5 guests' feedbackThe place can do with a bit of upgrade in terms of the locks, rooms are not noise proof, we had bad neighbour's who made noise the entire night if only the staff can manage that better.
Guests made a lot of noise during our stay. It was a bit disturbing.
Very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and well located. Beautiful grounds.
We stayed near the main entrance of the lodge and other guests who spent the night in the dining hall were very noisy and annoying. All night in and out of their rooms and used the public bathrooms. Doors slammed etc. So did not experience a good night's rest.
Because it is placed against the Vaal River and natural surroundings, you feel away from the city's noise and bustle and can really relax. However, it needs more benches or seating for relaxation along the river. However, there are no porters and we had to carry luggage ourselves which was not ideal for my spouse with a lung problem, especially in the heat of the day. Staff were friendly and very helpful. However, Internet is a big problem locally and own facilities and amplifiers are definitely needed.
