered patio with outdoor seating and space for socialising. This patio leads down to an open-air boma with a central firepit where guests can all gather around and enjoy the sounds of nature. Right next to this boma, there is a splash pool where guests can cool off.
A 4x4 is not necessary but a vehicle with a high ground clearance is advised.

We really enjoyed our time at Skála. The farm is a great treat, really very beautiful. The evenings around the boma under the stars were definitely the highlight. We will definitely go again.
Group of 13 for a hunt and a visit by a big fire. Nicol and his team are always right!

Very nice lodge. Very practically laid out and of high quality. Farm manager was very helpful and also workers. It's an incredibly beautiful farm.

Skala impressed us greatly, so much better than the photos. The main area where you hang out has beautiful views where you can barbecue, swim and hang out. The staff and management are very thorough and friendly.
Our stay was a lovely one, very comfortable rooms and a tranquil setting. Unfortunately, there was no microwave or toaster, which affected some of our meal plans, but the setting itself was lovely and probably better for friends and couples vs families. It rained quite a bit while we were there, which was lovely, but since the patios were not covered, we were largely indoors. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful stay and we loved it.
