Wonderful place to relax and get away from the city. Beautiful landscapes and the ocean just a walk away. Great place to bond with family over game night!

We had a very exciting time. The location of the house was very close to shops, which made it ideal if we needed to run to the store. The property was very secure and safe.

We as a group (8 people) enjoyed ourselves at Smooth Sailing. The house was tidy and everything we needed was there. The pool was also pretty clean. I would definitely recommend Smooth Sailing.

The stay was very nice. The house is very well equipped. I enjoyed the indoor braai, and all the extra bathrooms are a plus. Entertainment was also good with Netflix, DStv, and WiFi available. The pool was not very clean, and the cover was not very practical. The house could do with a proper clean, but other than that, the place was great. I would recommend it to a family with kids anytime.
The place was not pet friendly as we had to constantly look out for our dogs when left in the garden. No proper ventilation for the weather that we experienced. There was only one fan in the main bedroom and it was connected with the other light in the room. There was only one teaspoon in the whole house. The glasses were not properly washed even though the cleaning person was there before we checked in. The internet only worked for the first day and then it was unavailable. What was written on the welcome sheet about the TVs in the house was incorrect; the top bedrooms, including the main bedroom, did not have only Netflix on them; they only had DStv, which wasn't working due to the host not paying their account. We therefore watched no TV and had to figure out a plan to somehow connect to the TV so that we could watch something.

The house was clean, bathrooms are huge, and the pool is smaller than expected, but serves the purpose. The area around the pool is smaller than expected, but the house space makes up for it. The estate is very safe and quiet.
The place looks better in person, and the pictures doesn't do it justice. Definitely looking to go back there.

The house is beautiful, the indoor braai was a game changer on the windy days. A beautiful area for long walks, but not much else to do so it forces you to unwind completely. We had a great stay!
Lovely 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom holiday house with a pool, which is in a secure estate. It is within walking distance to the beach. They were gracious enough to allow us to check in early, and the check-out time was at 14h00, which was awesome. The house has everything you need and more. The only downside was that the place was not fully prepared by the time we arrived. Other than that, I would definitely recommend you stay there.

We were kindly received. Unfortunately the WiFi didn't want to work at first, but the owner contacted the service provider and they sorted the problem.
We had a great stay! We were a family of 8. Our father is almost 80. Our only problem was that the sofa in front of the TV cannot take 8 people to sit and watch TV. We couldn't all sit around a table and eat either. It's a bit difficult to walk up with food and plates to sit upstairs and eat.
The house stay was great, just that it was not very clean. We could not use the showers as they weren't cleaned properly. There was hair in them and they just looked like they needed cleaning. Guests also need to be notified that the garage is not available for use. The basin on the right side of the main bedroom was out of order and we were not notified. We could not cover the pool as the cover was stuck somehow. We ran out of electricity on Sunday morning, so we had to buy R50 worth. People in the estate are friendly, and so is the caretaker. We all enjoyed the beach, which is about 100m away. We walked.
Stay was very nice, calm atmosphere and a great host but the house needs a proper spring clean before guests arrive. Also would have been appreciated if we were advised of the leak in the roof (had to get up in the middle of the night to mop the stairs to avoid someone seriously injuring themselves). The headboard in the one room was also broken, could have attempted to fix it before our arrival or advise of same.
The house was booked by us again because its layout is good and beautiful, so I really recommend people. You will not make a mistake. Owner, she is a topper.
We loved our stay here. The house is amazing and has more amenities than we could ask for on a holiday. St Helena is also a great town if you prefer a quieter holiday destination. Definitely going to stay there again.

The house was much bigger than the pictures looked. It's in a beach estate which made us feel safe and secure. It was so peaceful, so the perfect escape to relax and unwind. We were allowed to bring our little pet dog by arrangement and the estate was lovely to take her for morning walks. Nice little pool for hot days and indoor and outdoor braai area. The rooms were really spacious. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Travelling with family and meeting everyone's needs and expectations can be difficult, but Smooth Sailing definitely ticked all the boxes. Each room has extra blankets and mattresses, so plenty of extra sleeping space available, especially for kids. The house was neat upon arrival and the sailor theme throughout the house adds to the mood and tranquility of a seaside stay. The kitchen is well equipped with about everything that you need.
It was peaceful, relaxing, no busy city life. Walks on the beach, sitting on rocks for hours. Would recommend Smooth Sailing.
The house has a lot of space and is very nicely furnished. The children especially enjoyed the pool. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. We really enjoyed the sea air in the mornings. I would recommend either one to escape to for a few days afterwards. We soon found the house and got the keys from the neighbors. This is definitely a must come again for our family.

Beautiful house, fully resourced and equipped. Very clean so much more than self catering generally offers and it exceeded my expectations. I can't boast enough. Smooth sailing is situated in a safe beach estate. The neighbours are not very close property wise but very friendly. A local Spar is close for shopping. It's beyond value for money. The surrounding is soo therapeutic. You won't regret it. Then support provided throughout your stay for anything needed. It's managed very well.

The stay was absolutely amazing. We would definitely go back. Everything we needed was there or could be purchased at the local store. The neighbour was so friendly when we arrived and when we left. I would visit again just to see her again. The pool was a little smaller than we thought and the lights in the shared bathroom upstairs were not all working, so the light was a little dim, we used our phones for extra light. But it wasn't a big deal, the kids enjoyed bath time. Ample cupboard space and the dishwasher was a time saver. Nobody needed to stand in the kitchen cleaning up. The beach was within walking distance and I loved the pool cover, especially for my son, he is 4 and I could cover the pool for his safety.
We, as a family, really enjoyed our time at Smooth Sailing, swimming and barbecuing.
