The unit was very clean and tidy. The bedding is first class. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, don't take a unit near the lapa, the people there are noisy until very late. If you don't like the noise of cats, find another place to stay instead.

The Palms is truly one of the best guesthouses I have ever stayed at. The staff is particularly friendly and helpful. Room No. 6 may be a bit on the dark side, but it is extremely clean and tidy and contains everything one needs. The breakfast was more than adequate and tasty. The reception area and outdoor hangout area next to the swimming pool are incredibly nicely decorated - a late afternoon coffee in the comfortable chairs under the canopy is highly recommended.

Ideal for an overnight event in the greater Johannesburg area. We went from Amanzimtoti to Boksburg to attend a wedding and Summer Garden Guest House was ideally located. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was pre-heated when we entered late at night. Fransina makes the most delicious fried eggs for breakfast. Breakfast was also really good value for money. We would not hesitate to use Summer Garden again.
The accommodation was wonderful, I will definitely call again. The staff were friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make you feel at home. The room was neat, clean and eqquiped with everything you can ask for. Breakfast was tasty and diverse.
We had a good time with the family and enjoyed ourselves. The environment was lovely, my children loved the place. To the staff: big up for your service, clean towels were provided daily.
I do feel that it is the responsibility of the guesthouse to inform the paying guest of any changes or commitments that cannot be met by the guesthouse. We had a function on Friday afternoon and time was not on our side, to stop at the guesthouse, with all the bags in hand, ready to jump through the shower and get to the function, and only hear after about 15 minutes of confusion in the office area that we are not staying there is an absolute frustration. I have to also however say that the accommodation at the other place wasn't bad, and everything was neat and tidy, which was a great relief. Still had to ask to put 2 single beds together to at least sleep on a double bed - something that I asked for. I would've still preferred if someone ask me prior to me paying if I'd be comfortable staying in a different guesthouse than the one I actually paid for - common courtesy.

I was in Benoni for a course and took my daughter with me. Benoni was completely unknown to me and what a surprise it was, that we were close to a shopping center and also within walking distance of where our course was offered. We also felt very safe the whole time. At first I was scared to go there alone, so I took my daughter with me.
Correct, but the service could be more responsive.
Breakfast is good. There is too little storage space in the room. Safety chain on the door is out of order. Safe in the closet does not have a key and also the safe is not bolted to the wall! The electric fan in the bathroom door is redundant.
Very disappointed in the facilities: Room extremely small and no air conditioning. Room hot and uncomfortable.
We stay over after a concert at Carnival city. Enjoy our stay very much. Neat and clean.
