Sylnet and her family were very accommodating. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in their garden cottage. The place is beautiful and perfectly fitted for both winter and summer visits. The garden cottage has a breakfast nook and a porch that gets morning sun and afternoon sun. It was honestly the perfect place, and I will definitely book the accommodation in the future. The beach is not too far away either, barely a 5-minute drive, and if you're up for a walk, it's a good way to get in your steps for the day. Overall, a beautiful place to catch a breather from the hustle and bustle of life.

We were there on honeymoon. The host was kind enough to leave some goodies in the fridge. The lighthouse isn't too far. She gave great recommendations. Will definitely return. There's a bar to watch rugby close by which is nice if you don't want to drive far. The beds were also super comfy with an electric blanket for the chilly evenings.

This is a no-smoking unit. Unfortunately we couldn't use the very comfortable deck because smoke fumes from the main house were very disturbing on the deck.

All that was a challenge was the gas shower and the low pressure of the water for the gas geyser.

We were greeted by a sparkly clean unit and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the linen, supersoft bath towels, cutlery and crockery. There were books and pamphlets about the area as well as a special file with info on sightseeing, trails, restaurants and other shops. I do recommend South of Africa without hesitation!
Nicely close to the restaurants, lighthouse and sea. Very neat and modern. Hostess very friendly and helpful, they were away the 2 days we were there and she offered that we could check out later than usual time. Also found out via WhatsApp in the afternoon if everything went well. Only small criticism is that the bathroom is a bit small. Netflix and Youtube also available. Can recommend with utmost confidence.

The place is located very close to restaurants, the coast, and Alghulus Nature Reserve. The only issue that we had was the fact that for the duration of our stay, we did not have any housekeeping; the unit was never cleaned, the bed was never made up, and there was nowhere in the rules that we were informed about this.

WiFi just a little slow, with no reception on the veranda, but if you are there to rest, you should switch off and do a digital detox! The apartment itself is well and very neatly laid out. Privacy is first class and area is safe. The host and hostess are lovely people and very helpful, they even offered us a barbecue grill and chairs. I consider it very helpful and willingness to make us feel really at home. Our check-in time was 14:00, but the hostess let us know we could come at 12:00. Much appreciated, as we checked out at Langezandt at 10:00.

If prospective guests are not too agile, I'd caution against using the Elevated Suite as some might find getting out the door onto the landing while carrying luggage a bit challenging and awkward! The door opens outwards onto the landing at the top of the stairs. Not a major issue - we're in our mid 70's and we coped, but it could be difficult for older or less spry individuals.

The weather cooperated nicely in August, it was wonderfully sunny. The venue has a good view of the town and the sea but the hump is not terribly walk-friendly. The Netflix through-the-TV option was very welcome, but the WiFi was a bit spotty depending on where you stood in the venue.

Very neat and nicely equipped unit with high quality linen. The hostess was very friendly and gave us good advice on where to eat and what to do in the area. She also let us know about an item we forgot there and sent it to us at our vacation destination we were headed to. Because we come from Gauteng, we would have been a little more reassured if we could park our car safely behind security gates. It was also the first time we came to a guest house where there was Showmax but no other DStv channels that we could catch! All in all - very pleasant experience. This unit has everything you need and what you don't have Sylnet will give you. I always book through the website and this is the best 'ingerig' unit I have ever stayed in. Parking is off the road but open so might scare a lot of people but this is Agulhas not Gauteng. We stayed 3 nights and it was more than we needed. Sylnet, we will definitely visit again.

Very friendly welcome in a clean, tidy, fully equipped self-service unit. Does not have TV reception, but you can watch video.
We were kindly welcomed and taken to our extremely neat sleeping unit. The leaky sleeping place was equipped with warm bedding and electric blankets that broke the winter cold.
Room is very cold. There is no air-conditioning, no heating, no TV!
Perfect accommodation - the house has room enough for 6 people and 2 more people in the flatlet. Comfortable couches, kitchen properly equipped (dishwasher!) and everything you need, lovely fireplace in the lounge for those freezing nice or a "potjie", nice courtyard for a social time. The deck on the garage is also perfect for breakfast with a view, but unfortunately the weather didn't play along. And for the first time the showerhead was also a treat! Very comfy bed (mattress and pillows despite being made of foam), panel heaters against the walls, electric blanket. Thanks for wonderful, affordable, clean accommodation.
It was nice to escape the city for a weekend. Fully equipped with everything you need with a big living area and bedrooms. It would be the perfect escape with a small group of friends too.
