The Lodge offers relaxed inside and patio areas, both with fireplaces to add to the ambiance and atmosphere. The patio area opens up into the garden with great views of the river, palm laiden garden and one of 2 sunny pools. This stunning venue comfortably accommodates 30 conference guests.

Lovely friendly and very helpful people, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, tranquil setting on the river with springboks lazing around. We were on our motorbikes and were able to park close to our rooms, which made it very convenient. As a four-star establishment, they had all the necessary amenities available, which was wonderful.
Beautiful place with well-tended garden on the bank of the Orange. Comfortable rooms, very neat and clean and a delicious breakfast with good coffee.
The accommodation was clean and tidy. I would just like to recommend that you put handrails on the stairs. I was traveling with my elderly mother and she fell down the stairs.
Rooms are very small. Refrigerator has no freezer section and is also very small.
Had a great time and barbecued the evening. We got there on a holiday and the staff helped with wood and barbecue packs as many shops were already closed. The bar with a good selection also helped with the hot weather.
We arranged to bring our 3 month old German Shepherd puppy. It was also excellent for her. I can recommend them anytime!
Quiet atmosphere as if in nature, luxurious friendly service, highly recommend.
Weekend shopping, so convenient sleepover next to the river and grazing Springboks on the grass to soothe the soul.

Management and staff are very friendly and helpful. They made the stay there even more enjoyable. The location is very suitable with a beautiful view of the river. We had a barbecue in the evening on the lawn and the staff were very helpful in preparing everything we needed, even though we gave them very short notice that we wanted to barbecue. We will definitely visit Sun River Kalahari Lodge again.

Semi-self-catering unit may not have everything you need, but the staff is quick to help where there is a shortage.
We stayed overnight at Sun River Kalahari Lodge on the way back from Namibia. After the desert this was definitely an oasis. The rooms are beautiful, the gardens well maintained and the staff friendly.
We had a very nice stay. Will definitely go there again. Will take the kids next time. Lovely lawns and swimming pool.

Was disappointed in the location of my accommodation, it was not with a view of the river as advertised.
The place is beautiful, clean, and well located! But paying R1250 for such an uncomfortable, small room is absolutely absurd! One can get something much nicer, better and bigger in the world's most beautiful cities, for the same price! Our room and bathroom were so small it was unpleasant! Furthermore, we slept on 4 different types of pillows, one is way too hard, the other too soft. This is my fiance and I's sixth time staying in Upington and we have stayed at a new place each time, and enjoyed it a lot, but Sun River Kalahari Lodge was the worst experience yet.
This was also a well equipped unit. Lovely breakfast. Cocktail on the deck overlooking the Orange River. The green grass was refreshing.
It was very nice to arrive after a day's driving at a place with a green lawn and a lovely swimming pool.

What an oasis in the Kalahari. The beautiful garden, which extends to the river and two swimming pools, is a courtesy for body and soul and gives the feeling of holiday. Friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms, nice breakfast. What more can one ask for? Very good value for money.
We traveled with our puppy and we could comfortably accommodate her. Reception was friendly and accommodating because we chose a room on the ground floor. In addition, the room was modern and well equipped with, among other things, plugs for the mobile phones, Wi-Fi, as well as adequate and good quality coffee and tea. Both of us smoke and there is a space on the veranda just outside the room, with an ashtray we could use.
Room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast delicious. Please just check your WiFi.
I really enjoyed staying there. The staff are friendly and the service and breakfast are wonderful. I would suggest, however, that they install extractor fans in the bathrooms, because when you shower the steam is overwhelming and everything gets wet.

I can't say anything negative about the place. It's beautiful, clean, well maintained and the breakfast was very tasty. We were surprised that you couldn't get any dinner over the weekend, but that was the least of it. The pools are super nice and clean. The grass is green and the river clean. Definitely worth it after a long day in the car and in the heat of the day.
