The apartment comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. The first bedroom contains a double bed and an en-suite bathroom, and the second and third bedrooms contain twin beds and have access to the second bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, an oven and stove, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a kettle, and the living area contains a dining room table and chairs, seating, and a TV. Guests need to bring with them their own towels, standard DSTV decoder or Open-view decoder with their connection cables to have any channels available. The unit is also equipped with portable air-conditioning.
The living area leads out onto a large patio with a lovely sea view. There is also a built-in gas braai on the patio. Guests can access Uvongo’s main swimming beach and the Pavilion restaurant through the complex garden.
Nearby activities include bird watching, cycling and swimming. There are several activities in the area, such as lunch at Mac Banana, paint ball, Deli & Bakery, Mac Fish, speciality shops, bird-viewing deck, jungle gym, play areas for children, Butterfly Dome and pony rides. On the same way to Port Edward you will find Wild Coast Sun Casino. Lake Eland is also the place to be for sight seeing, the nature is incredible.

25 guests' feedbackWonderful weekend. Property is beautiful. We felt safe and secure. Close to the beach and to town. No gas for the gas braai, but a standard braai was supplied instead. The beach is beautiful and neat.
The place is really an experience. People's service is excellent. Came into the flat, everything was nice and clean. But the best of all is to stand on the balcony and see the sea. Down by the sea there is a restaurant, shop for ice cream and a shop for food. Both were very nice. In the other side there are kickboats and a small hiking trail where you can see the waterfall. There is a fir and a pharmacy is walking distance so everything is really convenient. I really can't wait to come again.

Would recommend having shade net or canopies for vehicle.
If people want to rest, the place is definitely the right place.
Security gate to porch broken. Louver does not work at corridor window. Front door stuck on ground.
And was a great pleasure to us.
The only problem we had is that the check list was not updated or checked by agents, as housekeeping said that 2 chairs were broken on departure but were already broken on arrival. There was also only 5 chairs and not 6. The front security door was broken and the bedding was very worn.
'n fantastiese uitsig. Was lekker. Paar foutjies- oond werk nie, aircon werk nie, die plastiekstoele op patio was nie in 'n goeie kondisie nie. Daar's geen afdrooglappe of opwaslappe nie. Klein goedjies, maar darm nie onplesierig nie. Ons sal definitief die plek weer boek. Die uitsig maak op vir al die foutjies.
The family enjoyed the stay and the beach is a walking distance. Perfect place for the family.
More blankets could be made available especially on chilly nights, but the lady I kept calling on the phone (sorry forgot the name) for assistance with anything was kind and nice all the time, no matter what time of day it was. Thank you.
It was very nice and very close to the beach.
On arrival at Strandloper, the security gate leading out to the balcony was breaking, hinges bent, etc. which makes it almost impossible to get the gate open. The advertisement does not mention that one must take a smart card with them for the television, so the TV was also out of order. Not all visitors have DStv at home and therefore cannot even watch SABC 1,2, 3 or Etv. The battery of the digital safe was flat, so another item that was out of order and as a legal firearms license holder this is worrying because one's firearm cannot be kept safe. The portable air conditioner's remote control didn't even have batteries in it. There is a teal in the knife from the wall. No pictures on the walls, it feels very impersonal. It should also be mentioned that there is no covered parking for one's vehicle.
We had a very nice stay, could walk to the beach every day and the sea views are fantastic, especially at sunrise. Would just recommend that air conditioning in the living area be repaired as the mobile air conditioner does not really cool the area. Also bring your own bathroom mats as they are not provided. Will definitely book there again.
2 rooms were well ventilated and cooled with the roof fan, the main bedroom's fan made noise so we could not use it. The living room has no fan and does get very hot, the AC does not work and the mobile AC is no good to use as well. The rental agency was not very informative about the closure of the Uvongo Beach due to the sewage leak into it, nor gave us the small gates code to be able to walk down to the beach. 3 plates of the stove do not work, the TV does not work, so not worth taking your DSTV decoder with to entertain the kids on a rainy day, no undercover parking for your car, no security to watch over your car, so sleeping uncomfortably in the main bedroom because it gets very hot, one still has to worry about your car's safety. Overall, the view is great, but that is about the only positive I can say about the place, I will not recommend it nor book again.

We had a wonderful stay. Not very clean and the apartment could do with some attention (upholstering and repairs) and a decent cleaning.
Only had a few problems: Didn't have the code for the gate that led to the beach. Notified the agent but they never got back to me. Fortunately, the neighbor gave it to me. Not all the utensils that were on the list were there. If there was covered/canopy parking, more people would book there. The place was cleaned above, it needs a thorough scrubbing. Only a normal DStv works there, not the Explora. The small safe in the bedroom does not work. The gas braai did not have gas in it and we could not disconnect the gas bottle to fill it up. But beyond that, the view made it worth it. Will stay there again if the above issues can be sorted out.
please wash dishes before next people book in and sort out the alarm as we were up all night for 3 days cause the alarm was going off every 10 min. I was dissapointed for paying so much out of season for accomodation for what we got and lastlythere is no secure parking.
It is a nice place with a pretty view on the beach. The security needs a little upgrading.
This flat is very comfortable for 6 persons and you have an excellent sea view and can also walk down to Uvongo beach. I can only recommend this flat out of season due to high rates during December which makes it not worth it. I will book this flat again out of season. It has an excellent location with a sea view.
Strandloper 3 is a very nice flat, but there are a few flaws. We picked up the keys from Wolf Security and went to the flat. We opened the envelope for a code to disarm the alarm and the code did not work. We stood there at 22:00 with the alarm blasting, waking up all the people around. We tried a few different codes and finally it worked. Then ADT arrived and we felt like we were the criminals. The Wednesday and Thursday was extremely cold. There is no heater and only a mobile air con in the unit, which does not work well. There are no extra blankets, my family was freezing. We had to put on extra clothes just to keep warm. Only two people can shower before the water is cold. The gas braai was dirty and just covered with plastic. Overall, if it wasn't for the beach which my kids and wife loved, I would have jumped in my car and drove back to Pretoria. We as a family love the South Coast but will think twice to use you guys again.
The agents were very flexible and helpful with access to the unit. Highly recommended.

House rules
- Please note that the R600 admin fee is included in the quote.- The refundable breakage deposit fee is payable 2 weeks before arrival and is not included in the rate.
- The reservation agreement that will be sent to the client after the deposit was paid must be filled in and sent back before arrival. No keys will be released without the necessary documentation returned to the host.
- The breakage deposit will be refunded within 14 working days after departure, less any deductions for breakages.
- Should the property be damaged either wilfully or not, by negligence or not, by yourself or any other, you agree to pay for the said damages if it exceeds the amount held via the breakage deposit.
- Should you arrive at the property and find that there are damages, the onus is upon you to inform the host immediately.
- The breakage deposit will be held in trust and released to the bank account nominated by yourself.
- Please remember to email the host your account details.
- Please ensure that the outstanding balance reflects in the host's bank account 7 days prior to arrival.
- Please do not exceed the maximum number of people allowed in the unit. Failure to comply with this request will result in eviction with no refund and no notice period.
- No smoking is allowed inside any of the units, flats or houses. Should you smoke in the house you will lose your breakage deposit in full.
- If a cleaning service is needed it can be arranged prior to arrival, at an additional cost.
- Cleaning services are not available on Sundays and public holidays.
- The owner cannot be held liable for any losses or inconvenience to tenants caused by an act beyond the owner's control. In the event of any appliance being out of order the owner cannot be held liable for the replacement thereof.

- Towels for swimming and bathing.
- DStv decoder with the remote and card.
