We were looking for overnight accommodation on our way back to Mossel Bay after a late flight from Cape Town. We had to check in very late but were welcomed with kindness and helpfulness! Had a wonderful sleep with everything needed for a quick sleepover.
Host was very helpful when the DSTV wouldn't behave. Sorted it out immediately.

Comfortable and well appointed room with everything needed for an overnight stay. Nice seating outside. Near Voortrekkerstraat and Swellengrebelstraat with museum and restaurants.
The room was clean and tidy. Maybe suggestions for the future: Choice of drinks, there was only regular tea and decaf coffee. We would have preferred rooibos tea and regular coffee. We were 2 guests and there were 3 biscuits. The room and bathroom are freezing cold. How about a small gas heater or electric blanket please. It's winter and Swellendam gets cold and the room faces south. Maybe just something to chew on for the next guests, thanks.
Room was very neat and clean and comfortable - I just think they need to hear if you still have enough coffee, etc. in your room, but it is something small. The people were warm and friendly and even offered to take my Mom something if she needed it in the Alzheimer's unit. Really appreciated it. Slept well.

We had a nice stay at the guest house. The owner met us to watch a television program that was important to us. It was a bonus that we found out that the owner's mother gave us both piano lessons in Heidelberg.

The unit does not have a private entrance as described and the parking is open on the street. Would have preferred if car could stand behind locked gate.
No Safe Parking - Owner offered his Garage when we complained No TV - the website gallery has a number of photos indicating there is a TV, what else is there to do in Swellendam after travelling by car for most of the day.
The owner is extremely friendly and hospitable. We felt very welcome and at home. I would recommend the accommodation anytime and stay there again.
