27 guests' feedbackWe wanted to rest and explore Bonnievale, and we were able to do both. We had a great time and would stay at Smitten Glamping again anytime. The owners went out of their way to accommodate any of our needs, which we really appreciated and made our stay even more enjoyable.

Erik is an excellent host! He helped us so much! We were there for 4 nights during one of the worst storms in the Western Cape. At the end, when the storm showed its worst side, Erik moved us to the cottage on Monday afternoon for our last night. It was great to be able to get out of the wind and rain - thanks Erik! Both units are great and just the right place to break away and recharge! Despite the storm, we really enjoyed it and came home rested.
Everything was perfect. Unit is well equipped to the finest detail. Will definitely want to stay there again.

Very nice stay, bliss in itself.
We had a great time during our one night stay. We did struggle with the wood, but given that it is the middle of winter, one can also understand that.
Was a fantastic visit. Quality time, beautiful view and definitely a special experience to camp in luxury style. Along with camping, you still have to look out for nature's little visitors. It was really pleasant.
We have seen a video on the place by a couple we follow on YouTube, so we were very excited for our stay. . Unfortunately the disappointment was far greater than the pleasure. We never got to see the owners to explain anything or ask if we needed anything. Whatsapp communication only. The tent was all zipped up and it had been well in the high 30 degree Celsius on the day of arrival. No fan to help cool us down. We had to have salad and bread for supper as the wood didn't want to burn. Please note we are VERY regular braaiers so we know how to make a fire. Only one of us could sit outside on the camping chairs as one is broken. The water has such a horrible sewerage smell to it that we didnt even shower or get in the hot tub. It was really not a very pleasant stay for ua, so much so that we wanted to leave the same evening as ariving. . Couple of things that also needs attention and repairing. Hooks and guides on flaps missing and or broken, zippers thats broken, holes in the tents netting, laminated info sheets thats falling appart and has so many stains on it. So disappointed in the place. Will not recommend or stay here again!
With nature and an outdoor wood-fired hot tub, we couldn't ask for more.
Thank you very much for sharing this piece of heaven with us. Everything has been thought of (apart from the washing line) and the quality of the fittings is top quality. Beautiful view of valley and mountains. Would definitely recommend to any couple or family with up to 2 small children. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This is a beautiful unit with everything you could need. The hot tub with the most beautiful view. Really a must.
Even the rain won't stop you from enjoying your stay, the unit has 2 fireplaces creating a very romantic ambience while overlooking the beautiful valley! There's a hot tub to relax and unwind in. Fully equipped for load shedding, so you are off the grid. Definitely, a must-visit to break away from the chaos.
Perfect, beautiful, quiet getaway.
We were blown away with the beautiful accommodation! The view from the swing is incredibly beautiful and we enjoyed the tranquility very much. Everything was neat and clean (the bed linen and towels smelled so good). The hot tub was hot when we got there and we were able to get in right away with a glass of wine. You grill sums in your bedroom - what more could you ask for. We would recommend everyone to visit the Smitten Glamping Unit. We will definitely go again! 10 out of 10!
Smitten Glamping Tent is absolutely stunning. The view is amazing. You are on your own secluded and so peaceful. The place is well equipped with everything you would need and more. However, I was disappointed with a few things, most importantly the jacuzzi. We did not end up using it because when we stirred up the water to heat the bottom, all this gunk came up. It was very off-putting. Sadly, the shower was also blocked, and the bathroom was not cleaned properly. But it is a beautiful bathroom. Then there were the kitchen utensils. These too were not cleaned. They had old food and oil on certain utensils, which clearly were not washed by previous people or cleaned by the cleaners. Other than that, being a pet-friendly place, it is really fabulous. Just a heads up, there are no trees for you to sit outside under as it really gets hot. So, bring along your outdoor umbrellas when you come. We will definitely go back if all the above gets attended to.

The hot tub wasn't filled properly so the water didn't heat up, when contacting the owner he didn't help, he just said keep adding wood and sent us the manual which was of no help at all.

Highly recommended for people who like the silence and seclusion from everyday noise. Very well equipped unit that is very neat and clean. Everything is perfect! Will definitely visit the place again!
