Rooms are large, tidy, king size bed as advertised. The breakfast was very good and a very friendly chef. Secure parking and area, beautiful garden and very quiet and peaceful. And we appreciate the backup generator/power supply.

Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Other guests park on your parking lot, leading to messes and fights. Water pressure was very poor. It's enough to support the bar by the pool, but it was closed the whole time.
The rooms are very nice and clean, but some of the things are a bit old such as the lampshades and bath mats and decor and the chairs. We didn't stay for breakfast, but the location is very nice and we had a good night's rest.
We didn't have a very nice stay. The place was neat, safe and well located. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, we are convinced that the stay was not value for money. Our DStv channels' reception was so poor that we could not use them. There was no water in the room. The shower's pressure was extremely weak and no hot water would come out, as a result we could not use the shower. The breakfast was reasonable for the cost.
What bothered me was that there was no WiFi available. We had to use another alternative as I had business to attend to. The staff could not answer my request for WiFi. It seemed to me that there was indeed a system, but the IPS did not make contact.
The water trickles out the shower and remains cold. Reception not very interested however the room was veryy clean.
Check-in time is 14:00. They could not accommodate me to clock in earlier. It was understandable. But when I arrived at 14:00 I still couldn't check in because they were still cleaning, with the result that I couldn't check in until 14:45. Very weak. Otherwise the room was neat and clean. There was no shower, just a bath with a hand shower. The television didn't have a remote, so I couldn't use it. It was hot and the room had air conditioning which helped a lot. The bed also sleeps comfortably. Other guests were noisy until late in the evening, but I can't blame the guest house for that either.
Thanks for the hospitality to the welcome was so excellent. I would really like to come back. Tamboti will be my second home when I am in Tzaneen.
We arrived at the lodge that looks amazing from the outside and was greeted by the reception which promptly checked us in. We where shown our room where we would stay and initially it looked great but soon we started to notice dead bugs around the sleep area and the fridge not clean with previous guests take-away food still there. Our first night was okay but the second night was worst as we woke up we found a few alive cockroaches around our bed and toilet area. We did complain to reception the first time but the second time we just left early in the morning. The place looks amazing and the location is also good but I won't recommend anyone to stay there until they can sort out their cleanliness. It's a pity as this place is beautiful and can be great.
Tambotie Lodge is a very neat place with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. The rooms are spacious and very clean and tidy. It was a pleasant experience and I will definitely spend the night there again.
The staff were very friendly and the rooms clean. The garden is very beautiful. I would choose to stay there again. There should be a reception backup after 9pm -we could not access the reception after 9 and had to make alternative arrangement for my other friends.
The service was bad and the staff has no time for customers and never available to assist. 9:30 breakfast was unavailable. Couldn’t assist for early check in.

Beautiful guest house with central location - rooms spacious and tastefully furnished. Delicious breakfast with a view of the beautiful garden and pool area. Good security with security guard on site.
Very clean and well positioned. Staff were friendly with excellent service. World class chef provided a most amazing dinner.

Dinner was incredibly delicious - best cook in SA! We waited in reception for about 40 minutes before we saw any staff - let ourselves in as the gate was open and waited at reception until we decided to call and let them know we had arrived. Room and bathroom are spacious and comfortable - unfortunately the sheets were either not ironed, or not freshly covered. Straw cushions on the bed as well as the sofas in the reception area were dirty and full of spots. It's an incredibly beautiful place, wonderful scenery, but we never saw the driver or drivers with an eye. Unfortunately get the impression that South Africans are not important to them - only overseas guests are.

Very nice and pleasant staff and nice stay. The rooms were as advertised, new and stylish. Everything worked that needed to work. The dinner at the lodge was good and service brisk.

Thank you for your hospitality. I might just want to give some advice to keep future customers happy and step up your service as 4 star. The coffee and biscuits in the room were very "low budget". Then maybe our "timing" was wrong, but there was work until late in the garage right next to our room. Apart from the above problems, we had a very nice stay!
They are doing renovations at present but it does not inconvenience the visitors at all. Friendly and helpful staff. Tzaneen is smaller than what I originally thought. I am short so my only complaint is that the wash basin was too high in room 20. Had to use the basin in the toilet section of the bathroom.
A quiet area and nice rooms!
It would be nice if extra blankets could be available in Room 20. Biscuits available on tea and coffee trays (preferably individually wrapped) would also be nice. The beautiful, expensive, stylish electric kettles in the unit give water a strange, inexplicable taste. It's also strange that the main gate is open all day.
