7 guests' feedbackThis place is a hidden gem! David is an incredible host, and the inclusive breakfast every morning was definitely the highlight of our stay - made with so much passion and love. The "Koningskamers" has everything you need for a short stay with a beautiful view over the pool and property.
Accommodation was very neat, clean and has everything you need. It is in a beautiful natural environment that contributes to a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. The host was very friendly and service was excellent. The breakfast was very exquisite and fragrant and out of the books! It was a great treat to get a fresh warm baked bread!
Breakfast was fabulous, with homemade bread and delicious jams. The pool was a little green due to load shedding. Better lighting is needed for load shedding times. A very peaceful place, nice to have roosters wake you in the morning. The staff are friendly; loved the company.
The guest house is on a short farm road with a gate near the house that you have to open and close yourself. It felt unsafe when I came from the restaurant late at night to get out in the dark. David was friendly but did not speak Afrikaans. The very neat, but sparsely furnished room opens out onto a veranda with the swimming pool in front of it. The pool was full of leaves and David then first sent someone to come and rake it out. The same person came early the next morning to water the grass - it didn't feel private. There were no 'spoils' such as a chocolate bar, fruit or biscuits, etc. no, yes tea and a Nespresso machine, but not a kettle to make tea with (not milk for the tea); no hair dryer, chair to sit on, heater (cement floor) or TV, and only one blanket. I missed the much-discussed breakfast because David didn't read the e-mail that I wanted to eat early (8:30) - I was screamingly hungry because I'd been awake for 5:30, and when he came (I called him at about 8:40) he only had muesli and sent a small amount of fruit, without coffee, with the excuse that he has animals (points to the dogs) and guests (just me) so doesn't have time to read epics. I was also scared of the bunch of dogs. The wifi was very weak (and so insecure that my virus program wouldn't connect me online) and I couldn't answer important e-mails. It felt doubly expensive (I travel a lot so I know what I usually get). I don't know what I had to pay so much for?
We had a very friendly and warm welcome by David. The rooms are spacious, very clean, neat and have a lot of attention to detail. A relaxing afternoon in the garden. Had the most amazing breakfast experience. Anything fresher than David served us, is either still growing, baking or in the making. Thanks David for a wonderful stay. High recommended!
We enjoyed a lovely peaceful Sunday afternoon and evening there, the room is large and comfortable with a "porch" with table and chairs and everything you need for an overnight stay. Our host, David, was very friendly and helpful and spared no effort. The breakfast was also very special.
Received very friendly service. Enjoy a delicious breakfast. The bathroom is very comfortable and modern we had the family unit was comfortable little space around the main bed, but it was value for money and nice clean and tidy.
