I enjoyed the luxury comfortable beds and crisp linen. Double french doors lead open to courtyard with garden furniture. Full bathroom with amenities. Full tea and coffee station with fresh milk! DSTV and flat screen tv. The aircon is nice to have when needed. I loved the work-study area with chair. Mona is always the perfect host and available. I could choose my own cooked breakfast. The private entrance is great to have. I have booked another stay. So close to N1 highway and M1. Very close to the Mall and restaurants. Safe and secure streets to walk and exercise. Close to Irene Farm and Irene Mall. Loved the high speed WiFi.
No complaints, would be an asset to any person.
This is the second time I stay at Somerlus. What a beautiful place. The room is so beautiful and elegant, the breakfast was delicious and the hostess very friendly and professional. Thank you very much, I will definitely stay there again.
Our visit was over 2 nights. We were received earlier without problem and the guest house is neat, spacious and clean with covered parking space for vehicle (it helped a lot with the rain). Mona makes the most delicious breakfast. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

Coming from the hot Lowveld I would appreciate a heater/towel warmer in the bathroom. Furthermore, there was only one electrical two-point plug. Otherwise, the facilities are durable, clean and very tidy. Furthermore, it is very quiet, and the breakfast is tasty and on time.
We had a getaway weekend, and stayed 2 nights at Somerslus Gastehuis. The room was painfully neat, and equipped with everything one needs. The nice big bathroom was a treat - with a "slipper" bath as well as a shower. Everything clean and tidy. The garden is beautiful and well maintained. Mona is a fantastic hostess, she makes you feel right at home. We also had a delicious breakfast both mornings. We thoroughly enjoyed the silence and tranquility and will definitely go there again in the future if we feel the pressure of city life too much.
During business trips, one does not necessarily want the most luxurious accommodation, but cleanliness and comfort are essential, especially after a long day of client meetings. This includes natural WiFi, so at least you can keep your admin and preparation up to date as well. Well, that's what I expected from Somerslus and it would have been good value for money. What I experienced was the mentioned, but also so much more! No shortage of luxury, wonderful, friendly service, lock up parking, spotless cleanliness and an extremely tasty breakfast. What more can I say: I immediately made my next reservation and this time I'm taking my wife with me, because for a nice, relaxing weekend away with Afrikaans is Groot, Somerslus will be just as great an option as for a busy business visit!

This was our second time booking at Somerslus. Very neat, comfortable accommodation. In a security complex, quiet, tree-rich area. The hostess served a delicious breakfast. We will definitely go back again.

Was very pleased with the room and the service of Mona and Anna.
We travelled with a one and five year old. I emailed Mona before to ask if she had a camping cot. She replied promptly and let us know that it would not be a problem. We booked the family unit with two beautiful rooms sharing a very spacious bathroom (shower and bath). We all used one room as the kids are still small. A single bed was made up for our 5 year old. There is a little kitchen where one can prepare food for the children. Our car was parked in a garage and we had our own remote. The guest house is beautiful and peaceful. We are already planning our next stay!
