28 guests' feedbackI had a great stay in the Oak Cottage. I was in the area for a three-day sporting event, so I mostly needed a convenient location and a comfortable place to sleep. The cottage was clean and tidy, and the shower was hot. The kitchen had everything I could have needed to cook meals, and more. The farm is quiet and peaceful. I liked being away from the hustle and bustle of Plett, but still close enough. The location was absolutely perfect for me. I would definitely stay here again when I am next in the area.
We were accommodated in a larger unit which suited us perfectly. Loved the freedom of space and simplicity away from the maddening crowd. Enjoyed by all, including the dogs, close enough to all tourist attractions.
We got the 3-bedroom house - very cute decor - very clean, lovely farm atmosphere - the 2 x big dogs came to "visit" and were very cute - We had a nice stay there!
We wanted to be isolated in our own space, and we got it. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and waking to the sound of the cows and birds was such a treat. Having our own space with a kitchen was exactly what we were looking for, and the price was within our budget and definitely value for money. The braai facility was welcoming, and I had my boys, who live in the area, around with their families for dinner. The WiFi was an added bonus and definitely a requirement in this day and age. Our host was helpful and friendly, as were the dogs who spent time with us. Just a suggestion, perhaps a large frying pan could be added to the kitchen and a few items of Tupperware, along with one or two spare black bags for the bin. We also spoke to our host about the hot water, which wasn't getting hot enough, and she advised that she would have someone come and attend to it.
Nice spacious house. Quiet environment. Canine company was a bonus. Owner was available for inquiries and information. Very nice stay!
Our stay was from Saturday 10/8/2024 to Monday 12/8/2024. It's just the WiFi didn't work. We only had WiFi on Sunday night. After that it worked very well. There is a lack of a lid for the microwave oven to heat food, so that it does not splash. Susanna was very helpful.

We only slept there for 1 night. Perfect for if you're going to a wedding and just looking for a place to lay your head.
The house was tidy, but not well cleaned. The kitchen lacked plastic containers, a container for braai, salad bowels. The kitchen sink in the living area kitchen needs to be replaced. It is full of black stains or mould. The smaller rooms need a table or shelf for people to put their make-up, brushes, etc on. They have just a bed and a side table. One rooms cupboard has no hanging rails in it. It is a lovely house ,but the owner needs to maintain it properly it is . It is not well kept. Needs some TLC. The 1st kitchen sink taps don't work properly either. The patio makes the house. We enjoyed our stay.

At first it was bit difficult to locate our final destination to choose correct farmhouse, and suggest a sign or 2 will be helpful. Other than that pure tranquillity.
We really enjoyed the tranquility of the surroundings, the dogs and the wonderful supply of wood and will return there any day.
Very neat accommodation, rooms are big and clean, there is everything you need! Wonderful view of the mountains.
Unfortunately, the house was dusty upon our arrival. Would suggest due to the location that the house is instead cleaned on the day of arrival. It would also be nice if the ice trays were already filled and frozen upon arrival. However, the view and location are beautiful.

The cottages outside are not kept well, wood railings are not painted and patio furniture is not great at all. We were supposed to have a maid cleaning the bathrooms every 4th day which didn't happen. For what you are paying, the cottages could have been better run and cleaned. The kitchens are well equipped, the stove in the main cottage wasn't great at all and the stove door didn't close properly. Bedrooms were great. We expected more for what we paid. We stayed in Pine and Oak Cottages, not Palmiet, as she requested we move as we were a smaller party. I agreed, didn't check other cottages out. Palmiet is the best one.
The farm atmosphere and quietness was pleasant. The only challenge was the 3 km gravel road after the rain.
Magnificent views! Easy to find. Safe area. I really enjoyed it. The Crags is a beautiful area in South Africa.

Positive: Accommodation was available at short notice in December. Peaceful farm atmosphere and value for money. Negative: There was no coffee, sugar or tea in room. Brown water and the directions are hard to understand.
