30 guests' feedbackWe stayed for one night and it was perfect for this. The unit had everything we needed, and the private pool was really a bonus. What was slightly bothersome was that we could not access the WiFi, the TV remote did not work, and all the bedding really needs to be looked at, including the pillows. However, I give it 5 stars because it is a three-star resort; you cannot really complain about what is on offer. One last thing I would like to mention is that they charge a R500 refundable deposit, which is fine. But when you make the booking, the accommodation doesn't email you to ask for an EFT for the deposit or to bring cash. If you arrive and don't have the cash, then you have to use your bank card, for which they then charge you an additional R50 (which you don't get back) for the bank charges, which I think is really cheeky. At least offer guests the choice in advance.

We had a nice stay and they cleaned every day. The cleaners are very friendly. Just have to wait a long time (14 working days) for fragile deposit to be refunded. Not sure why it has to take so long.
Sea view from the first floor was very nice. Nice swimming pool with braai facilities and located close to the beach. Friendly and helpful receptionists. Unit was tidy with everything we needed.
During the week it was quiet, but come Friday afternoon it turns into a drunken den. Music is played until the early hours of the morning only to start again after 7 in the morning. Staff are around but do not take any action against offenders. The little garden for your four-legged friend has no grass at all, only hot pavement. Pieces of grass are essential for their daily activities. Many of the items in the apartment were broken. A little regular maintenance is essential to keep a place in good condition.

Exactly what we expected! Unit was serviced daily, pet friendly was a bonus! Exactly as in the photos! Reception was friendly, very comfortable stay, sea view was amazing! All negative thing was the WiFi was very very weak barely worked. Other than that everything was perfect! Thanks Sunrise team! We will see you again soon!

The accommodation is amazing, comfortable, clean and immaculate. The garden and pool area are beautiful. The complex are extremely safe. The cleaning staff are very friendly, kind and welcoming. They have cleaned our unit every day and nothing got lost. Some units has grass and is definitely pet friendly and my dogs were very safe, happy and secure with grass. My dogs won't do their toilet on paving - grass is extremely important. There are no problems receiving your deposit back. They give it immediately by departure. Vehicles are safe under shaded parking.

Family unit was clean and tidy. Beautiful sea and garden view. Would recommend that stricter measures and controls be applied regarding loud music and late night socializing after 10:00 pm.
One toilet smelled bad and we couldn't sort it out, the shower head is broken. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
The place was superb and clean. The security was explanded, everything about the place was wonderful.
Too bad we couldn't braai on the stoep because you don't always feel like sharing a communal braai with other guests. Our unit was tidy with a beautiful sea view.
I must admit the recptionist was very kind and helpful, also very concerned.
Try and keep the noise down. Other wise our stay was fantastic.
Did not receive our R500 deposit because we were told my spouse threw bones in the pool when we asked for proof they didn't want to show us the footage on camera, the manager is racist and rude. We had to call the police still she was rude. What damage did bones do because we were willing to even go see those bones for proof but no, we were falsely accused.
Unfortunately, a group of very noisy guests came in on the last day. We couldn't hear ourselves think (music, screaming, shouting) and went to complain to Marie. She silenced them, but then the party moved to the complex's pool. There was continuous screaming and shouting and the noise continued until the midnight hours. We had trouble sleeping. I'm afraid we won't be going back to Sunset Beach Resort again because of these guests.
I had an excellent stay. However GPS needs to be updated as there is a confusion between Sunrise Beach Flats and Sunrise Beach Resort. The service was excellent upon arrival and the cleaning lady was superb.
Their room units are very neat and beautiful, with air conditioning in 2 rooms. Large bathroom and very nice kitchen. Our unit's shower was a little "winky", but otherwise great. Excellent place for a nice long walk by the sea. They are also located very close to the beach. Not smoker friendly at all, but I suspect no one is these days. The gates leading to the beach were locked all the time, which meant we had to walk a bit further to get to the beach. Nevertheless, the visit was very nice. Anyone will really enjoy these spots. I would definitely recommend it for couples and singles.
