It is a lovely, clean place with safe parking. The breakfast is lovely with generous portions. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We encountered three 'negatives'. Firstly, there were only one large and one small towel. We would have preferred to each have a large and a small towel. Secondly, the mattress on the left side of the bed (nearest to the window) really needs replacement. It was not comfortable at all. Thirdly, the room really needs a small fridge. Even a bar-fridge would have worked. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay, and we would definitely stay there again.
Great stay. Very well provisioned cottages. We were driving from far so we arrived in the dark. It was tricky to find the road in the dark, so I recommend people try to get there before daylight ends.

It was disorganised. There was no-one there to meet us and the gentleman that was there was very busy and distracted, trying to deal with multiple people at once. The pool was divine but I didn't enjoy the fact that the self-catering aspects of the accommodation were communal. I was expecting to have a fridge and kitchenette in my bedroom.
Bad smell from nearby farm. Room congested. Shower flooded the bathroom floor. No place to place toiletries (washbasin too small). Noisy during the night with rattling windows.
The reception was absolutely pathetic. The man who received us kept us away from the reception area and we had to sign into the dining room. Later in the afternoon we saw that there were other 'friends' there in reception who were busy watching television. The area was dirty and food was lying on the ground. He refused to speak Afrikaans. Maybe he can't, but then they shouldn't advertise that Afrikaans is spoken here. Furthermore, he was very inept and curt. The room was so small that you had to go outside to change your mind. I was under the impression that we would be sharing the bathroom with one other room and that it would still be accessible from our room, which was not the case. Three rooms shared the bathroom, and unfortunately the hygiene of the guests who were there in the afternoon was not to our liking. So we found other accommodation the same afternoon. I will never visit this place again!

The stay is nothing to write about, non descript, cheap B&B, some good some bad. The room was damp, breakfast was good, room wasn't delux, we asked for photos beforehand but didn't receive it. Not all the lights in the bathroom worked and the fitting is rusted. The shower was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. They had loadshedding lightbulbs which were great.

Neat, slightly wrong location, quite a lot of traffic to get to the town centre. Couldn't watch the Springbok game in the room, they don't have all the channels. Internet in the room was so slow I could not work. Apparently it is faster in the other part of the B&B, there are 2 wings. And you shouldn't be in a hurry with breakfast, it takes a long time, one guy who has to make breakfast for everyone.
I cannot fault Soeteweide on anything at all. The owners were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate me. Some mornings I left very early to attend meetings and most evenings I returned very late. This was never a problem to the owners. If I missed breakfast, I was offered dinner instead. I will definitely book here again

Parking is very poor, sometimes had to park car outside the building.
There were many things broken in the room. The room stank when we entered. There were still chips in the bed Kassie. 1 of the pillows was still dirty. It was not pleasant.

Location is easy to find, location is safe, street very quiet, peaceful, access to home, manager is very friendly, helpful, clean, tidy and would definitely recommend.

Clean, neat and good service. Blanco is not the best suburb though - you feel unsafe to drive from the town through Blanco after dark. Guesthouse is a very good choice though. Will make use of it again.

Unfortunately they were busy with renovations and the construction workers walked by our windows the whole time and the noise was ongoing. We wanted to have a relaxing time in George, but it wasn't what we got. The bathroom wasn't clean and the bedding wasn't ironed.
