27 guests' feedbackWe really had a great time at Soutkloof. Silence, tranquility and nice close to home for a break. The house is wonderfully spacious and well equipped. The hostess is wonderful, friendly and helpful. We had a great time cycling, jogging and walking on the farm. Also nice to explore the area from here.
We had the most fantastic stay at Soutkloof. We arrived after dusk on the Friday evening to a fire burning in the fireplace and lights on, all very welcoming. Tannie Karin had kindly put some toys in the bedroom for our 3.5-year-old, much to her delight! The house was well stocked with firewood, as well as all the necessary essentials. On Sunday, Oom Andries took us for a ride around the farm to see the various animals and to tell us a bit about the history of the place. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and look forward to returning again soon!
Beautiful place. Thank you very much for all your effort!
Quiet and safe environment, beautiful and well equipped accommodation. Very warm welcome.
Fantastic! Our hosts were helpful, friendly, and available all the time. The house was beautifully furnished with everything we needed, down to toys for the children. The farm is quiet and we rested wonderfully. Birds were plentiful, and my boy thoroughly enjoyed the ride-along trip on the farm!
We had a very nice stay. The facilities were good and the house neat and well equipped.
Tranquility and hospitality at its best. The only problem is that there was no cleaning the day after as we spent two nights, so we expected that the guest farm would be clean upon our departure, but unfortunately that was not the case. If that can be worked on, it will be awesome.
If you are looking for a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just want some peace and quiet, this is the place. The owners are people of heart and like to share information about the farm. We were in a pinch with dead batteries, so they pulled out a tractor to "jump start" our vehicle. It speaks volumes. Our four year old enjoyed the space and animals and it was so safe for him to just be a kid for once. You will definitely see us again!
Only the lighting needs some attention, but it is really nice and cosy. Very quiet.
Warm welcome, lovely historic cottage, spacious and comfortably furnished. Warm cuddly beds, indoor fireplace and barbecue. Waving green wheat fields, they deserve more than just 5 stars!
Karen is a fantastic hostess. She goes out of her way to make her guests feel at home and makes sure they have everything they need. Will visit there again if we travel that way.
This was our second stay at Soutkloof Guest House, which is a really quiet, lovely farmhouse in the middle of the farmlands. If you're looking for some peace and quiet, a lovely indoor braai, and a well-equipped kitchen just to take some time out to unwind, then this is a great option. My only complaint is that the main living room lights on the ceiling don't seem to work, and if memory serves this was the same the last time we visited. It would be nice if those could be turned on (we tried every light switch we could find and could only get the lamp to work).
Good location with privacy with the farm atmosphere.
The atmosphere was ideal for us who drove very far. We were able to relax and rest and the peaceful surroundings gave us a good night's rest. The old farmhouse was very neat and well equipped. It was ideal for us and the house itself reminded us of our nice young days of visiting the farm.
Thank you for the beautiful place, we will visit you again. Beautiful place and beautiful people, we are grateful for a very special weekend.
Comfortable and not expensive al all.
The indoor barbecue was a winner with the slight thunderstorm we had. Karin is a wonderful hostess who spoiled the grandchildren with extra toys. Soutkloof Guesthouse definitely remains on our list.
This is definitely a gem of a place. The accommodation can hold 6 adults comfortable. There are extra mattress and a cot. It is neat with Wi-Fi, drinkable tap water and an inside braai. The views from the stoep are relaxing, with a cat or two who will come visit ever so often.
Most definitely a hidden gem, just what one needs to unwind the ones busy life.

We had a great time there. House has everything needed and is very clean and tidy. Can highly recommend.
Great place away from everyone and everything. Lovely views of farms etc. Large porch with braai place a winner!
The stay was too short. Peaceful and relaxing, thank you. Keep it up and good luck.
We enjoyed our stay there very much. Nice and peaceful and the guest house had that traditional farm house feel and look. Would recommend to friends and family. Was great walking around the farm!
See stars.
Our bed had good linen and although there was load shedding in the evening there were good battery lights.
Wonderful, cool old house. Great stay, braai and played with the cats.
