The kitchen is equipped with 2 fridge-freezers, a stove, microwave, a kettle, airfryer, crockery and cutlery. The unit has a smart TV with Netflix, Showmax and DStv Premium. The unit is equipped with a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a dishwasher, a portable Weber braai and a safe for laptops and firearms. The unit has a much needed air-con in the lounge area which will also cool the main bedroom.
Uncapped Wi-Fi and router on UPS - in case of load shedding the router will remain on. Battery back-up will also keep the TV and a light on in the lounge. Emergency load shedding bulbs are installed in all bedrooms as well as outside solar lights. The complex has water tanks to supply water if need be.
There are ceiling fans in the lounge and all bedrooms. A baby safety gate is available to keep little ones safe on stairs. A cleaning service can be arranged at an additional cost.
The beach is only 40 m from the gate and the main swimming beach is about 100 m from unit. The main beach is child friendly and is protected by shark nets. Life savers during peak times. There is a beautiful, natural hiking trail on the other side of the lagoon with a majestic view of sea and beaches on both sides. You are allowed to fish in this area if you have a fishing permit, so bring along your fishing gear.
The complex is very secure and equipped with an electric fence. The unit has been fitted with an alarm system which is connected to armed response, security doors, outside solar lights and emergency bulbs in all rooms.

9 guests' feedbackThere are very few places that have it all and have a porch like this. Fantastic.
No one tells you before you book and pay that there are 95 steps to go up or down with a lot of luggage. You can't go with less if you have to carry food, drink and coolers for a week's worth of food. We were told, but after I had already paid. My wife has a knee problem and had a lot of trouble with the stairs. This is the greatest pity. What happens to people who depend on wheelchairs? The houses are also rather claustrophobic and too close to each other. Apart from this we had a very nice stay.
Fully equipped for self-catering. Remember lots of stairs for off- and on-loading.
Very friendly and really well equipped with everything you need. Nice sea view and against the beach. One of the best places so far. Value for money.
The apartment is very well equipped which gives everyone a chance to rest. Lovely house by the sea.
It felt like our own place to us. Everything you need was there and my wife was very pleased with the whole layout. Lovely location where there is always a breeze. It must be great to stay here during the warmer months. The house is very well located and nice on the beach. The master bedroom that opens onto the deck made for those nice nights sleeping with the door open, and just listening to the waves. Covered parking a bit limited for large vehicles but that didn't put us off at all. The rest made up for als. We would love to stay here again. The children really enjoyed it and the shad fishing was great. Sommer at the sea wreck and nearby Glenmore beach. What a safe and tidy place. Thanks also to Liz, the owner, who followed up all the time before our stay and with our departure. It just felt like service again from the good old days. Thanks also to LekkeSlaap. You can only rate this place five stars.
A wonderful break from all the hustle and bustle. Close enough to everything one would need for a holiday but still close to nature and tranquility.
The place was bought by new owners 6 months ago. The new owners are incredibly friendly, hospitable and helpful. They are upgrading the place which is clearly visible. The place has everything one needs. It is very private, well laid out and very close to the sea which is incredibly convenient. A place to rest undisturbed with the sound of the sea in the background.
We found the place to be well equipped especially in the kitchen. We had trouble with all the steps, but the very friendly staff hurried to help us both when we arrived and when we left. It was worth it to find ourselves so close to the beach. Just wished we had more time to spend there.
