My husband and I booked the place for the wedding anniversary of my brother and sister-in-law. We arranged everything ahead of time at the place, and it was so much more than we expected. It was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. My brother and sister-in-law couldn't stop talking about the beautiful place and also said that everything was perfect. The hostess was amazing. From the moment we got there she was so helpful. She made the place extra beautiful and helped me with everything to make it special for them. She is really fantastic. Thank you so much, you are really great.

Absolute good value for money, very quiet, excellently equipped rooms, nice Jacuzzi and pool. One star less than maximum because of some chirping crickets in one bedroom and some undefined black crumbs in the bed. The rest of the whole house was more than clean, in the best conditions. So that was probably a one-off inattention.
Helene is a wonderful hostess and met all our needs. The rooms are luxurious and spacious. The braai area and swimming pool are beautiful and we had our own ice and the use of the 'boombox'. Our visit was super special! Outstanding!

After a full day's driving from Gauteng to De Doorns we were exhausted and ready to rest. Upon arrival we were so warmly greeted and made to feel so comfortable. The Country Home is exquisitely decorated and truly beautiful. I would go back any day.
There are very few places to eat in De Doorns. Helene had prepared a fire for us, plates, knives, forks, bowls, cutlery, everything so we could have a barbecue around the pool. Lovely and very considerate of her.

This is an elegant and luxurious guest house, located among the vineyards in the Witch River Valley, with lovely views of the surrounding mountains. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was large with beautiful furniture and an extremely comfortable bed. There is a large swimming pool, as well as luxury braai facilities. We highly recommend it.
Helene was such a great host. We wished we booked more days after we left. The newly renovated, stylish Guesthouse has everything from a central pool, Jacuzzi, air-conditioning and the beauty of the Western Cape hills.

This is one for the books! If we ever go back or go on a long distance drive, we will stay here again. Helene was incredibly welcoming, such a kind and warmhearted person. She showed us our room, informed us that we are allowed to use the facilities (Jacuzzi and braai area as well as use their music box), we were able to message her if we needed anything. We stayed in Room 2, Crimson, which was clean, modern, with good WiFi signal and a round queen-sized bed. One of the best places we have stayed at. Thank you, Helene.
