Great Brak River, which is situated midway between George and Mossel Bay is a lovely, peaceful area. Sweeping panoramic views complement the outstanding characteristics of this jewel of the Southern Cape. The beautiful, unspoilt beaches in the area and the lagoon offer safe swimming. The presence of Southern Right and other whales from May till November is one of the town’s main attractions. The resort has a caravan park, a kiosk and privately owned beach houses.

What a lovely holiday at Sun on the Water. We were pleasantly surprised when we got there. The photos on the website are a bit outdated. Andre, our friendly and helpful host, has promised to post new photos on the website. The living room has comfortable furniture with flat screen TV (not as in the photos), with DSTV. Gas stove in the kitchen. Furthermore, there is everything that is needed for a long holiday for the whole family. It was the nicest stay we may have ever had. The environment is peaceful and the neighbors are considerate and friendly. Made some new friends too. Beautiful view to all sides. Walking distance from the beach. Thank you very much, Andre for a wonderful holiday. Will stay longer next time. The two weeks were just too short!
The owner himself could not be there, but communicated well with me and everything was perfectly in order upon our arrival. The place is clean and there is more than what is needed. We had a great stay and I would recommend the place with an open mind. He even allowed us to check out a little later in the day first which was a big help.

The house has a breathtaking view of the sea and you can hear the sea in the house. The house itself is beautiful and well equipped. The owner received us kindly and went out of his way to make us comfortable.

We got a bottle of coffee, 1 liter of milk, wood, DStv, lightning, braai facilities, soap and towels. There were 200 units of power of which we used less than 50 units! So leave your pantry at home and come enjoy Sun on the Water!!

Beautiful view! Saw dolphins in waves every day, was even lucky to see whale. Excellent equipped house, safe environment and very friendly service from owner. Would definitely recommend Sun on Water, and stay there again, our family had a great holiday.
Sun on the Water was everything and more. The house has everything you could need, with a wonderful view. Andrè was on site to welcome us, and showed us where everything was. I will definitely use Sun on the Water again.

Sun on the water is well located and very safe. Friendly service and the place is spotless with everything you could possibly need.
Can highly recommend this accommodation. In particular the cooperation of the owner who went out of his way to ensure that we were able to get television reception to watch the rugby. The security is also very reassuring and the staff at the entrance gate are very helpful and friendly.
It's a beautiful, neat and very comfortable place with a nice view. Absolutely worth it. We will definitely go again.
Very nice stay, the owner also phoned to hear if we need anything and if we are satisfied, really cares about the people who stay there for their holidays. Furthermore, it is a place to which one would like to return to every time.
