Both units have the most beautiful sea view. The beds are comfortable and the living space sufficient for a family of five. The units have everything that may be needed. Each unit offers sufficient privacy and there was no disturbance from other guests. The owner is friendly, helpful and accommodating. Two nights at Strandloper is really too short! We really enjoyed our time at Strandloper! Convenient and provided so many can just pack clothes and go. All kitchen utensils are provided. As women, we especially appreciated the little things in the kitchen that we didn't have to bring from home.
The flat was a nice, clean flat and well kitted out. The lady accommodating us was friendly and helpful. The double bed was small, so my wife had to sleep on the couch. We were disappointed that the picture in the advert was actually of the accommodation across the road, taken from the balcony, so we went there first only to find we were at the wrong place.
Nice at the seaside. Quiet, beautiful and you just walk across the road and you are on the beach.
The view was fantastic! The weather was cold and wet, but we slept nice and warm and enjoyed the indoor barbecue. We had everything we would need. There were even extra towels which were very handy in the wet weather. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.
Out of all the places we've stayed, Strandloper was probably one of the biggest highlights. The unit is practically furnished and has everything you need, from a lovely indoor braai to comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms as well as a spacious living area. The people are friendly and you will find Alida's hospitality far and wide. Two nights' stay was too little and we will have to make a plan to recharge with rest for our souls. If the owner wants to keep the following in mind for the future, a dryer for laundry will be an asset, especially for guests who stay longer and maybe clear bars at the windows to be able to sleep with nice open windows. The television remote has some buttons that are a bit odd but we managed. We didn't miss anything and are sad that the time passed so quickly. Thank you Trudie for hosting us.
I had a lovely time at Strandloper. The hostess is extremely helpful, and attention has been paid to small details to make sure the stay is pleasant and goes without problems. The apartment is beautiful and clean and has the most beautiful view of the sea and the river. I fell in love with Stilbaai as a holiday destination. I can't wait to visit Strandloper and Stilbaai again.
Everything you need was available. Hostess explained everything and made sure we knew how and where to get key. Very neat and clean. Lovely to sit on the veranda and look at the sea. Would definitely recommend them.

Strandloper is located at the estuary and on the beach and swimming areas. The location is at ground level and the best one can probably get, close to the shops etc. The accommodation is large, two bedrooms with two bathrooms, lovely indoor braai with everything. The apartment is well equipped with everything in the kitchen. The sliding doors open and then you are almost sitting outside. This place is ideal for cold winters and hot summers. Easy private parking. It's the ideal place for hikers, water sports and just relaxing.
The apartment is spacious and very well-appointed and equipped. The view from the lounge and balcony is amazing. Very quiet. Communication with the host was easy and access was arranged and simple.

Apartment has everything you could need and it is absolutely perfectly located. Unfortunately WiFi did not work, but fortunately it obliges you to spend less time on your mobile phone.
Great location. Neat place. Only downside of lower unit is that you often hear furniture scraping from the upper unit late into the night.
The balcony apartment is neat and well equipped. The braai place on the stoep is not so nice when the wind blows. We would have appreciated it if at least a bar of soap and extra toilet paper had been provided.
Beautiful location and everything one needs except a dishwasher. One very big problem, the double bed in the master bedroom is pathetic. We came back one night earlier because we couldn't take it anymore. Furthermore, the wall in the other bedroom's bathroom leaked when it rained. The owner will have to pay attention to it before he gets major damage.

I would like to bring to your attention. I wish there were more people in our civilization like Trudie! Man, she was helpful and friendly, nothing that was asked of Trudie was too much trouble or too much. She really went out of her way to make everything go so smoothly. Because I only enjoy very few vacations, I naturally have no idea about prices. That's just why I feel it was a bit expensive but definitely worth it. You will definitely see us again.

We were very thankful for the electric blankets and heater as it was quite cold in Still Bay during our 3 day stay.
We stayed at Strandloper 26-29 March 2021 (in the upper unit). The view of the beach/river is breathtakingly beautiful and Stilbaai is a beautiful, peaceful place. The unit has all the facilities you would need and is very comfortable. Trudie (owner) does not live on site, but was extremely helpful and available at all times from the time we made the reservation. Unfortunately, because of the wind, we couldn't have a barbecue, but that's just one of those things when you live by the sea!
Only one point of criticism was the people among us who smoked outside and then the smoke went directly into our place! It was disturbing, but probably inevitable!
Stilbaai is the ideal seaside holiday destination.
Great to go with small children. A stone's throw from the beach, play area and exercise equipment for those who want to keep fit. Trudie has been very helpful and friendly with booking and changes regarding the Covid situation. We hope to be able to stay there again in the future. Owner helpful.
We found the accommodation very tidy and excellently equipped with all necessities. The Strandloper is very well located and close to restaurants as well as shopping centres. Very safe and we could walk with peace of mind on the walking trail along the estuary.

Strandloper is my regular choice for accommodation on Stilbaai.
I was on Stilbaai just before the busy holiday season. This meant that there was no influx of people and traffic, which for me was ideal and very peaceful. The accommodation is particularly neat and tidy, and Trudie makes an exceptional effort to make all arrangements as easy as possible. A pleasant, relaxed visit.

We were welcomed by the most beautiful view of the ocean from the lounge and bedroom. It is within walking distance of the harbour and right on the beach front. The space was very clean and fairly modern with a very cosy indoor braai. Trudie was extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely be visiting again soon!
