The house can accommodate 13 guests and comprises of 5 bedrooms. The main bedroom contains 2 double beds, as well as a flat-screen TV. There is an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and bath. There is a door between the room and the bathroom, to ensure privacy in this room, whilst other guests can still make use of the bathroom. The second and third bedrooms both have double beds, whilst the fourth and fifth bedrooms have queen-size beds. The second bathroom is shared and is fitted with a bath and shower, and a separate toilet. Bath and beach towels are available for use by guests.
The main bedroom has an external door leading to the front patio. If required, a double bed can be swapped out with 2 single beds - suitable for children only.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a stove, oven, fridge, microwave, and cutlery and crockery. There is also a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Spices, sauces and cleaning products are available for guests to use.
The dining room has seating for 8 people and the lounge features a lounge suite, a single sleeper couch and a flat-screen TV.
The front patio has another 8 seater table, a built-in braai under the roof, and is sheltered from the wind. Wooden doors in the open-plan living/dining area lead to a balcony overlooking the mountains.
Free Wi-Fi is provided and both TV's have Netflix. If guests want to watch DStv they must use their own login details.

2 guests' feedbackThe owners went out of their way to make our stay amazing. Everything was perfectly prepared and exceeded our expectations of how well equipped the house was.
We had a great stay at Sunbird House. Michael welcomed us so warmly with a nice treat basket. The kitchen is one of the best equipped kitchens of self-catering units we have ever stayed in. Everything you could possibly need was available. Even sauces and spices were in stock and for our use at no extra cost. There were plenty of beach towels available that we could use so we didn't have to pack so big. The house was really very neat and everything was of good quality. We were a fairly large group of 2 families with small children as well as two grandmothers, but we never felt under each other's feet. For a seaside house, the visiting area and braai area were also nicely sheltered when the wind blew. Sunbird House will definitely see us again in the future.

House rules
1. Strictly no smoking allowed inside the house or on the balcony. Cigarette butts must be disposed of properly and not thrown on property grounds. Failure to do so will result in a deduction from the security deposit.2. The property is let out "as is" and the Landlord cannot supply additional furniture, appliances nor fittings.
Guests may also not move furniture and fittings around unless agreed to by the Landlord.
3. Trash cans must be emptied before departure and bags placed in outside bins.
Garbage bags needs to placed out on days as indicated by Landlord.
4. The Landlord is not responsible if the Guests finds the home, furniture and fittings not up to standard. Photographs is supplied to the Guests to best depict the home and contents at the time of booking.
5. Any cleaning that the Guests may require during the stay of the holiday rental period has to be arranged by Guests themselves. All arrangements will be between the Guests and the Service Provider and the Landlord will be excluded from this contact, with no involvement.
6. The Guests will be issued with at least one set of keys.
7. Guests are requested to respect usage of Water and Electricity during their stay.
8. No dogs/pets are allowed without prior arrangement with the Landlord.
9. The amount of Guests may not exceed the number as agreed to in the contract without prior arrangement with the Landlord
10. Guests occupy the property at own risk. Neither Landlord nor agency can be held responsible for any loss of items and/or injury.
11. Guests and visitors must keep noise to a minimum as not to disturb the occupants of neighbouring properties - especially during nighttime hours; 11:00 to 08:00, and upon arrival and departure.
12. Parties and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited at the Vacation Rental and any small gathering must comply with other rules set regarding noise, the neighborhood and visitor numbers.
13. Breakage deoposit must be paid before arrival. Keys will not be handed over if breakage deposit has not been paid.
14. Breakage deposit will be refunded within 7 days after departure, if there is no damage to property and guests kept to houserules.
15. Unfortunately no pets are allowed, as there is a flatlet adjacent to the house. The flatlet has a seperate entrance and yard, thus you will have complete privacy.
