Our 3 night stay in the Melody Cottage was lovely and we lacked nothing while we were there. The complimentary craft sherry was a lovely surprise. We arranged in advance with Ansie for wood for the fireplace and it was nice to be able to make a fire just as soon as we stepped in and drive away the cold. The beautiful garden is a big bonus and it was nice to watch the chickens that walked around peacefully. Everything was neat and we would definitely recommend Swallowtail to others.
The hosts were happy to go over and beyond what was expected. And a special thanks for doing our laundry on New Years Day.

The destination, although quite remote, is a magical place to visit full of surprises. The view and gardens are amazing. Be there on a Saturday to attend the markets. I preferred the smaller one.

The spacious open-plan living area boasts a fireplace, and a TV with full DStv. Outside, there is a lovely covered verandah, overlooking the Hogsback Mountains; the ideal place to chill with a glass of wine. There is a braai area in the garden.
