The house leads to a grass lawn on the banks of the river and guests are welcome to use the available canoes during high tide in the safe water channels and the river. It boasts beautiful views of the sunset over the river and the ever-present birdlife is an experience every day. The outdoor braai is a popular gathering place for all guests.

Upstream is an old, neat and very spacious house that is very centrally located. Everything you need is in the house. Visiting/barbecuing section along the river is just amazing. We go away a lot for weekends etc., and Stroomop is definitely one of the nicest so far. We were very sad to pack up and come back home. We will definitely go there again.
Will definitely rent the house again, we had a great time. Everything you need is in the house. The view is breathtaking, nice braai area and it is pet friendly.
The changing of the tides is wonderful to watch from the veranda. There is also plenty of bird life.
A most enjoyable stay as always. Beautiful location. Stroom Op is starting to feel like a second home to us. One of my favourite places to be.
We loved the views as the tide changed and the easy access to the lagoon. Perfect location to braai in the evenings in the garden whilst watching the sunset with the kids and dog playing in the water. The use of 2 canoes was much appreciated and a great way to explore. It's an old family holiday home so don't expect modern luxury but it's perfect for a great value family holiday and it's safe for kids to play in the water.
A large house with a lot of space and character. Not modern but still everything we needed for a weekend away. Right on the river so our boys could fish and explore for hours. They allow pets so our dogs could come with which was great.
The house is well located by the river and the kayaks were a huge bonus!
Inside old and neglected and not very clean.
