Thank you very much for a very pleasant stay. Slept nice and warm. Felt very safe. Will definitely use their services again. Stargazing is definitely a must. Very interesting.
It was a lovely experience. Equipped with everything one needs. Plenty of warm bedding available. Everything is very clean and tidy.
Comfortable home in Sutherland. Indoor braai and fireplace and warm blankets were welcome for the cold.
We had a great time, thank you very much Jurg. Everything needed was there. Nice warm blankets for the snowy cold, heaters on the walls, extra fleecy blankets for each bed. Nice towels, clean linen and an old farmhouse feel. Enough plugs for mobile phone chargers and a plug near the mirror for hairdryers when needed. The double room with en-suite bathroom is spacious, with the adjoining room having 2 three-quarter beds in it, was perfect for our family with 2 daughters. The other rooms are just as beautiful, a nice cozy room and a cozy kitchen. We experienced the snow and that was of course a bonus. Sorry we couldn't watch the stars with you Jurg, I hear it's an absolute must. We will next time when we are there. I would really recommend Sterland La Pari Pari.
Very central located. It was very cold, but, we hat enough blankets and heaters available. You can easily walk to where ever you want to be, you don't need a car.
It had all the basics we needed.
We had a very nice stay. Unfortunately, the entire town's power was out, but Jurg provided us with 2 lamps and moved us to the main house with an indoor barbecue and fireplace. It made up for the inconvenience.
Stay was great! Unfortunately wifi wasn't working. We really enjoyed the accommodation.
The house is not well maintained. The bathroom light is broken and there is water dripping through the ceiling. The kitchen was not clean.
We had a fireplace that we could use, the water was hot, the bed had a warm blanket and wall heater. Unfortunately the WiFi was not available, even after we asked for the code it was the wrong code. The TV didn't work at all, no signal. There was a lamp that was nowhere near a wall plug. The boiler in the room is also nowhere near a wall plug. Beggars come knocking at the door. We filtered for free Wi-Fi and secure parking. The parking is behind a gate only.
We had a wonderful family and family weekend. Hanging out around fires in and around the house. Very nicely maintained garden.

Just a suggestion, dry fire wood on site would be very welcome as Sutherland is very cold in winter. You can't do without a fireplace.

We had a wonderful sleep over in the big house. It is a bonus that the owner is also the presenter of the Sterland stargazing. The stargazing and overnight stay was a good experience and is recommended for someone who likes the countryside.

Jurg's service was outstanding from the moment we contacted him. The place has that type of old world charm. I would have liked to stay longer, but our travel plans did not allow it. Watching the stars together Jurg was very interesting and we really enjoyed it. The stars are particularly beautiful in Sutherland and words cannot really describe it.
We had enough space. Very comfortable stay. Jurg's stargazing is an experience, definitely a must! Just dress warmly in winter!
Sterland La Pari Pari is an old house with charm, equipped with beautiful furniture collectibles. Like staying in a museum. Fireplace works very well. So is the shower. Thank you very much, Jurg.
Lovely character self-catering house, very quaint but was extremely cold for our American friends. Missed seeing the stars - it was very cloudy, brewing up for the rain and snow that followed at day later, which we also missed. Enjoyed the inside showing of the galaxy done at Sterland. Negative feedback - please ask guests in winter when they book if they want firewood and supply or collect on booking. Hunting for firewood in minus 6 degrees and then buying damp firewood which took ages to burn was not the best experience.
A beautiful old house that has been tastefully furnished. The fireplace was a winner for the cold winter evening. Definitely a stopover to keep in mind.
Beautiful, clean house, centrally located and perfect base to explore all that Sutherland has to offer. We can highly recommend listening to Jurg at Sterland and viewing some amazing stars, visiting the planetarium in town, visiting the SAAO and SALT and having dinner at Cluster d’Hote where we had the best lamb shank ever.

I would highly recommend the house to any prospective visitors. It is within walking distance of everything and is also set aside enough that you are not in the middle of it all. It is clean and tidy and well equipped with everything you would need. The fireplace works wonderfully and the bedding is white and warm enough. La Pari Pari is a beautiful old house with all the essentials needed for a few days away (all I couldn't find was a 2 prong wall plug for my phone but could have just missed it). We were only 2 people, if you are more just take into account there is one bathroom, but as mentioned it is an old house. This area is quiet and peaceful and takes you back in time just a little bit. We will definitely go again.
Baie aantreklik, skoon en gerieflik. Goed geleë, in middedorp. Wonderlike vuurmaakplek om by te kuier - vrieskoud gewees buite! Verwarmers in al die kamers ook baie welkom. In een woord - 'stunning'.
Everything was clean, tidy and tasteful.
We spent only one night in La Pari Pari while doing our "winter ride" with BMW. The unit was very neat and clean. We didn't spend much time there, but when we arrived the heaters were already on and the place was "cozy and inviting". Our breakfast was at the Whitehouse as part of the package. We will definitely book La Pari Pari again for next year's "Winter ride". Thank you very much Jurg for the hospitality!
Neat accommodation. Would love to make a fireplace after stargazing. Wood would be a bright thought (especially for the price per head). Provide outside door keys to rooms and prevent one from walking through another guy's room. Coffee/tea/sugar welcome in the rooms. Milk would have been welcome. Electric blankets were lovely. Thank you for the wall panels that were on on arrival. Will visit again in the summer when the alder is in bloom and greener.
