Photos are very misleading. House is very dusty. Paint shell off walls and ceiling. No washing machine in the house or big washing line. Refrigerator does not make cold. Pieces of glass found on porch and grass. Barbecue grill was very dirty. Disappointing.

I personally enjoyed my stay because of the location. It is set right on the beach with activities within walking distance. The furniture at the place is a little tired though and we did have a problem with ants on the property. Other than that everything was great and real value for money. The owners are also very accommodating.

Sunrays' view makes the house a winner! The house itself is cosy, tidy, spacious (except maybe for the kitchen) and very comfortable. We will definitely go back again. Marius was only a phone call away and always willing to help. One little thing that would make everything perfect would be a washing machine. Thank you very much for a lovely holiday - keeping 9 people between the ages of 14 and 76 happy will be done. Already want it back.

We as a family group enjoyed the most wonderful few days at Sonnestrale House. The house has everything one needs. It was wonderful to have the sea right on your doorstep.

Very nice, spacious holiday house next to the ocean. The house itself is well equipped and the location is good and a very nice holiday home. The sunrise is breathtaking. Will use the house again. Needs a bit of renovation, but it's only small things.

Personally I think the house needs some repairs. The roof is leaking in all the rooms. The house needs a paint job inside or the walls need to be washed. Other than that, a lovely house and beautiful view.

The place is well located and within walking distance of the beach. The house met all our needs. It was clean and tidy. Would recommend it if anyone wants to go on holiday there.

For the money you pay you would think there would at least be a washing machine, but there wasn't, nor was there a washing line. They also didn't mention it on the website until about 3 days before we arrived. The downstairs bedroom was full of lice and everyone who slept there was full of bites. The mattresses on all the beds are cooked and no one can sleep on them. The unit had not been properly cleaned in months and you can see that the front is only cleaned quickly before new people come in. Lots of cockroaches in the cupboards and drawers that are not cleaned. The crockery all had to be rewashed because much of it was dirty. The unit can sleep 12 people but there is only a small fridge which does not have enough space for everyone's food and drinks. Luckily we took two fridges and at least there was a box freezer. The furniture in the living room is worn, dirty, broken material and you hardly even feel like sitting on it and here too there are bugs that eat you if you sit still for more than 10 minutes. The braai facilities are large enough but the grills and braai itself are rusted and burned through. We reported an exterior light that was out and it was never replaced. Some of the outside chairs were broken but at least they were replaced when we complained about them. A cell phone was stolen through one of the windows so the house is not very safe. I called the agency and wanted to speak to the agent in person. The lady in the office herself was very protective and said that he was very busy, as if she was trying to keep you away from him. The next day I called again and again it said he was busy. After I threatened, Marius came to the house. He brought two cleaners to clean the house again because we complained that it was dirty. They put clean sheets on the beds. I went through the house with Marius and pointed out and discussed everything for him. He undertook to discuss it with the owner. He also mentioned that he was not actually aware that the house was in such a bad condition but that he agreed there are many things such as the mattresses, furniture and general maintenance that the house really lacks. He would have come back to us to give feedback on the possible replacement of some of the mattresses but he never did. At least he replaced the two garden chairs and the braai brush. It is actually a great pity that this house looks like this. This is a nice big house with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms making it ideal for a large family. The bedrooms all have a sea view and it is 200m from the sea. There are no other houses in front of you. The house is wonderfully located. The agent is friendly but I get the impression that the owner is not keen on doing the maintenance on this house. The house is also on the market so I don't know if that might be the reason. My opinion is that if the owner renovates this house, replaces the furniture and spends money on the property then he can charge more for the rent on the spot due to the location and size. He will then also get customers who repeatedly rent the place from him again due to the size and location. The sad thing about the situation is that a photo does not really show you what is going on in the house. LekkeSlaap should preferably not list this house until the mistakes are fixed because I feel it also damages your reputation. It was very difficult to go on vacation for 18 days with a sore back and lots of bites on the body every day, but as my sister said, at least we're going back home with something, even if it's bites.

We enjoyed staying at the house there was a lot of space and we all settled nicely, however we understood it to be a self catering house, but the rules and regulations does not align with the materials in the house. They say they need us to clean and wipe dishes and clean the house and bathrooms, but there was no materials for us to use. We had not been told that we should bring with items like sunlight dishwasher, handy andy or detergents for the bathroom, sponges, refuse bags, dish towels and toilets paper. We discovered that all these things were not there, especially the toilet paper, and we had to spend money and look for shops that night to buy it. We kindly ask the management to rectify this as it was a great inconvenience. Make all cleaning materials available to guests in order for them to enjoy the holiday as it is the main issue about the visit.
