"The house is spacious and the open-plan setup is great for a large group. Our dogs were well accommodated and there is plenty of space for them to play."

The host was very responsive and accommodating before and during our stay. There is enough seating space, braai areas, and everything else you may need in the house including a full DSTV package. It is within a short walking distance to the beach and the great coffee shop and bakery across the street are a bonus. The house could do with a bit of TLC but we had no real complaints. We had a lekker 3 day stay!

The house could be cleaned a lot better. The alarm was beeping due to loadshedding that had corrupted the backup battery, when we told the agent who booked us in that we could not sleep like this she was very abrupt and told us that we would have to stay as there were no other places to stay in this price range and if we decided to leave we would lose all the money we had paid. She made it very evident that since we were not paying a lot of money we should expect the accommodation to be as is. However, this is quite a lot of money for us, unless we are expected to pay R8000 plus per night just to stay 8 streets from the beach. The electrician that came round to the house was helpful and he did some sort of override to make the alarm stop beeping. The security gate on the back door is very difficult to lock and unlock as it is rusted and just from age I guess. The windows open and close with difficulty. The furniture is very run down and the cupboards are old and musty smelling. The kitchen taps made a loud thudding sound when you opened them to use them. We rewashed the cutlery and crockery and pots as there were many things in the cupboards that were put back dirty. The beds were old and the matrasses thin and uncomfortable. The bedding was cheap and I lived in the hope that it was clean enough to sleep on. Bedside lights could not be plugged it as we moved the beds away and could not find electrical sockets to plug them into. And when we did move things around to plug lights in, the bulbs were broken anyway.

Very homely, we felt very comfortable and at ease there. Loads of space and various areas to hang out.

Was informed on arrival that we had to clean the place ourselves when leaving, while an amount of R350 had to be paid for cleaning.

"Accommodation and location are acceptable, but it is not child friendly, too many "art works" easily accessible to toddlers."

One of the refrigerators in the kitchen out of order. Other fridge was not cleaned. Dishwasher out of order. Separate toilet has an unpleasant smell and could not be used.

"It is a lovely house with a lovely atmosphere for a wonderful visit. "

Our stay was lovely. The house is lovely and spacious with lovely living areas and a lovely view of the balcony. The lights in the braai area and towards the balcony did not work, but it did not affect our lovely visit.

Conveniently located opposite a coffee shop and a general store as well as a liquor store. House is spacious, great for kids. Beds a bit uncomfortable, but all in all a very nice as a mini breakaway.
