A central point from which you can move east or west. If you are a nature person there are many things to see.
I would just recommend that the definition of "2 bedrooms with shared bathroom" be revised for the cottage we stayed in. It is indeed 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom, but the bathroom is en suite which makes it uncomfortable if there are 4 adults sharing the place. If the bathroom was not en suite it would have been perfect for 4 adults and by definition it would indeed be "2 bedrooms with shared bathroom". However, the layout is perfect for two adults (parents) and two young/small children.
I recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We really enjoyed our stay.
It was lovely to stay there. The living unit was fully equipped with every imaginable comfort. The gardens are beautifully maintained and the hot breakfast was tasty.
I had important work deadlines to meet this weekend and the peace and quiet on my own was just what I needed to work. Next time I will take my husband and our little girl with me - the place is special.

Was on a short visit, only afternoon to evening with breakfast. It was very nice especially with the fireplace inside the house. Wish we could have spent 2 more nights to take advantage of everything available such as the pool.
Very nice property with spacious chalets that even allow for self-catering if wanted. Lovingly cultivated garden around which the chalets are grouped. Stormsrivier is outside the actual park, hence park entry has to be paid on daily basis. Swallows Nest is 200m off from N2 at the entry of the village. Also, recommend the Taste Bistro across the road - excellent food and very friendly service.
Not enough photos inside, especially of the lounge area. Happy they have a generator running during loadshedding. Decor in the lounge area outdated, but clean and comfortable. Main bathroom mirror needs to be replaced, very old as grey lines are showing.

The reception was friendly and it was thoroughly checked that everything in the unit was OK. The unit is clean and tidy and very nicely furnished. The gardens of the resort make you want to linger there. We were really sorry to have to leave. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast with friendly staff.
We were 4 adults and a 5 year old. Stayed in the Hyacinth Cottage for 2 nights. Cottage was lovely, clean and perfect for what we wanted. The photos were a true representation of what it is. Close to all amenities. Breakfast was great - good variety offered. Great service.

We recently spent two nights here. Very friendly reception, it makes you feel right at home. The cottages are modern, extremely clean and tidy with all facilities required for self-catering accommodation. A delicious buffet breakfast is included in the price. Had a great stay, enjoyed peace and quiet, good breakfast and hospitality. Cottage very, very clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend it. Nothing to complain about!
All equipment is of high quality. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful, but for the price one pays there should be no need to ask for anything. I had to ask for a braai grill and a braai bowl. You do not have your own braai area and have to share with other units.
Accommodation was nice and clean. Kitchen quite well equipped. Environment very nice.
Very clean and sufficient heating. Lovely cottage. Good location to access all nearby activities and beautiful scenery from the cottage. Struggled a little bit with parking because of the season. Minor: Mostly sufficient facilities, but was expecting an oven in the self-catering along with the stove and braai provided.
