Yes thank you, we didn't need anything more. The toilet only requires sitting askew - know that space is limited. Just tighten the seat firmly.

Beautifully decorated beachy space with all you would have at home. Lights and fans and fridge work during load shedding and gas stove!
We had a nice stay, all that bothered us was that most of the windows couldn't close and with a storm outside it was hard to try to sleep at night. If it's right, it will be a perfect spot.
We could upgrade, but from what we saw, rather pass. Scrubbing cloth lying on the dining room table. If you open the back door to the outside there is about 1m of space and then you look into pre-fab wall. Very bad experience. You can certainly get better value for your money elsewhere. I asked for a refund of my money, but because we didn't want to pay for an upgrade, it was denied. Would advise everyone to go there.

We booked 2 apartments for a group of 7 adults and 2 children, of which 1 adult was a pensioner. It's 1 block away from the sea, as well as the amusement park, easy to go and enjoy a quick donut or an ice cream cone, or to go for a walk along the beach. The apartments were furnished with everything you could need, and a generator helped with the burden of "load shedding". We will definitely book here again!

The south sea was walking distance from the sea which made it comfortable for us to walk where we wanted to be. This is a plus. The size of the unit is very small for 3 people, Place was clean and the workers were helpful if we wanted to know something, and the maintenance person can get a 10 out of 10.

Place was very neat, no mistakes. Sorry for loadshedding, our visit was wonderful. Basically just slept there, would like the ceiling fan in master bedroom to blow faster. Bed linen and towels were clean. Other than that, no complaints.
The unit's windows open into the entrance hall and the other guests may make noise unknowingly, especially in the morning. Maybe just put a notice in portal, as the other guests were unaware of how the sound pulls.

Tidy. No reference as to whether the tap water is safe. No water in the fridge, not 1 bag of tea or coffee. We only slept there one night. Arrived only 20:00 after the flight. Everything was dark. No solar light to illuminate the name. we didn't know where the place was and couldn't call anyone because load shedding. You don't mention that there are sets of stairs, I couldn't carry luggage up with my back problem. Please state this clearly on your reference.
The location is good. Had a very nice stay except for a few problems, like the mould smell in the cupboards and drawers. The toilet seat is loose. There is no cold water in the basin tap.
Property is tiny, for a 3-bedroom unit, small courtyard with high walls around the property, honestly gives you a feeling of not being close to the beach, as views are literally of your tiny courtyard walls. Service from staff is terrible, on arrival one of the bedroom doors was faulty and couldn't close, this was reported to the staff, and we were told this would not be attended to during our stay. Out-of-season booking for the size and location of the property there is zero value for money. 2 weeks since departure and the damage deposit has not been refunded. Requests have been made via WhatsApp with no responses, and calls do not get answered. Give this establishment a skip or keep looking.

The unit is neat and clean. It is very well equipped. We had a lovely time. The location is perfect, just a few steps to the sea.
On arrival we were very tired and they kindly allowed us to go in earlier to sleep. The house is very clean and close to the sea, it's very safe to stay there and your car is also safe.

Walking distance to just about everything. Quiet and peaceful, safety is good.
The unit (no. 22) is compact, but very neat and particularly well laid out. Finishing, furniture and kitchenware are of high quality and we had a very comfortable stay. The only negative point was that (at the time of our visit) some basic items, such as a frying pan, tongs, a nice sharp knife and an egg spatula were missing. Apart from these few items, the unit was excellently equipped. We will definitely stay here again!
The whole unit was very satisfying to me. I would suggest that you inform guests that it is strictly self-catering. No coffees, teas, or milk, etc. I only had a little bit of discomfort with the hot water in the shower. It was tricky, had to open the tap of the face basin on hot for the hot water to run through in the shower. The tap of the face basin is reversed, cold is hot, and hot is cold. Then the pipes of the face basin leak. I also would suggest that you sometimes consider making booking transfers due to unforeseen circumstances.

The bed was in extremely poor condition. Hollow and not pleasant at all. Bedding has definitely seen better days! Unpleasant urine smell from bathroom. With all the rules and fines one would expect silence at night after 10pm and early in the morning. There was a school group that played rock-hard music before 06:00 on Saturday morning.
Place is nicely situated. We had a nice stay there as well. The place definitely needs a slight upgrade and some attention. I know the sea is giving it a hammering. Only problem we had is you could hear the neighbours in the other units as if they are in your place and when the made fire our whole placed smelled like braai. These are things one would expect so it isn't a major issue. It is just not completely suitable when you want to work there with the noise of the neighbours.

It was not very pleasant to barbecue on the sidewalk and the fact that there was very little ventilation. There was also a musty smell in the unit, due to being left for too long. The mattresses were very good.
I have been traveling nationally and internationally for over 30 years. Some months I am only home for 3 days. I have lived a lot in hotels and in self-catering units. I have also lived on Hartenbos several times, several times also at the ATKV. So I expect that my linen and towels will be replaced regularly and that something as simple as toilet paper is a given. My disappointment was great when I inquired in this regard and had to hear from the male person "this is not a hotel"! I will for sure put this extremely poor comment and no service on the web as I have never heard such a comment from a service provider in my more than 30 years. The simple comment does not belong in a service organization, it is extremely inappropriate, arrogant and uncalled for! Even though the towels and toilet paper were then replaced, I would like to point out that towels and toilet paper have never been a thing at any self-catering unit that I have had to inquire about. This small unit also does not have an air conditioning unit, something that is even provided at the ATKV! It was a shock to me that my inquiry was handled so bombastically, insensitively and incompetently.

Upon arrival you are greeted very professionally. We were in the 6 sleeper and all I can say is it is breath-taking from the minute you open up the front gate. We were only there one night, but if we could we would stay a week. I really want to commend all staff for the friendly arrival all the way to the friendly departure. My family and I will definitely be back again.
It is a beautiful place close to the sea (no sea view but still a stone's throw from the sea). Very tidy with a small table for work and everything in the kitchen that one needs to be able to make delicious meals. Very private and friendly service. I would really recommend it for 2 people who want to get away or need to travel for work.

For people who want to spend more time in the apartment, it might get a little cramped. No sea view from the apartment. However, hanging out on the deck is a nice option, but not private. Mattress not great.

It was absolutely delicious! It's small and cozy and has everything you could possibly need and bonus - it's walking distance from the sea. It's also close to a small shopping center - always a bonus if you have small children to go and buy diapers quickly! Book now, because this place is better than hot cross buns!
All that Suidersee needs to look after is bedding and after geyser especially if lots of people stay in different units hot water is a problem.

Well located, quiet area, but close to everything.
There were only a few small things that made me not award 5 stars on the stay. The bath plug doesn't seal properly so you bathe and 10 minutes later half of your bath is drained. The plug in the bathroom sink cannot push in and seal at all, so when my husband wanted to shave his beard he had to do it in the bath. The toilet lid and seat cannot stay up together and this seat is already very stained. The WiFi went down many times and so in the evenings when we wanted to watch a movie together as a family on Netflix, it was interrupted many times and later we had to use our own data. In the room with the two single beds the blinds do not close 100% and the room was brightly lit during the night it was difficult to fall asleep. These are all small things that need attention, but apart from that we really enjoyed it, we always felt safe and everything was neatly in place.
Unit 20 is ideal for singles or couples. It is comfortably furnished and has everything you could need. However, it can get a bit cold in the winter as it does not get any direct sun. Your car's parking is also some distance away and not directly at the unit. During my stay there there were some hooks in the bathroom on which things like washcloths etc. should be hung up that was loose and definitely needs to be re-glued.
The braai with the pool was fantastic. Hartenbos, is one of the nicest places to holiday with children. Suidersee is nicely furnished and very tidy.

The safety for a vehicle specifically in my case, my motorcycle is non-existent, owner was not helpful at all after I requested to park my motorcycle safely within the walls of his premises.
Room has no view. Windows face directly against other walls, poor ventilation. Only the front window has a view of the street rooms, dark and cold.
Very nice central place to stay. We were in no. 19 and the shower door doesn't close completely, so the floor is soaked after every shower. The toilet seat is also completely crooked.
The bedroom is very small. You can hardly move. The shower and toilet are right next to the bed with no door on it. The outside area looks right into a wall. There is no view whatsoever. If you sit outside there is no privacy as the staff walk up and down in front of you.
Place very neat. Everything you might need for housekeeping was there. Good location near als. Shops walking distance. The weather was not good for the barbecue. Would prefer private braai area. Would recommend for young company.

The bedroom door could not close because the bed is too big. Cats in the inner "Courtyard" area and children disturbed our peace.
The microwave's writings were all closed so you had to guess how it worked while there was no screen to put over the food for heating. No mats by beds and I'm loathe to give a copy of my credit card, which I consider an absolute security risk. Covid 19 forms were completed but it stopped there too.

We arrived late, but we were accommodated in terms of access to the unit, we received very friendly telephonic service prior to our arrival. Everything was perfect, neat and tidy, we slept comfortably and were on our way early the next morning.

Had a lovely time except for the barbeque area which is remote upstairs away from the apartment. Especially when weather is sad. Other than that, no complaints. Nice close to everything.
There was nothing wrong with the accommodation it was well furnished, we were just looking for an oven, especially if the weather is not good. The rooms were dark because there is not much natural light coming in there. The place is clean and the staff friendly, I can't get enough of it. We were just unfortunate to have neighbors above us who made a noise. So if you book there take this into account.

Accommodation at Suidersee Block 2 comprises 10 apartments, which range from 2 to 6 sleepers. Each flat is fully and uniquely decorated and consists of either open-plan living or 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms, with 1 or 2 private bathrooms. Each unit also has an open-plan living area with additional sleeping amenities. Each apartment has a well-equipped kitchen with the necessary appliances to cook meals and a TV with 80 DStv channels. Our newly installed solar panels and inverters will provide energy for the lights, TV, and fridge during load-shedding.
The flats have either a private braai facility or access to the communal braai areas. Parking is available for vehicles on the premises. The property is also within proximity to the beach, a putt-putt course, heated swimming pools at other resorts, hiking trails, Hartenbos Waterpark, and a drive from other attractions in this part of the Garden Route.
