The place was a shocking experience. We had already booked during Jun23 precisely because it was advertised as a guest house and restaurant. Mariental is in the middle of Namibia and we were exhausted with a 40 degree arrival. Gate closed, reception closed. Had to call, a lady came to unlock. The room we got was substandard due to several reasons. We moved to another room that wasn't much better, but we had to push through. The restaurant was closed "over the holidays". We were not informed in advance for the arrangement. Shower floor dirty, taps don't have indication of hot and cold, beds are sponge mattresses on stone built bed, bricks rough, my foot scraped against them 2x, coffee, tea is in old plastic containers. Various tiles were used inside the place. I could go on and on about the standard being poor. Fortunately, there is a Spur where we could eat after a 750 km ride.

The passage to the shower is very small. You can tell they are doing their best, but there is little knowledge of disability. We could not function there. We know the Tahiti is not roller-soul friendly, but.
Staff were very friendly and the restaurant's food delicious!
We travelled with our puppy and we could comfortably accommodate her. In addition, the room was neat and well equipped with sufficient coffee and tea. We both smoke and there was room on the veranda just outside the room, with an ashtray we could use.
The shower was blocked and the shower didn't have a head on either. It's a bit disappointing.
Caretaker did not have our reservation. We left without paying. They didn't notice. There is no water, but the shower is dripping. Impractical brick beds. Poor food in restaurant.
