This was my first booking through you and we were very satisfied.
Small place with friendly people.
It was great to walk in and see the cottage was fully equipped with everything, nothing was missing, people very friendly and hospitable.
We were warmly welcomed by the hostess. She is friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you very much.

We rode motorbikes and spent the night at Swartberg Cottages. We could park safely and walk to find everything to grill and eat at Spar. Perfect for overnight stay.
The accommodation at Swartberg Cottages was functional and comfortable. No frills but catered to my needs after riding for over 's on my bike. A small incident occurred whereby the heater tripped the power, and when I checked, the extension cord had blown. Some dodgy electrical connections under the bed were a hazard.

It is exactly as I expected it to be.
The unit occupies two floors. There are style stairs with a not so safe railing to the 2nd floor. I would not recommend the unit for older persons or those who have difficulty climbing stairs. The bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living area are on the 2nd floor. We limited our stay to the 2nd floor due to the style stairs. The living area does not have a couch to sit on, only a table with chairs that get uncomfortable after a while. There is also no TV in the unit.
Thank you for Daniel's quick and good service! A few things that bothered. Visitors are dictated when they have hot water in the morning, as the geyser is hopefully not turned on until 8:00. Only afternoon and evening hot water - not nice in winter time. Load capacity must be taken into account. Shower is open, so floor gets soaked. Too few hooks/rails for towels. One has to ask for the gas bottle to be opened to cook on a gas stove and then it is wrapped again after use. Two induction cookers did not want to work. No serving tray for a food dish. No toaster. No wfi during loadshedding and 1G only lasts 1 day. Their wifi system does not work well. Fantastic indoor grill with chimney that draws well. Secure parking. Warm bedding. Heaters in rooms. Internal house rules must be set up in place of residence.
It was delicious. Neat, clean and the staff were very pleasant. Our elderly parents were checked in next to us and also found it pleasant. Thank you very much for the experience. Greetings Johan & Maria.

It's a good overnight place.
Electric gate was broken which made place feel a bit unsafe.
It was a pity that there weren't any TV channels, only stories. Would love to have the full length mirror mounted on the wall.

The place was neat and clean with everything you need. WiFi was a bonus.
Manager went out of her way to accommodate us with a request.
Think it's still new, some things that need attention: no hanging out outside in the shade. Couple of chairs, table, lapa would have been nice. Had to drag chairs out of room to sit on very narrow porch outside room. No windows in room. No tea. Well coffee and creamer. Dog kennels right in front of room door, lots of flies. Rooms inside at least very clean and tidy. Secure parking under cover.
Old room and kitchen (cockrochsers in utensil draw) with loadshedding now, I would suggest a chargeable light instead of candle.
Floors were dirty. Glasses were dirty. Directions extremely poor.

Comfortable overnight facilities on the way north or south: it's comfortably close to the N1 but offers the unique opportunity to drive over the Swartberg Pass.

I was kindly received. The facility is very clean, safe and comfortable. The location (right next to the gas station) might scare off prospective guests, but as a woman I didn't feel unsafe for a moment. Very good value for money. Just look please. to the address (on your system) sent to the guest prior to arrival at Swartberg Cottages. It says 111 Church Street. It is a private residence with residents who are clearly irritated by all the guests who visit.
We slept there for 1 night on our way to Cape Town. It is small, but well equipped for an overnight stay.

Ideal for overnight stays when travelling. Very well furnished.

For what we paid the facility was not up to scratch. The room very small, but with all the extras, ie TV, WiFi and air-con.
Air conditioning not working, general feeling that maintenance is not up to par, roof in bathroom moldy etc.
Very basic accommodation. There was an infestation of flies and had to use the whole jug of poison to get the room pest free.

Cash loan business creates impression of "insecurity" Good accommodation and pleasant and friendly hostess.
Neat layout well furnished, TV channels and WiFi, secure parking, area is very busy.
The trash outside had an unpleasant smell. The bathroom door to the living area does not close tightly. You can look through the opening. The toilet also had a smell. We had to buy a disinfectant. There was also not enough toilet paper for 2 days' stay. There were 3 of us in the apartment. The reason for the above is apparently insufficient supervision by the owner.
Swartberg is basic self-catering that is adequately equipped and clean. The owners communicated well. I can recommend it for travelers who mainly need affordable and convenient overnight facilities.

The young man was very friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi password was available on the clipboard. He visited every now and again, to hear if everything is in order. Everything was neat and clean, everything we needed was there, a braai-area is available. Visited the next morning to make sure everything is fine and we had a good night's rest. This place was very pretty and neat. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. The room was hopelessly too small for 3 people. There were twin beds as well as a three quarter bed to sleep on. AWFUL - none of us slept. The table with the stove on top of it was right next to the beds. We struggled to find the entrance since the guesthouse is behind a work space.
After a stressful time on the long road, we received a friendly and professional reception. The accommodation units were spotlessly clean with all the necessary accessories you might need. Our car was safely parked under cover and two wonderful dogs, Blackie and Snowie, look after you and everything around you. I would definitely recommend it for a short stay or overnight stay. Cottages behind the bottle store. Was sceptic when we arrived initially, but what a pleasant surprise. Ample parking. Clean and neat. Everything you need. Nice braai facilities, walking distance from Spar, just 30 metres. Will book again.
The accommodation provided everything that we needed for 2 nights. The owner was very helpful and friendly and the property was comfortably secure.
Was there with my bike from Die Hel and other destinations. Perfect overnight spot with everything you need including air conditioning for the heat. Friendly reception despite me showing up late. I didn't use the self-catering facilities but it is equipped with everything you need to prepare your own meals.
Everything one needs. One sleeps here, and moves from here and goes about his business. 2 large, friendly dogs look after you and your vehicle in the evening. Braai facilities are lovely, but just make sure you take Tabard with you for the mosquitoes.
Although it is located in the town and is therefore very convenient, it would be nice to have a larger outside hanging area. The air conditioning was very welcome in the severe heat.
Everything was nice, except there was no warm water the next morning. We were very upset about this, because I paid a lot of money for one night's stay and there was no warm water the following morning. Not nice.
A pity so close to the bottle store!
Before the stay we had a good communication and I was looking forward staying here. When we got here it wasn't good service. It looked like the lady that I spoke to wasn't there. We needed to ask for extra information. 3 beds were put in a space that was too small so we couldn't even sit inside except for on the bed. There was no atmosphere unfortunately. Didn't feel very welcome by the people that opened up for us.
A lot of people are on the bandwagon to earn a few extra bucks and the hospitality industry is an easy way. There has to be strict checks especially if it is done online. One beautiful picture is misleading and doesn't tell the whole story.
It has everything that you need, but does not justify a visit to Prince Albert.

Our cottage was spacious, very neat, clean and modern. The kitchen is very well equipped - there is everything one might need. There is parking for your car under a canopy. The cottages are within walking distance of a supermarket and other shops. We really enjoyed our sleepover.

At night it is very dark outside. There was no hot water to shower in - only lukewarm. We complained about a tube light that didn't work. It was still like that when we left after three days.
We only stayed one night instead of the two nights we had booked. Very tight. I would not recommend it.
Very disappointing. The so-called "cottage" was literally an outside room behind a gas station with a bathroom as big as a closet. It is advertised as pet friendly, but there are already 2 giant wolfdogs living on the premises who literally wanted to jump into my car and my dachshund almost had a heart attack. Since there is no confined space except in the room where you can now keep your dog, it is DEFINITELY not pet friendly.
