We were particularly impressed with the glorious pool area, so cleverly designed to avoid the wind. We also enjoyed visiting Stanford village with its variety of cafés and charming mid-century architecture.
We had an absolutely incredible stay at this lodge! From the moment we arrived, we were treated to exceptional service by the friendly and professional staff, who warmly welcomed us and showed us to our room. The room itself was stunning - immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and utterly charming. And the breakfast? Truly unforgettable - the best we've had in a long time! Every aspect of our stay was truly delightful. We can't wait to come back and experience it all again!
The Stanford Valley Country Lodge is a delightful experience. The units are decorated with care and well equipped. The environment is breathtaking.
We really liked Stanford Guest Farm and the service was excellent. The restaurant is top class and the views great! The rooms are large and comfortable. Swimming in the dam was exhilarating. I did find it a bit pricey in comparison to the other comparative places we stayed in on this holiday but we shall certainly return one day!
Very good restaurant, but the accommodation is not worth the money at all. Also not much to do except go for a walk.

Beautiful, rural setting, friendly hostess, 5-star restaurant, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and still close enough to several nice places and things to do, as well as the sea at De Kelders. Definitely worth it for a long weekend getaway.

What a wonderful getawya from the city! Picturesque and the friendliness was awesome. The fireplace in the room is a highlight for the cold nights. Will definitely book again.
The booking and accommodation was exactly what we were looking for. From our arrival up until our departure we were treated like royalty. The restaurant on the farm is a great bonus and the service was excellent.
We were at Beloftebos for a wedding. Our stay at Stanford Valley was very nice. Everything was pretty fresh and clean and it's 10 minutes from the wedding venue. Elzabe welcomed us warmly. We were able to move into our room earlier than planned. Stanford is a very nice getaway and very nice town.

Quiet environment. Neat rooms. Fast and friendly service. A little warm. No air conditioning. Refrigerators in rooms will go a long way in keeping drinks cool.
The only thing I can complain about is the low water pressure in the house when they water the garden in the middel of the day. Other than that our stay was excellent. Nice and quiet with beautiful views. Lovely, large lawn for the kids to run around and play on. One just has to take extra care with kids who don't know how to swim since there are 3 open dams within walking distance of the house which could be dangerous. I would stay here again anytime. Peace surrounds you and this makes for a relaxing holiday.
On arrival the reception is not clearly marked. We had a self-catering unit which was not well equipped. Whilst the bedding was clean - there was no mattress cover. On the plus side, we found it to be quiet and relaxing and the owners very welcoming and friendly.
Beautiful accommodation, excellent hospitality and breathtaking surroundings/natural beauty. Upon reception we already felt at home and welcome. Our needs in terms of privacy and accommodation were exceeded and the owner went out of her way to accommodate us in a larger unit. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, with lots to explore and experience. When the restaurant opens it will be first class! We will definitely go again.

Elsabe is a very good hostess, and she made us feel comfortable and welcome from the start. The art exhibition was good, and the music by "bottomless coffee" was excellent! Apparently we were the first guests to be offered breakfast, and it was delicious! Rooms are very neat and the environment is fantastic. The farm is also very well equipped in a very short time.
If any guests had a large outdoor stay far from the inhabited world, they had no pleasant idea that we as guests stayed here alone without management or guarding. Even though the entrance gate was closed by means of one pole on all sides, access to the site could be provided around this.
I was in one of the self-catering units which are very well furnished, and then you have the beautiful gardens, and farm to walk around, and the incredibly beautiful mountains that surround you.
We stayed in Protea 1, and right during our reception on the farm we were made to feel welcome. Extra effort was made for us, like Leanne who brought a crate of wood on Friday evening, when she saw that we wanted to have a barbecue. It's little things like that that make a big difference. The tranquility of the farm life was a big plus, and the fact that there was no TV added to the positive experience - with such a getaway weekend you just want to get away from all the noise to hear the voice of nature again and hear your own soul...
We had no water available from arrival in the afternoon until the next morning, due to a burglary.
Thank you for a fantastic stay. We only stayed one night, but next time I would like to stay longer. It's close enough to Hermanus to drive through daily. The units are lovely, clean and very idyllic with the mountain as a backdrop.
