St Lucia Wilds Flatlet
-
The Flatlet offers affordable, self-catering holiday accommodation. It is one building converted into 3 spaces. Each with it's own entrance and no sharing rooms and facilities. The century old house is situated on the owner's property, elevated and still with some original fittings and fixtures. Lots of windows allows nature to be all around. Insect netting at all opening windows and the door keeps the insects out and fresh air around. There are 6 steps to the only door.
The flatlet can accommodate a family of 4 or up to 2 adults and 2 children at most. The flatlet is not suitable for 4 adults or 2 couples. It contains 1 large bedroom, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan kitchenette -dining- living area. The bedroom contains a standard double bed, single child stack beds, a large closet, a ceiling fan, and a safe.
The lounge area, right outside the bedroom, has a couch, that becomes 2 single beds. There is a 4-seater round dining table, chairs, and a ceiling fan. The kitchenette is well-equipped for self-catering with a stove and oven, a microwave, a toaster, and a kettle, all crockery and cutlery, and cooking utensils. The bathroom, which leads off the kitchen, contains a curtained shower, a toilet, and a basin.
The lounge and dining area has a partially scattered view of the lake and reeds and is next to the swimming pool. The communal path to the garden and pool is on the kitchen side. On-site facilities include a braai area a few meters away in the bush, an undercover parking bay, and free Wi-Fi. No television.
Nearby activities include bird watching, hiking, and cycling. The Gallery - St Lucia is a restaurant on site and guests can take part in painting projects or sit down for a light meal, beverage and sweet treat.

7 guests' feedbackGreat, thank you. All was good.
It was pretty neat and clean and exactly what we needed. We had a very nice stay here.
We were received very kindly and the apartment is clean and tidy. The apartment needs urgent cosmetic attention regarding furniture.
Very good service, safe and friendly.
Well equipped and nice and light. Only problem was that the bedroom does not have a window to the outside.
We had a fantastic time. Will definitely go back again.
Apartment very very old, carpets incredibly worn and "outdated". Very definitely can't charge R300 per person before the place is renovated. Was tidy with very outdated bedding, but well equipped kitchen. Toilet was dirty stained, as was the shower floor. Bathroom runs directly off the kitchen. Toilet is right next to kitchen, you can have a nice chat and face contact with one on the toilet and one cooking. Really very unhygienic. Lounge very poor. One terrible small TV and only 2 chairs that have seen their days. Curtains in living room and kitchen were dirty and smelled of dust. The accommodation has NO RUNNING water during the day. The owner turns on water for early morning and evening. These inconveniences should be made known to prospective users. She would provide "bottled" water but there was none. We had to buy it. The place is definitely not worth R300 per person per night. We stopped at several places and found out about the water, all had running water and showed costs less per person or the same price. We realize that there is water scarcity, but grace pays for comfort. If I wanted to "rough it up" I went home in backpackers. Was bad not even being able to wash your hands during the day and that dirty toilet in the kitchen is BAD. It is places like this that might damage LekkeSlaap's name. I will send photos for confirmation if you would like.
