We stayed in the Dolphin Garden Suite and were pleasantly surprised. Definitely value for money and furnished with guest comfort in mind. Thank you very much for the little things that make a difference such as the complimentary coffee, tea, sugar and biscuits. Could enjoy a nice cup of coffee after a long drive. There was even a box of milk and bottled water in the fridge and a bag of wood for the first barbecue. We were also kept informed of the load shedding schedule. The unit was super clean and tidy with good quality kitchenware, linen and equipment. The fenced yard is well maintained and was a bonus as I let my 2 yorkies have free access without fear of them wandering off. Although there were guests in the other units, the location of all the units is such that all can be completely private. Free Wi-fi and full DSTV is another bonus. We will definitely come again.

This unit has everything you need. Stuart made us feel right at home and was so willing to help with anything. We felt special when we walked in. Penguin is nice and private and ideally located for 2 people who want to spend some time with each other. Everything was neat and comfortably furnished. Shops for the necessary were nice and close. Communication was above average.
Two disappointments, one with the accommodation and the other with Gansbaai. There were a couple of plumbing problems in the accommodation. Kitchen sink's hot water not really working. Owner said they have tried to repair it several times without luck. En suite toilet stopped flushing after 2 days, unless one got into the cistern and did it manually. En suite shower dripped unless fastened really tight. Geyser also burst, apparently. Gansbaai is great and chilled but there is no beach to swim at unless you trek quite far into the reserve. I wouldn't do a year-end summer holiday there again for that reason. Other than that, we had a very nice relaxing stay. Hosts were good and there were nice extras like firewood, rusks and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils etc.
Stuart was very friendly and helpful. The place was very neat. I would just like another light blanket as the duvet was very warm. It is a pity that we the floods the first night of our stay had to forfeit.
Unit is fully equipped. Gas stove, kettle, rechargeable flashlight for load shedding, complimentary coffee, milk, biscuits and braai wood.

Sunset Bliss had been clean and tidy. The sink in the bathroom had a silver plug that could not be removed, pushed in to let the water drain out. That mechanism by the tub was broken, the whole top part was gone. The owners knew about it before we got there, otherwise there wouldn't have been an extra rubber plug (which didn't keep the water in the tub at all). I was specifically looking for a place with a bath, due to medical reasons. Why is Sunset Bliss advertised with a bathtub?

Very good value for money. Clean, and well equipped. Late afternoon or early morning hanging out on the stoep, with the sea view and especially the evening view towards Hermanus, was a very special time for us every day.

The stay was amazing. Stuart and Esté were great hosts from beginning to end. The location was very close to shops and fishing spots and not to forget a walk away from the beach, tidal pool and a beautiful sunset from every bedroom. My sons and I including our dog enjoyed the stay. Peaceful, quiet setting with sea views to ensure that it was calming and relaxing. Our dog had its own garden which was such a treat. We were close to the tidal pool which was a bonus if we had small kids.

Arrangements for the key were confirmed with us well in advance. The house was so neat and we were received personally by the owner. There is certainly everything you will need and Stuart even took care of our first batch of wood. Our battery decided to die there and it was no problem for him to come help and tell us where to get a new battery. The view from the house is breathtaking. Definitely worth it.

I stayed fro two days and what a blissful time it was indeed - from falling asleep with the waves crashing in the background to waking up to birds chirping and a fresh ocean breeze! The hosts are warm, lovely and caring! The cottage has everything you need for a wonderful little getaway and relaxing stay! The color scheme and super comfortable bed make you feel refreshed and energized. The owner was very gracious and allowed me to check out a little after the actual check out time, due to a online workshop I had to attend. Although it rained most of the weekend we enjoyed the accommodation and surroundings. There was everything in the house to make our stay as comfortable as possible, even braai wood and lightning. Coffee and biscuits. Esme and Stuart also kept us informed of the power outage times. We will visit again soon even if it is a long drive, it is worth it. We highly recommend Sunset Bliss as a seaside getaway. Yes, we saw whales.
The 5-star reputation speaks for itself. The experience from booking all the way to check out really made the experience special and painless. The owners go the extra mile to make sure you are happy and comfortable. We were in the Dolphin Suite where we had more than enough space so that one could easily stay for weeks without feeling cramped. The unit was fantastically equipped and everything is where you expect it to be and it makes you feel like you don't have to show up there with nothing more than the clothes on your back. The garden was perfect for the dogs and the view from the lounge was better than anything on TV, even if there was a full DSTV package to keep you occupied. Where "free WiFi" is usually a term for "useless", in this case it was the exact opposite and was fantastic because normal phone signal usually fails you at the coast. It is 2 to 3 minutes from shops and restaurants and an 8 minute drive to De kelders beach. The name Sunset Bliss is a testament to the experience anyone will have here. The weekend with you was really blissful.

Was greeted by the lovey Stuart who showed us around the what was surprising bigger than I expected flat. The location was our fav thing about the stay right across from the ocean where we took our nightly sunset walks even though you can see it clearly from the flat, it's a short distance on direction to De Kelders, a short distance to the other direction to Gansbaai, just a relaxing nature lover's dream.

Had an amazing weekend at Sunset Bliss with my family. The 2 and 4 bedroom units were fully equipped with everything and anything else. Super clean, comfortable, beautiful sea view and quite a few unexpected surprises. (Biscuit, filter coffee, fresh milk). Our host Esté and her husband were lovely and very professional. Este and Stuart really go the extra mile to make you feel at home, such as bags of ice in the freezer, plus bottles of water and milk in the fridge, plus filter coffee and biscuits. Big bonus was Dana Snyman's book "Under the Radar" on the shelf, which I devoured. Lovely Duiwelsgat hiking trail barely 100 m from the house.
We had a wonderful stay in the Whale Manor. Everything was tip-top and very neat. Beautiful sea view from the porch and nice walking distance from the beach. Wonderful customer service from Esté and Stuart. Would love to stay there again.
We stayed in the 4 sleeper Dolphin Suite which has a great little garden. The house is just what you need for a weekend away and comes complete with everything you could need - including complimentary rusks. Braai pit for stories under the stars and a sheltered braai area for the serious cooking. Although there are 2 bathrooms, only 1 has a shower so you need to access the main bedroom if you want to shower and have a roster. Would definitely return.

A little worried about dogs that shouldn't be there! It really spoils the ambience of the place. I think our permission should have been asked as we were not informed about barking dogs.

The hosts were incredibly helpful. The unit was fresh, clean and felt newly furnished. The location was a quiet road away from the sea which was the cherry on the cake. The bed was super comfy, with fresh, clean, new linen and big towels. The MWeb decoder had a full bouquet of programmes and the WiFi was great to have. Thanks for the coffee, the rusks, milk, bottled water, the wood and braai facilities. All in all a super stay and would love to go back as and when the occasion arises. The location was good for exploring the coastal path all along the rocky seashore, the wine farms and nearby Stanford.

The place was very neat and well kept you could pick up the owners of Este and Stuart went out of their way to add a beautiful touch, I was impressed! I was a bit nervous as I invited two other families to stay with us but when we arrived they were immediately impressed. Everything from the rooms to the kitchen and the amazing sea view from the patio was perfect! The owners were also very kind, the gas braai ran out of gas, and in a few minutes, Stuart was there to replace the empty tank.

We were a large group of 11 adults. Spent a very nice weekend there. The various accommodation units were excellently furnished with all the necessary comforts (even with a dishwasher), they were very neat and clean with an incredibly beautiful view of the sea. We went with a group of 10, rented the 4 and 6 sleeper. It's a very well looked after house with amazing views, the patio is well designed to protect you from the wind. The kitchen has plenty prep room and the gas braai is a treat. Really enjoyed being close to the water and lovely walk along the sea to the beach (10/15 mins) One thing to be aware of is the 3 units are very close together but each unit has their own place for privacy. Este is a wonderful host who really cares about the place, would recommend staying.
The owners communicated well, were friendly and we were warmly received. The cottage was private and comfortable with a lovely ocean view.

A refundable breakage deposit must be paid before arrival. It will be refunded via EFT within 48 hours after the house is cleaned and everything is found to be in order. If there is damage, the value of the damage will be deducted from the breakage deposit before it is refunded via EFT.
Guests are asked to leave the house in reasonable condition and wash their dirty dishes in the dishwasher.
All remaining dishes should be washed or placed in the dishwasher.
If the units are not reasonably tidy, and items or furniture are broken or damaged, extra costs will be charged, and the breakage deposit will also be withheld.
