Shower is extremely small, very uncomfortable. Bed mattress gave me body ache. Hanging cabinets are dirty, dusty. Spiders and spider shelves in hanging cabinets. It is neat but not properly clean. WiFi didn't work at all. Couldn't do my emails.
Unpleasant, there was a water pump directly outside the room that switched on and off constantly day and night. There was nobody at reception the whole weekend until I left on Monday morning. Poor and intermittent wifi. No shower, bath was small and uncomfortable.

Our stay was lovely even though we spent a large amount of time with friends. The rooms are spacious and have everything needed. The exterior needs a fresh coat of paint to mirror the interior.
The explanation is not accurate. Each room does not have a Jacuzzi bath. I booked a standard room but I didn't get it. We got a room upstairs, outside. Bitterly uncomfortable stairs. The shower doesn't work at all. The water pressure is not working. The shower is either ice cold or on fire. The pillows are rock hard, definitely not 4 star worthy. The outside light at the front door cannot be turned off inside the house, and makes the room completely light inside. I asked the owner to contact me, but it hasn't happened yet. I am very disappointed in St Andrews. If it wasn't for Alyssa's very good and friendly service, I would have definitely asked for my money back on Friday.
No towels in the room, electrical plugs not working, and no water pressure, not to mention no hot water, needs urgent attention for maintenance.
Aircon only unfortunately did not work properly, otherwise everything was 100% to our liking.

Was my first time staying at a guesthouse and I was very pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stay there again. We had such an amazing stay and were treated like royalty. The staff, the building and the room gave us the best experience of Klerksdorp, the city itself is amazing and so is St Andrews.

We enjoyed our stay even though it was for a night. The receptionist was very friendly and informed us about everything there. . We were just disappointed with the shower, they don't have handles so it could be a bit dangerous because the water goes through everywhere.

There was no hot water when we wanted to bathe. There is no partition between the room and the bathroom. There was also no generator. They did not provide a variation between coffee and tea, only tea.
Pillows are yellow from old sweat stains, dirty as hell, extremely poor quality pillows, "slept out" and full of lumps, sheets have holes in them and are washed so transparently thin that you can watch TV through them. From a safety point of view - motorized access gate does not work and has to be pushed open by hand, therefore no vehicles safe. Fire extinguisher's warranty has already expired in 2020. Gas bottles at room are not in a "cage" and the one that is has a rusty old open lock on it. The wall plugs in room are inaccessible, fridge, TV, one bedside light, microwave and kettle from one power point. WiFi code not working. Shower sprays over the bed, not even a shelf for toiletries in the shower. Poor lighting, pitch black in one of the booked rooms, number 4.

The guest house looks much better on the internet, it is neglected, and needs a lot of work. The pool was dirty and we were extremely disappointed. We had to take turns leaving the room if we had to use the bathroom. No privacy, I would definitely not stay there again. I can't believe it's a 4 star place. The only good thing I can say is the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Our sheets were dirty, and our toilet paper was finished. The room was very, very small and cramped.
The accommodation is not at all a good option for families with children. Unsafe stairs up to room. Only one set of towels in room. Beds were clean, but room was not. Only one weak light in bathroom and aircon that is terribly noisy. Not up to standard at all.

St Andrews Guesthouse can be recommended. The family room is reasonably priced with breakfast included. If I can make one suggestion, it will be to revamp the rooms a little. The small things like the curtains that need hooks, the shower's drain that is broken and rusty. All of these things make the room look tired.

I was a bit disappointed. St Andrews looks much better on the internet, neater, newer. The area around the pool needs to be neatened up, all unused equipment taken away and seating to be placed neater with umbrellas. I was disappointed breakfast wasn't included as well. In the room: take away the packet of chips (not professional) rather place a welcome chocolate on each pillow. The parking area looks very unkempt and the rusted generator very unsightly. The service at the front desk was friendly and helpful and we are grateful for that.

We were the only guests. Our room (no. 1) smells incredibly musty. The carpet may have been damaged by water. It should receive attention. Small annoyances: The remote control for the TV's volume button sets the channels. The hot tap is the cold water, and the cold tap is the hot water.
Excellent guest house, better than a hotel!
The location with the proximity of the amenities suited me very well. The friendly town culture was also peaceful with various dining facilities. I had to receive urgent physiotherapy and until then there was no problem. Flamwood is very licky.
The rooms are very nice. There is ample parking, although access is not controlled.
The stuff is broken and wall plugs are overloaded. Year-end function roared late into the night.
Hot water was a problem. There is not enough hot water for 2nd bath. Seems to me 3 rooms share a geyser.
Reception very poor, wanted me to pay another R4900 for one night's overnight stay. The man was also unable to receive us. Breakfast was late and children could not eat before the tournament.
Our upstairs door could lock, but since it's a sliding door, it can still open almost a whole meter on the left side, so anyone can climb through at night and the closet we hung our clothes in was terrible full of dust. We couldn't use the spare pillow because of the dust and we only had to shake out our bag when we had to pack again to leave. There was also no light bulb in the one bedside lamp and it was only fixed for 2 people and there were three of us.
No hot water. Our shower head jumped off and was completely broken. We checked out. The receptionist demanded another R600 when we canceled the further 1 night. I refused to pay it. Oh yeah, the fridge wasn't even on and our sliding door key broke.
Reception was good. Several basic services in the room were missing. There was no toilet paper. After asking at reception, I did receive it. The WiFi password is not as indicated. I inquired at reception and there was still no cover. The water in the shower was cold. Security is lacking at the parking lot. The single barrier at night still provides access for pedestrians. Directly in front of the room door were noisy guests littering the entire world with takeaway containers. The staff member who saw the mess the next morning made no attempt to clean it up.
Regarding our stay: we stayed in rooms 4 and 5. In room 5 we could not fill the kettle due to the fact that the kettle does not fit under the tap in the basin. It was a little difficult to fill the kettle under the shower. My daughter luckily phoned on Saturday morning, the lady at reception was not aware that we requested a cot. The basin in room 5 was loose. The taps require maintenance, they are difficult to open and close and it is difficult to control the flow of water. The door in room 5 does not close properly. The window latch handle is broken. The swimming pool pump is very noisy and operated the whole night. We could not sleep, especially not in room 4. Best regards.
Room decor was very average and a bit outdated. Curtains and bedspreads were not clean, there were also chipped tiles and a toilet which runs frequently.
