The hosts at this resort were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed a hike each morning and loved the convenient location close to major attractions.
My wife and I needed a trip to be together. From the time we arrived until we left we felt at home. The owners were so welcoming and very accommodating. My wife was a bit scared of their dogs but she learned that they were the friendliest dogs ever, she couldn't stop playing with them. We booked the Hoep Hoep apartment. Such a perfect place for a couple to snuggle and rejuvenate, very private, clean, was just perfect. We enjoyed our Bible study outside the unit, and at night we had a braai and romantic dinner by the fire. This place comes highly recommended for all types of getaways, from couples to family and friends to get away from the city. The farm has everything you need. Best was we never experienced loadshedding during the day for four days and three nights. Good value for the money! Perfect place! Pools and games spot-on. My wife and I got to be on a boat for the first time, perfect sport for learning to depend on each other, we had lots of fun. We are looking to take back our family one day. We will say book in this place and you won't cry, only tears of joy and peace of gratitude that you did this favour to yourselves and took the time out to be with family and friends. Perfect place for no outside world and to reconnect with your spouse! Thank you Andrea and wife, they took good care of us, till next time.
This has been an amazing weekend and I wish I booked more nights. It is peaceful and quiet. We could take our doggies with us and really loved being together as a family. The friendly service of our hosts was also amazing. We will certainly be back.
The most restful weekend my husband and I experienced. Sitting on the stoep in the forest, watching the monkeys and squirrels and listening to the birds was just what we needed. Andre and Elsabe were amazing hosts and the whole facility is awesome. The accommodation is more than what you need. Totally recommended.

We were warmly received. Lovely people. Place was neat and clean and everything needed was there. We really enjoyed the pond and pool. Squirrels amused us a lot. Thanks for the free crate of wood, much appreciated. We enjoyed the animals and dogs too. We were also told more about the place and shown around. We really enjoyed the weekend!
Great relaxed weekend.
Was received very kindly. People were very helpful in replacing a flat tire that we got on the way there. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the unit. One is surrounded by goats and horses and animal dung. There are an incredible amount of flies and ants in the unit due to the animal manure lying right around the unit. There is a lot of noise with the animals all the time, especially if you take your dogs with you, who then bark all the time at the constant animal activities around you. The cutlery in the unit could receive attention. No skip bins available. No fans. Also no umbrella / shade if you want to sit outside. There were guests in one of the units who made incredible noise, and once again disturbed the peace and quiet that one was looking for.
Stone Meadows Country Estate owner treated us kindly and made us feel at home. We were able to walk the route he indicated and explained history of the area which was very interesting information. We took nice pictures. There is a variety of birds on the farm.

Very quiet and clean.
We really enjoyed getting away from the city. The Heron Hide was a beautiful place. We did find that the price of R990 was a bit high for what was offered. There are no hiking trails or entertainment other than fishing. The pool is beautiful, but unfortunately very cold this time of year. My husband is still wearing blue heels like the marblelite gives off. We had a lot of trouble with the shower which one moment squirts out scalding hot water and then switches to ice cold.
The Loerie has all the basic facilities. You can have a nice barbecue under the stars and enjoy the silence. Unfortunately the unit is not fenced all around which was a bit difficult with our canine friends. The guest's dogs surprised us a few times in our barbecue area with our dogs on a leash. It's unfair if everyone doesn't follow the leash rules between units. We also understood that there are hiking trails and were told on inquiry that the trails are overgrown. Reception did not exactly explain where is what etc. not. However, we found our own routes and enjoyed walking with our dogs. You definitely get away from the hustle and bustle and can relax. Make sure the unit you book is fenced if you bring your dogs.
Hosts were accommodating and friendly. Very clean place.
