We loved our stay at Skuiling in Paternoster! It was the perfect getaway for us as a family, and the kids enjoyed being so close to the beach. We will be back as soon as we can!
Wonderful relaxing weekend stay in a lovely home. Comfortable furnishings, well-supplied cutlery and crockery, even down to ice in the freezer. Beautiful private garden setting with stunning sea views. Excellent location to the Bek Bay beach. Quiet and clean neighbourhood setting.
Shelter is nicely laid out with a large braai/fireplace in the living area, and the rooms are comfortable and very clean. There is also a very nice view of the sea, and the outside area can be enjoyed! There is the feeling that you are staying in someone else's holiday home and that the focus is not on the comfort of the guest. For example, the grills for the barbecue are used and dirty, and the kitchen lacks something here and there such as e.g. a grater (which we couldn't find). The sofas are comfortable to sit on, but not to stretch out in front of the fireplace. These are just a few small things we noticed. But overall it's a very nice place to stay. Furthermore, one has to drive through a low income housing area to get to the unit. Although I don't think it's necessarily a safety risk, you just have to be aware of it and that there are some residents running around.
Fantastic location near a beautiful beach. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, not king as advertised. Our stay would have been even better if there was enough toilet paper provided and maybe some wood for the 2 fire places. The only shop in town when we checked in was on Sunday afternoon, so we couldn't buy wood.
