There are various chalets available: chalet 1 is open planned and can accommodate 2 guests, chalet 2 can accommodate up to 5 guests, 3 four-sleeper chalets, 2 luxury chalets that can sleep 2 guests and the Estuary View Chalet that sleeps, 4 guests.
You can sit on your own private patio, soak up the sun or swim in our crystal clear swimming pool while watching the boats; hippos, crocodiles and listen to the cry of the fish eagle go by.
We also have resident Lourie, yellow-billed kites, and Hornbills.

The garden is beautiful and the owner is very hospitable and can inform guests exactly what to do where. We rested wonderfully and visited the most beautiful places. Thank you very much, we would love to stay there again. Thanks also to the lady who did our laundry in St. Lucia.
The pool is amazing and always clean.
Had a great time. Didn't have a view, but that didn't bother us. Cottages were very neat, nice bedding and towels. Towels changed every second day. Everything was in working order and well equipped. Will definitely go again.

The cabin was spacious, had all the amenities that we needed and had ample parking space for all guests. The pool deck is inviting and a great place to relax and has a great view of the estuary itself. The gardens around the cabins are abundant with trees and birds. The log cabins are conveniently located close to the sunset jetty where you can pick up a river cruise if you have booked. The town and all its restaurants and shops are also a short distance down the road.
It's an incredibly nice place. Customer service was great, very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our 8 day holiday. They really make an effort and we will go back for sure.
Only problem is there is not enough storage space in unit to put things down. The units also do not face the riverbank as advertised.

What you will have to share with the other guests: only one barbecue at the pool, but you can also barbecue at your log cabin. Cleanliness can be improved. Wonderful, quiet area of St. Lucia. Walking distance to most attractions.
We loved the pool and the deck with the great view! The Log Cabins have everything you need, is comfortable and clean. The aircons are an awesome bonus.
We were very happy with the accommodation, particularly the front cabin with its amazing views of the estuary. Braai facilities available. Cabins are serviced daily and were neat and clean.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't check in until very late at night and they didn't have a problem receiving us. DStv channels are limited but you don't necessarily want TV so it didn't bother. Coffee, tea and sugar not replenished every day. Thank you very much for the umbrella and cool bag you lent us.

Log cabins are comfortable. Close to everything yet outdoors in peaceful surroundings. Plants/trees beautiful. Staff very friendly. Seniors may find it difficult to use shower in bath.
The only negative feedback is that the unit is marketed with TV and WiFi. The TV channels were invisible. Apparently there was a problem, but the owner is still waiting for the service provider. Maybe they should follow up more often that their supplier should come and solve the problem. The owner himself has a problem. In order not to create expectations they may not market their place with the services.
Lovely, lovely, cottage has everything needed, cleaning service every day, friendly people, beautiful surroundings. Wildlife comes to your doorstep. For people who want to experience silence and tranquility this is the place to stay.
We stayed for 3 nights. Everything was great. On arrival the owner gave us a lot of information and a map with recommendations on where to go and what to do. The cabins have a proper kitchens and also braai areas which can be used by the guests (one big grill by the pool and small ones you can take to your cabin). Overall a very nice experience!

Satisfactory. Spacious living unit, clean, free WiFi/Internet, DStv, covered parking at our unit, swimming pool, friendly and helpful staff and air conditioning. Disliked: Too few DStv channels (only 2 preset channels plus SABC 1, 2, 3 and e-TV). DStv switched off 21:00 the night before we left. Internet signal very weak. Shower in bath. Prefer stand alone shower. Difficult to get in and out for the elderly. No view.
We have stayed at Sunset Lodge in 2015, and now again in December 2017. We will be back! It's a lovely self-catering place, very neat with everything you need. We stayed in the Luxury Chalets. Nicely air conditioned and modern inside. Rested well here. They recently also upgraded the swimming pool area viewing the lake. The lady that hosted us was a sweet-hearted person, always asking if you need anything. Good parking for your vehicle inside by your chalet. Lekker braai facilities. Definitely my favorite place in St Lucia! The area also gets patrolled by a security guard (no crime here btw). He's also on the lookout for St Lucia's roaming hippopotamus (very nice to see).

I was expecting a bit more. But there are signs and rules about how we should use water and electricity. I don't want rules when I'm on vacation. We were not received very well at reception. They lady there wasn't nice.

Sunset Lodge Log Cabins was really neat and pretty and even though it is a small cabin with children, we had a wonderful time.
What a surprise, St Lucia! This little town has a supermarket and various good restaurants. There is so much to do, amongst others there is a boat trip on the river to see the hippos and crocodiles and the swimming beach is of high quality with clean ablution facilities. We will definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately, a fishing party stayed here on the same weekend. Chalet No 1 is at the entrance and the motorboats warm up their engines early in the morning before going out to sea. The manager offered us accommodation for Saturday at another guest house to have as little inconvenience as possible. After that we went back to Sunset after the fishing competition was over. I would suggest finding out when competitions are taking place before making a reservation. Otherwise it was very nice. Negative point is air conditioning did not work and the microwave knob was broken

A beautiful sunset. The front unit is certainly a better option than other units.
The chalets and outdoor patio are very cramped inside and built on top of each other. You hear the guy next door walking on the wooden floor. There is no individual braai area and little privacy. Chalet 1 is indeed private and has a nice view, but the others are not ideal.
We really enjoyed our time at Sunset Lodge Log Cabins. The cleaning staff were very friendly, the security as well. We had everything we needed in our chalet. The tranquility was incredible. We would recommend it to anyone.
The TV has no reception. The office lady said she would have it looked at, but we left without a catch. The can opener does not work at all. Some of the dishes were not very clean.
