The house comprises 2 bedrooms with a double bed in each, full bathroom and an open-plan kitchen, lounge area with a dining area and a sleeper couch for a 5th guest. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a fridge, an oven/ stove, a microwave and a washing machine. The open-plan living area comprises a dining room table and chairs a lounge area with a fireplace, a 42" HDTV with streaming services. Complimentary uncapped fibre WiFi is also available.
The living area leads out to an outdoor pool, patio and braai area with a pool, rustic outdoor braai, outdoor table and chairs & umbrella. This home is ideal for couples, small families, solo travellers, and business travellers. Guests have access to 1 secure off-street parking and 1 additional street parking outside.
The property is located within close proximity to shopping malls, restaurants, takeout places. Guests can visit the Constantia wine route, Kirstenbosch Gardens, Newlands Cricket stadium, Kenilworth Race Course, local Golf Courses, local beaches as well as the downtown city area and surrounds.
Please note that this is a residential area and that no parties, events, unpaid guests, loud music or disruptive behaviour will be tolerated. No pets are allowed. There is a pool, a rustic outdoor fireplace/braai and an outdoor dining area.
Please note that South Africa has intermittent nationwide load shedding (rolling blackouts) and that some services may be interrupted during these times which is out of the control of the establishment. Emergency rechargeable lights as well as a 2-plate gas stove are provided for use during load shedding. The Wi-Fi also has a backup power supply.
Please note that the pool is not fenced-in or covered and that you are responsible for the safety and well-being of your friends and family during your stay.

We stayed so nicely - the house is clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend Suburban Oasis to anybody who visits Cape Town. The house is very secure, and it feels like home. Thank you, Peter, for your patience and kind heart. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.
Beautiful house equipped with everything you need, lovely swimming pool with squirrels that come to drink water every now and then! Peaceful and quiet environment even though the shops are just around the corner!
Peter was a superb host. Excellent response time to any question and or query. My family and I enjoyed staying in his home. All amenities advertised were available and working. We had wifi even with load shedding. The location is very convenient, we were able to walk to the mall. Thank you Peter for a lovely stay.
We were relatively close to most places we wanted to be and visit. The house is very neat and well equipped. And the area is also secure, with vehicle behind a lockable gate.

A clean and spacious two-bedroom home with a large bathroom and outdoor braai area. We had everything we needed including a gas cooker, which assisted during load shedding. Coming from a smaller town, we found Claremont to be a bit frenzied, but the suburb lies close to Rondebosch and UCT and was very conveniently located for our purposes.
Our stay was fantastic, it was clean, hygienic, there was of everything that we needed, definitely going again.
Had an awesome stay, kids enjoyed the pool. Place to relax.
The establishment is a house that has been opened for holiday stays. As such it is well used with many fixtures and fittings outdated, used and requiring upgrading. Access to the property was awkward as the electric gate did not work which meant manual operating onto a busy road. This was difficult and unsafe especially at night. The constant load shedding meant that i had to connect and disconnect the alarm system, an added burden to me as a customer. While the WiFi worked there was no signal in the bedrooms. This was a hindrance especially during load shedding as there was no back up inverter or power source. The owner said that he would come by but did not during my stay. Parking was exposed as the owners large boat took up all the space under the carport.
Peter, you are the best host. We are definitely coming back, wishing you well with your business.

The kids enjoyed the swimming a lot. Very nice open space feels like staying in your own home. Shops are walking distance.

The house was perfect. The pool is ice cold and not very pleasant. Everything else was great.
We had a good stay! Peter was friendly and provided us with lots of information.
The hospitality of Peter makes you feel absolutely at home as well as the continuous check to see if everything is okay and if help is needed is special.
Upon our arrival Peter made sure that all the facilities were in impeccable condition, and also made sure that our stay was as pleasant as possible. It is definitely a beautiful little oasis in the middle of a concrete jungle.
We enjoyed our stay with my family. The place is awesome. Clean and safe and Peter is a great person.
Wonderful relaxing space
I was extremely pleased with the accommodation in all aspects. I couldn't have been more at home at this home away from home.
We had an awesome stay, will go back there any day. The hospitality and service showed by owner was great, had a very relaxing time. Truly home away from home.
Me and 3 friends decided to stay here and when we met the owner he was very friendly. We really relaxed and enjoyed our time there. Would go again anytime.
The house is as good as it looks on the pictures, very clean and has a homey feel to it. It would be great for solo travelers, families, partners or a group of friends looking for a getaway. Peter is a great host, we got a bottle of wine and other goodies to start you off at a self catering stay. I commend him on his willingness to assist even on the dumbest things. I would definitely recommend his place.
Check in time at Suburban Oasis is 14:00 which is fairly standard. Peter made sure to remind me that indeed check in time is strictly at 14:00. There was no room whatsoever for flexibility or exceptions. This was a little disturbing. I arrived at the guesthouse at 13:45 and Peter asked me to look at my time, clearly unhappy I didn't arrive at 14:00. For goodness sake, I was just 15 mins early. Nonetheless, I asked him if I should wait outside and only then did he open up for me. The place is OK overall. It doesn't look as spacious as it does in the pictures. In fact, the bedrooms are tiny. There is hardly any room to walk around. The geyser must be the smallest on the market. It certainly isn't big enough for the four people the place is meant to accommodate. Only 2 people could take quick hot showers. Thereafter, the water gets cold. Unfortunately, the rooms were also cold. When I raised this with Peter, he was quick to tell me that no one else has complained about that. As someone in this kind of industry he ought to know that we are all different. He told me about an extra duvet in the bedroom cupboard. I had a look at the duvet. Not only was it literally thrown at the bottom of the cupboard without being folded, it was dirty, had stains on it and smelled bad. I made Peter aware of this. He brought a fleece blanket which wasn't sufficient, but we decided to let it be. There is a fireplace in the living room which helped to keep the living room warm. On the day we left, Peter was extremely pushy. He sent me numerous messages telling us we need to leave at exactly 10:00 even telling me our bags should already be outside before then. He then mentioned that other guests were coming on the day we were leaving. There is nothing untoward about that at all however what I found strange is that he mentioned the guests were coming in before 14:00. I really wasn't offered the same courtesy. When we arrived, he was the one who had cleaned the place, but for these new guests, Peter had a arranged for a cleaning lady to come in and clean the place. Whoever these guests were, they were clearly far more important than us. Even after we had left Peter kept calling and texting to ensure we had left. It was a nasty goodbye indeed. We are not to return.
The place is well equipped, comfortable and safe. Will definitely stay there again in the future! Peter is a good host and was very helpful.

The unit meets the requirements for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal. It's very central and conveniently close to various restaurants and places of entertainment, as well as within reach of routes that can be used to explore attractions across the Cape. I would recommend the unit.

By finalising payment for your reservation you are confirming that you have read, understood and are willing to comply with these house rules & terms of stay as listed below.House Rules:
- No parties, events or gatherings of extra unpaid guests are allowed.
- No smoking of cigarettes, vapes or Hookah pipes allowed indoors. Smoking is only allowed outside of the house.
- No candles to be used indoors
- No loud music is allowed.
- No music is allowed outdoors.
- No loud, disruptive or disorderly behaviour will be tolerated.
- No noise outdoors between 10pm - 7am.
- No pets allowed.
- Check-in after 14:00 pm.
- Check-out by no later than 10:00 am.
Additional Terms of Stay:
- Please be aware of the safety hazards with regard to the swimming pool.
- No pool safety net in place.
- There is a pool shade cover on-site. PLEASE NOTE That this is not designed to be a safety net.
- The pool can be covered with this shade cover prior to your arrival by pre-arrangement. You will then be responsible to remove and replace the cover during your stay if and when required by you.
The host or property owner will not be held responsible or accountable for any incidents or accidents with regard to the use of the property or pool resulting in personal injury or death.
- Sleeps 4 people in 2 double beds. There is a also a single sleeper couch in the lounge for a 5th person.
- The house has a prepaid electricity meter which will be loaded with sufficient (limited) amount of electricity for your stay. (Nominal use)
- Please switch off all appliances and lights when not in use. (Front and back outside lights can remain on at night for security) .
- Low-pressure geyser (hot water heater) which affects shower pressure.
- Washing machine - Please ensure that the water is turned on before using the machine to launder clothes. (Only use the 30 mins cycle.) Please turn off the power and water when done. (Use the instruction booklet located in the kitchen drawer to troubleshoot any error codes.)
- BBQ/fireplace fires are to be attended to at all times and fully extinguished before going to bed or leaving the property.
- Pool pump works off a timer switch. Please do not adjust the settings.
- Please do not attempt to use the pool pump or pool vacuum cleaner.
- No stones, bottles, glasses, furnishings or any other foreign objects to be thrown/used in the pool.
- Please use the pool scoop provided to remove any leaves etc... that end up in the pool during your stay.
- Property entrance main gate to be kept shut at all times and locked when you are at home.
- The house needs to be secured/locked up at night before bed and also whilst you are out (doors and windows, security gates.)
- The house alarm is to be set before you head out for the day or night.(Not whilst you are at home)
- The house alarm works off electricity and has a battery backup. The power needs to be kept on at all times. (Main bedroom wall socket outlet, red plug). Please advise your host immediately of any alarm system malfunction issues.
- Please make sure that the patio doors are latched to the walls at all times when open. Prevents slamming and potential damage to doors and glass. Please keep the patio doors closed when it rains or else the wood will swell making it impossible to close or secure them. (Expensive to repair/ replace, at your cost.)
- Internet: Complimentary fibre/wifi is available in the unit. Network name and password are located underneath the router in the kitchen. A mini UPS is supplied for the fiber/ONT box (Only) which keeps the internet going during blackouts.
- TV: A 42" (HD) LG TV with a NETOGY media box is supplied with Netflix.(Also has access to other apps)
- Load Shedding/rolling blackouts- Please download the free "Eskomsepush" app to keep track of current load shedding schedules in our area. We are in Zone 5 (Claremont)
- There are 3 rechargeable LED lights in the kitchen to be used during load shedding only. Please do not drain their lead acid cell batteries below 50% as this will ruin them. Always put them back on charge in between load sheddings.
- Candles are a major fire hazard and are not allowed to be used indoors at all.
- Cleaning Service - Your rental includes one exit cleaning service at the end of your stay. You are responsible for keeping the property and all of its contents in clean, good order during your stay. Please leave the kitchen as you found it and place your trash into the bin outside before check-out. Additional cleaning services can be pre-arranged during your stay (for your account).
- Water Usage: Please use potable tap water sparingly and responsibly and do not top up the pool/wash cars with tap water.
- Please ensure that all taps/faucets are completely shut when not in use and report any leaking taps/faucets etc. to the owner/host immediately.
- Pool and garden maintenance. The owner/host will need to access the property on a weekly basis (by prior arrangement) to tend to the pool and garden.
- The property owner or host shall not be held responsible or accountable for any personal injury or loss or damage of any personal property that occurs at the property during your stay.
- Breakages: Repairs/replacement costs for any breakages/damage that occurs during your stay will be settled in cash by you prior to checking out. Please notify your host of any such incidents prior to check-out.
- Please notify your host immediately of any security/safety-related incidents that occur at the property.
- Your host lives close by and is available 24/7 in case of emergency.
