I would recommend Tabu House to one and all. You are warmly welcomed when you arrive and then you feel at home, it's a beautiful house and cleanliness has no limits, the delicious smell of the kitchen lies at the tip of your nose after a long day outside, the evenings are quiet and I just thought I would be able to stay here. They also upgraded us without asking because our visiting period without any extra costs. Thank you very much Tabu House for a wonderful visit with you, we will definitely come again.

Well this was one of our best top guesthouse stays that was booked. Will definitely go back. Very friendly people and the area is quiet and peaceful.
During the weekend we were in Franschhoek, the Paarl, Hout Bay, Durbanville, Welgemoed, Waterfront, Tuine, Oranjezicht, Constantia, Woodstock, Llandudno and Malmesbury. Tabu is right in the middle of it all. The Studio 2 apartment is nice and spacious with a large bathroom (bath and shower) and a comfortable kitchen. The bed is king size. Definitely recommend!
Was a friendly welcome, the room is very clean and tidy. After you have been welcomed, no unnecessary contact is made.
The location is great. Small problems were quickly resolved. Would stay there again anytime. Slept very well. The place is clean and tidy.
Nice to get away from it all including television. High backyard wall for extra privacy. Besides little attention to 2 lights, I do plan to make it a yearly visit during Women's Month in SA. Super-fast WiFi.
The gas bottle is next to the stove and a powerpoint - dangerous. Only 2 large plates, one small plate, 2 forks, knives and teaspoons. The foor was open and not properly finished next to the fridge -dangerous. The curtains werw not consistent colours and a mix and they were very poor quality. The shower was disgusting. One has to move around to get wet and there is no caddy for bathroom items and one has to bend to the floor every time. The kitchen cupboard doors were not aligned and do not close properly. The bed was very soft on one side and one could hear the springs creaking. The light in the bedroom section of this open plan one room apartment does not work. Light fittings globes did not work on two fittings. The towels were old extremely worn rags that would not dry anything and more closely resembles worn out nappies. They were also very small. The kitchen cloth was filthy. The toilet roll holder collapsed on using it. Single-ply toilet rolls. Ugh. 3 different types of cornice in the place. It was cold and we had to use the oven with the door open to warm the place. The one wall heater was cracked and ineffective. I will be posting this on the review page.

We will definitely see Tabu House again in the future. Location is perfect and there are many places to eat and visit in a 200 meter radius. Would highly recommend it.
I use a sports wheelchair because I cannot walk far due to my disability. The owners helped me with the only 2 stairs that were there and I could do the rest myself because I am very dependent on myself. I really got much more value for my money than I could have ever asked for! Many thanks to everyone who stays there. You are amazing! I recommend the place to people looking for silence and peace.
We were kindly received at the gate without having to call or press a button for attention. We were taken around the building and shown where our rooms were.
Nice place to stay for a couple.
It is a very nice place if you want to spend a night or two. The parking is only on a button, large vans or vans will not be able to enter easily. No problem. People are very friendly.
There was not enough secure parking within the premises and the vehicle had to be parked on the street one night. Parking is not mentioned on their website.

We shared a bathroom with two other guest rooms, worked well. Some tips to the owner: 1) I would fit towel rings or rails in each room where you can hang your towel as you can not leave it in the bathroom. 2) More clearly mark the parking bays so people do not waste space. 3) Wife missed a hair dryer. We would definitely come again!
My daughter is Diabetic 1 and we are in the process of training her a "Medical alert" dog. Tabu House immediately asked if we could bring my daughter's dog and had no problem with that. We live in Kleinmond and Leia (medical alert dog) and my daughter came to take the CGC (Canine good citizen) tests. They won the bronze, silver and gold in one day, and I believe it is partly because we were able to hang out quietly and safely at Tabu House the day before the test. Thank you very much Tabu House, we will definitely stay with you again when Leia has to come for her "sensing" training. I requested a specific self-catering unit, but Tabu House gave us a bigger/spacious unit, with a lawn for Leia, for the same price we would have paid for the smaller unit. We really appreciate it, thank you very much.

It is difficult to get three families (with children 10-12 yrs), from three different parts of the country together in the same place and time, especially with programs that change. Tabu staff tried to accommodate and help us as much as possible. The ladies were always friendly, and available every morning. The house, rooms, pool and parking areas were neat and clean. Please note that you share the house with other people as you rent separate rooms and then share the common areas (lounge, dining room, swimming pool, braai facilities, some bathrooms). The area was quiet and clean, and we felt very safe.
We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. We did our reservation quite late and yet they still had space for us and its so beautiful and its a awesome get a way place to break free from your daily stress and just calm down and have fun and is also good place to spend quality time with your spouse or partner.
It is just what you need for a tranquil getaway. 100% happy and already recommended it to friends.

Beautiful place and we were received with so much hospitality. We were provided with dry towels every day and the panel heater was turned on for us every night, as were the lights. The studio room is well furnished with everything one could ask for. The owners made us feel very welcome and made sure everything was in order. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Bloubergstrand.

All that was short is the TV. We don't know the Cape so we wanted to keep an eye on the news and know where we could go and stay out. Like the buses that go on strike and roads that are closed or fires.
We had to find accommodation in a hurry in the Cape Town area and were very lucky to come across Tabu House. The staff were incredibly helpful. I booked the cheapest unit and after the lady could tell by my voice that we were not young anymore, she moved us to a ground floor unit with our own bathroom on her own initiative. It made a huge difference to our stay. She called us twice to make sure we were ok with the self check-in system. We had dinner at the nearby Ocean Basket that night and the secure parking and access to Tabu House made it easy for us. The friendly chat of the lady who saw us in the morning put us in a good mood for the day. We will definitely stay here again if we need accommodation.

Quick and easy self-check-in. Short, safe walk to Tableview beach, plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance. Safe parking inside gates. Good WiFi, no TV but the view made up for that! Hosts are relaxed and happy to share kitchen and fridge/freezer space etc.
Shower pressure a bit low, but it's due to the water pressure. Otherwise, it was great. The bed is nice and soft and you can sleep well.
Although we had a great stay and would like to use the house again in the near future, there is only one thing that should be noted. The light switch behind the sliding bathroom door was broken due to the door slide open. It can be a bit dangerous, but other than that we had a very nice stay and our dogs were safe.
WiFi pathetic, signal poor. Vodacom's data worked better. Safe parking and WiFi is 2 important requirements for us business travellers.

Tabu House was just what my friend and I needed. Quiet atmosphere in a friendly environment.
The bathroom was very dirty and the shower clogged! Unhygienic! Had to share bathroom with other people. Pathetic. There was only a rooftop fan in the room that could not dare to switch it on with all the noise. We stayed two days, no place is cleaned, no new towels are provided. Parking was a problem. Is very unhappy and will not stay there again. And have to say it's a pity because the place is so central in Blouberg. Perhaps it can only be improved?
