4 guests' feedbackWhat an absolute gem in the heart of McGregor. Owner Charel went out of his way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The daybed on the veranda lends itself to a delicious afternoon nap, the furniture, beds and swimming pool are a delightful delight.
The 3 nights were very nice. Family time. Thank you very much for your kindness during our stay at Soli Deo Gloria. It's a beautiful place you can be proud of. Definitely see you again soon!
We stayed for a weekend, our first trip to McGregor. The rooms were small, but comfortable. Charl went above and beyond with his communication and checked up a few times during our stay to make sure everything was comfortable. We shared the property with another family, but had no privacy issues. The pool and garden are both great spots to relax. A great choice for a short stay, and a big thanks to Charl for being such a generous host.
The stay was ok, but the place was under renovation, which was not mentioned. We had to sleep in a room where the ceiling was not fully fitted. Indoor braai with no big enough grid to braai. The drive was not good; I nearly burnt the car clutch. They said it's because of the storm, but we could see it had been like that for some time. The next door guest had a big dog. I asked the owner if she could keep the dog inside as it nearly bit my baby. It never happened. I asked him for a double plug to charge the phones, but there was no plug. He told us there is a shop selling it cheap; he doesn't provide that, it's been stolen quickly. We had to phone him and ask where to drop the keys when we left. Some of the wall plugs also didn't work. The shower mixer was also broken.
