Rooms are comfortable and convenient and are cleaned daily. Communicating in advance as we have, so that you know what amenities are available, makes your stay that much better. Tannie was helpful and very friendly every time. Will definitely stay there again. Thank you very much.
Our team ended up arriving very late, and they gave them a number to call when they were close, and let them in after 10pm. They really enjoyed their stay and the breakfast they received set them up for another long day.

Very pleasant, would visit again. The place was very nice, peace and quiet, enough space for us to stay in one room.
The accommodation was simple, but clean and tidy. We got everything we needed for the evening. The bedding was not white as promised, but still clean and the color didn't bother us. I only noticed this because the review mentions it pertinently. The dinner and breakfast were really excellent. We did have to drive and eat it at a different place, but the same owners.
Room is neat. Refrigerator in good working order. Linen is clean and tidy. Air conditioning a big plus. Would prefer better sports and TV channels. Secure parking for vehicle and trailer.
Too few pillows. The air conditioning remote control does not work. See the place is in the market to be sold.
Satisfied with overnight stay.
Not what was advertised. Floors and surfaces weren't clean, broken furniture and shower head, rock hard mattress, lumpy pillows, the linen wasn't white and fluffy as advertised. Very overpriced compared to places with comparable rates, and host seemed gruff and unwelcoming. Felt unsafe because we were the only people staying there, and the host stayed off site a street away.

For such a small town with few places to stay, I expected a little more. There are limited places to eat in Bloemhof, so you have to buy something from the small supermarket. To eat something in the room then is not possible - there are no cutlery (there is a microwave oven, for who knows), a fridge, 3 cups with plastic teaspoons and 3 glasses and coffee is there . Maybe if there were paper plates for sale that would help. Emergency light for loadshedding was available. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Recommended for overnight accommodation only.
Neat and clean, but overpriced. Can drink water. Aircon for the cold/heat. Shower head sprays all its pressure out the side. No bedside lamps. No mirror in the bathroom. No backup of any kind for load shedding.
It's been a nice place, it's just a shame there are no outside chairs or a broom and shovel inside the house, because there are a lot of ants. I would also only suggest some utensils for people who want to barbecue.
Host very nice and considerate. The room only lacked bedside lamps, otherwise it was perfect. Must have been a mistake with the bed lamps. WiFi worked 100%. TV is also good.
We had already stayed here before, and as with our previous visit, it had everything that weary travelers need: a small fridge, a bed to sleep on, and a bathroom with nice hot water. Thank you very much, it made our long journey back with a good night's rest a little easier.
I would suggest that the management pay attention to the cleanliness of their bedding and towels. The fridge was not clean either. We were just staying over during a family visit and were overall very happy with our visit.
Buks received us and is a very friendly and pleasant person. The room was clean but had a feeling of neglect due to the bedding. New pillows and linens are definitely a must. Could really do with bedside lamps. Instead, it feels like it's overnight accommodation for workers and not really meant for tourists. The bed was rock hard and the pillows lumpy.
Road to the lodge was poor. No mobile reception during load shedding.
Bedding was old and washed out, no bed lamps like in pictures, ants carried us away and no Doom or poison to control them a bit. The house was very clean.
The beds have mattresses as thin as paper. The room was not cleaned, and the bathroom had a foul smell. The room had no cutlery to even make the coffee provided (no cookies like in the picture). All and all a very unfortunate mistake.

Beautiful thatched cottages, inside only the essentials. Unfortunately no sink to wash dishes. However, we had a great barbecue at the large table and chairs outside. Friendly and helpful reception.

We were doing long trips and needed a comfortable, clean and convenient one night stopover. Sleepers provided all that we expected.
The place is neat, friendly, quiet and safe. The beds are a nightmare from a penal camp! I have never seen such a hard, uncomfortable bed in my life! Really can't believe anyone can sleep peacefully on it. This is the only reason I can't give them more stars. I would not recommend it to anyone. Any sleep was almost impossible.

Rooms very neat. Manager was very friendly and helpful. Secure parking. Great comfort after a long drive.
Slept well. Would have liked if there were more coffee. Immediately used the coffee when I arrived and didn't have coffee for the next day. The place was clean.
We asked beforehand for dinner and breakfast. These meals were set out very nicely in a large room - the dinner was very delicious and excellent value. However the breakfast was very disappointing for the price. We were there when there was heavy rain and we had water dripping slowly onto the bathroom floor - the owner was grateful for us mentioning this and no doubt this has subsequently been rectified. The potholes on the roads to get to Sleepers Guest Lodge are obviously not the fault of the Lodge but they are so bad that I would not recommend staying there.
We were without power for about an hour and a half. Only after that a generator was switched on. I feel that owners/managers of guesthouses/accommodations should be prepared for this and take action in time. We did not sleep well because the mattresses are not of good quality.
Place was neat and clean. Pure white towels were provided. The place was equipped with everything one would need for the night. Thank you for the delicious cookies! After the dry winter it even rained lightly in Bloemhof.
Truly a home where you can recharge your batteries. We also had breakfast and dinner there and it was of high quality. We will definitely visit again. PJ is an excellent host. It's 7 km from Bloemhof Dam and I hope to make another visit when the dam is full.
The reception was excellent as for the arrangements should we arrive after 19:00. No complaints.

The reception by JP was very good and he met all our expectations. There were even braai facilities with wood as well as a dining room with cutlery if required. The rooms were clean and tidy.
Sleepers' host is a gem of a person. Friendly, helpful and hospitable.
The owner is still upgrading the place, and it looks like he knows what he's doing. The cleanliness with which the beds are made can improve and some customers will be disappointed because they cannot follow their TV programs, but the variety of films that can be seen in the rooms can be a good substitute for TV with some technical improvements . The most important thing is: PJ (the owner) is strongly focused on the comfort and satisfaction of his customers.
Affordable, clean, neat overnight stay. Quiet area. Get what you paid for.
Room was very stuffy with bad smell due to faulty drains. I recommend that it be repaired. Faucet is right in front of the door to the room causing guests to walk through mud into the room.
