41 guests' feedbackFantastic hospitality and we felt welcome.
It was a very nice place, food was good, beer was cold and brandy special was very nice. This is a gem inni Cape, Rustic.
We had a great time at the Tented camps! Food was very nice and the people always had a smile. We stayed in the cottage. It was very nice clean and tidy. The only downside was that there were no power points, but otherwise it was very nice!
Jeez, wow, life is going well here!
Very beautiful area and stunning works of art. Will definitely turn again.
The staff were excellent, but the camp needs a bit of maintenance.
We had a nice stay for 3 nights.
We loved all the artwork at the reception and restaurant, but also enjoyed the artwork in the field! Definitely worth another visit with friends next time.
Road there from the gate quite sandy, so not easy for the men with the big bikes. Furthermore, it was great with cold beer and good food.
Nice quiet and peaceful. Beautiful sunset and hero stars. Friendly staff.
100% Tanker. Rustic, with lots of fabric. But that's exactly what we expected to experience. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Nice getaway spot and good facilities available.
Wasn't my first time there. So knew what to expect.
Make sure you have enough spare tires, especially with a regular motor vehicle.
We toured by motorbike. Interesting people and environment. The tent was clean and tidy.
Better than the moon.
We stayed in the newest chalet! It's so beautiful, comfortable and cosy! We barbecued, visited, walked, rested and recharged! Can't wait to go again!
An experience that everyone should experience, different and inexplicable [bar's name tells the story].
Very nice. Very spacious. Everything you need at the campsite.
The braai pack and chips and mash and gravy was probably the best I've had in a long time. The visit in the bar and around the fire was special and the sleep in the tent was nice in the clean environment with its white sheets.
Tents/Caravan should include crockeries/pans.
They could put some more effort into giving you access to boiling water, a proper braai grid, plates, cutlery etc.
The tent was comfortable and clean and the host very friendly and interesting.
All that one seeks for one's soul.
If this your kind of landscape, it's the best destination.
Tankwa Tented Camp has such a nice "vibe". It was a lovely weekend break. We will definitely go again.
I had a great time! The chalet is comfortable, with en-suite bathroom, enough blankets and electric blanket for the cold! The food is delicious and prices more than fair. There is just a special atmosphere. It's the ideal place to clear your head and appreciate the silence and the stars.
It is a very unique experience. The Karoo will not be for everyone, but you have to experience it once. Service was always warm and friendly. It is a place to clear your head.
Else. See at least once if you like the Karoo.
As I understand the place has been under new management for the last few years. It is always highly recommended among motorcyclists and we definitely wanted to check it out. You get everything you expect from this type of accommodation. We stayed in one of the tents. There were small things in the tent which were very disturbing and which I believe have not worked for some time such as loose power cords and the fact that you could not open the window because it was broken. There is much more of a "hippie" feel than a motorcycle riding feel if I may put it that way. The drivers were hospitable. The place is very interesting because of the Africa Burn festival that always takes place there, but I don't think it's everyone's cup of tea. It's very authentic and relaxed, but ideal for a group of friends who want to have a good time away from the city.
Amazing experience! It is one of those places that one must visit at least once in their lifetime. The area is vast, Bar en Dor, with its unique charm and incredible sunset and starry splendor!
Ablution facilities need renovation, there is also too little space for the number of guests.
What a great place with all the attractions. The maze is the most beautiful ever. Road a bit bad for normal cars. It is absolutely an experience. The people of the camp are wonderfully helpful and hospitable.
Great place to visit. Wooden cabins need window covers repaired - very noisy in wind. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyed my stay and got fantastic service from Webster and co.
Will not stay here again due to the fact that this is the workshop of the Africa Burn project. Here you are woken up early by workers loading trucks with everything that can make noise. That's why you come here for a quiet Karoo experience!
We stayed in the tents. There is a bed with warm undersheet and enough blankets for 2 people, so sleeping warm in winter is not a problem. Furthermore, there is a small table between the 2 beds, and 2 logs to sit on outside the tent. There are shared bathrooms for all the tents. Hot water comes from a donkey. But it's perfectly good enough for a cold winter morning. I think the price for all this is slightly too high.
Hospitality that one will not find better anywhere else. Incredible landscape and a must for any road trip.
Incredible area. Hard, unapproachable, but the vibe is not for everyone.
