We had a long weekend getaway with our adult children and friends. The house was ideal as everyone could have their own room. The house is neat and ideally located with a beautiful view of the sea. The great joy was being able to sleep with the doors open at night and hear the waves.
It is a lovely holiday home, very well equipped and great location. We and family had a great time and will definitely visit Pearly Beach again and stay at Storkereden. The house is nice and spacious. Owner is very friendly and was very helpful.
Our crew of 10 people had an awesome weekend breakaway. The house is spacious with 5 rooms and 3 bathrooms. There is nothing I could not find in the well-equipped kitchen. An absolute gem and only 100m away from the beach with the most amazing view and sunsets.
Would highly recommend this home. Anna-Marie the property manager is fantastic. She went the extra mile to assist and make us feel welcome. Big thanks also to the caring and friendly owner. Definitely our favourite stay.
We really enjoyed our stay and particularly enjoyed the provided board games and hot tub. A great location for a family holiday, with a quick and easy walk down to the beach.
We had a wonderful time with our children and granddaughter in this residence. Really enjoyed it, waves are the last thing you hear before you fall asleep. Storkereden was neat, clean and comfortable with the most beautiful view of the beach, waves and open sea. We saw whales from the dining room table during breakfast. Due to the recent floods, the Wi-Fi was not working which meant that the TV could also not be used.
We had a lovely weekend even though the weather didn't play along. The house is spacious and the fireplace worked well.
The family holiday home is conveniently located right in front of Pearly Beach with unobstructed views of the beach. The house has everything you need for a nice beach holiday and is ideal for large groups.
Lovely older family home, equipped with all you might need. Comfortable beds. Great for a larger group or 2-3 families (as there are five bedrooms). The older children thoroughly enjoyed the wine cellar/games room hideaway in the basement. Great sized garden for the kids to play in too. The most spectacular thing about the house is the excellent location right on the beach and spectacular views from all the rooms. We are already looking at booking it for next year again for our group.
I would definitely recommend Storkereden to anyone who needs a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The location of the house is perfect for lazy summer evenings on the balcony. The telescope for whale watching was an added bonus that everyone really enjoyed! Not even Eskom could put a damper on the weekend. Communication with the owner and person who had to unlock was very good, we will definitely book again.
The kitchen has enough cutlery and all other necessities, except that the coffee maker was broken. One room has no mirror in it and the wooden chairs at the dining room table need attention or replacement soon. Some chairs creaked terribly and straps broke. When we received the information that we had to take our own DStv equipment with us, we had already been away from home for 2 weeks and therefore did not know in time that we had to take our own DStv decoder and card with us. The above is for information to help owner and future visitors but Pearly Beach is a beautiful peaceful area with breathtaking sunsets, walking distance from the beach and we will definitely stay in Storkereden again if the opportunity arises.
Lovely view from all rooms. The internal stairs are quite stylish and require careful walking down. The dining room chairs need some attention. They are nice, reasonable antique chairs but the joints are starting to come loose.
Care needs to be taken regarding the presentation of the property. Regarding the cleanliness of crockery and cutlery.
