We enjoyed the few lovely, peaceful days at Faraway and it was the perfect place to recharge our batteries. And it's a beautiful place! The silence was blissful. And the swallows that live on the stoep were very special to us. Syrah is top notch!
This has been our second stay. It was as lovely as the first time. The wine is also very good.
Excellent stay at Tanagra Garden cottage, clean, fully equipped with wood, and an honesty bar with great wines. Friendly owners, close to all activities such as horse riding, boat cruises, and wine farms. Highly recommended.
The accommodation situated in the fynbos far from the road and the rest of the farm is magical. Brilliant views and a lovely pool and fantastic bath!
The accommodation is neat and clean and met our expectations.
We found our accommodation private, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, and although we did not need the indoor fireplace, I can imagine this being cozy during the winter months. The veranda has a lovely view over the dam and mountains. There is also a private braai outside. The Loft was where we stayed, and there were two spectacular wild fig trees in front of the main house. The wine, of course, is an added bonus! Delicious. We had a lovely morning walk and enjoyed the many birds on the farm.
Bottlebrush cottage is spacious and well equipped on a boutique wine farm just outside of McGregor. Anette was an excellent hostess - able to answer all our questions about McGregor and the area. Would love to spend more time walking some of the footpaths on the farm and in the area, will definitely visit again in the spring. Feel free to taste their wines, the Shiraz was unbeatable!
Faraway Cottage was very clean and exciting to stay in. Everything was luxurious and open. The open bathrooms and kitchen is a must have and the overall quality stay was great.

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone to live there. It's private just outside the town, but close enough to visit the town. The natural beauty is also something to appreciate.
If you would like to get away from the city to a place where you rarely see a soul then this is the place. The cottage is very well equipped and clean. It is a great getaway for a romantic weekend. Great hosts and a free bottle of wine in the room was a lovely gesture.

We stayed in Bottlebrush for 3 nights. The cottage is spacious (even if it is one room) with lots of natural light and the kitchen is excellently equipped and everything is very tidy. The bathroom is also spacious with a large shower. The fireplace inside is an absolute delight and the stoepie has a roof which means you can sit outside in any weather. The garden/farm is an absolute bird paradise and borders Cape Nature's Vrolijkheid - feel free to walk around and/or sit at the bird hides. There are two cottages together, each with its own outdoor braai. The only negative point is that the wall that separates the two cottages is very thin and you can hear everything that goes on next door. We were lucky to have very nice "neighbors" this weekend, but this is something you should definitely be aware of, especially if they are strangers. I would also like to see that at the daily rate, one would be provided with one starter bag of firewood - there was some firewood for the interior though. Tanagra's wines are top class and the complimentary bottle is a nice idea. Feel free to taste! It is also complimentary. Another point to be aware of is that the cottages are quite close to the road, but it's not really a big disturbance as it's just a bit of country traffic. Access from the farm to the village of McGregor and also Robertson, is quick and easy. The owners are very nice and helpful and their dogs are wonderful! Overall we had a great stay and recommend Tanagra, they also have quite a few other accommodation options that you can explore.
The cottage is beautiful and the swimming pool a nice windfall. Owner was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary bottle of wine was delicious.
A perfect getaway for our anniversary and first weekend away from our toddler. Beautiful views and surroundings. So quiet and peaceful, we were able to relax completely.

Garden cottage is beautifully established and equipped with everything you need - home from home. Perfectly situated to explore the area. Tanagra is tranquil and peaceful, Robert and Anette were really helpful and welcoming.

Modern unit with all you need. Breathtaking scenery. Close to Robertson for groceries. Lovely breakaway.
Tanagra is nicely situated close to Mc Gregor. Accommodation was great, comfy beds and rooms very clean. The owners were fantastic and the wine and grappa tasting wonderful and very informative.
Tanagra Wine & Guest farm is well located near McGregor, which is a lovely & quaint village to visit. The farm is peaceful, with plenty of bird life. We found the accommodation very spacious. The kitchen could have a few more bowls for self-catering purposes. And the mozzies - just to warn future guests: bring lots of anti-mozzie stuff!!
