The ground floor area comprises an open-plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area as well as a lounge area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a double-door fridge-freezer, a gas stove, an oven, a microwave, and a kettle. The living area offers spectacular views of the river bank and bushveld.
Guests can choose between an undercover braai area or a firepit for braaing and watching the animals visiting the Crocodile River. The entertainment area includes a dartboard and table tennis. The upstairs deck area is ideal for a sundowner or bird watching. The lodge also has a swimming pool with beautiful views of the bushveld and river.
Activities that can be enjoyed in and around the lodge include game drives, hiking trails or playing golf at Leopard Creek Country Club.

A piece of tranquility set on the Crocodile River. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the family.
The upper rooms and bedrooms were stuffy.
The owner went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Even arranging quick repairs to one of the geysers that stopped providing hot water. The lodge is in a fantastic position and has everything you could need.
This place is amazing. We had such a nice time. Everything was neat, clean and so beautiful. The view and house are beautifully furnished and perfect for a large group of people or even a large family. I would definitely recommend it and we will definitely visit this place again. Well done you!
Tamboti River lodge was a promising experience. Lodge is breathtaking and was better than the description on the website. Will definitely go back.
Most beautiful view of the Crocodile River. Saw 3 male lions early in the morning. House very comfortable and you can see no money has been spared on the finishes! Will definitely visit again when opportunity arises.
Our family group experience of Tamboti River Lodge was far more than expected. The lodge itself is beautifully designed for larger groups to be together and private at the same time. The staff is delightful and helpful in every way. The wildlife cannot be more incredible with crocodile, hippo, lions, giraffe, rhino, elephant and all sorts of buck and birdlife pass by the lodge. Our private game drives were very insightful as our driver was very knowledgeable. I would suggest the lodge consider adding to their kitchen a basket that could be taken on safari drives, including thermoflask and cups. This would be helpful for international visitors who are not equipped for early morning game drives. I would suggest better lighting upstairs in the games room.
