70 guests' feedbackWe had a very good stay, the location is peaceful and it was a good place to go and relax and switch off.
We really enjoyed our stay in a unique, scenic environment that boasted lovely views above the treetops and even the chance to bathe in a state-of-the-art bath shielded by leafy branches. Dining on the deck was marked by Knysna Loerie visits, sparkly fireflies, and amazing stars. We also had visits from inquisitive monkeys and the chance to wander along well-marked forest paths to water pools and a river. We felt safe and warm even during a storm, and our accommodation was well stocked and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Heaven on earth! Best alarm clock was the Loeries visiting early in the morning. The stars shone so bright in the dark night sky. It is a must for nature lovers! Felt like a kid again.

Wonderful to physically stay in the forest and experience the forest sounds and animals. All the facilities were neat and in working order.
Neat and private. Well located, close to town. I'm unfit and did my very first hike there and it wasn't too bad. Good bit of dirt road to resort (about one kilometer). Took a motorcycle ride there with no problems. Had a great time in the pub with the owner and his wife. Tents are neat and well equipped. Only take your own food. I would like to buy some meat there, but they don't have a shop there. Thank you very much. You see me again.
Something of everything. Wildlife, nature, hiking and mountain climbing.
Even though we only spent 1 night there, the experience was a big surprise. And adventure! Would recommend it!

Our 1st impression of Teniqua Treetops was that the entrance and reception area did not give a good, well-kept impression. Grass dead, broken bench in garden. Think a green lawn and garden bench outside, can already create a much better impression.

We had a comfortable 2 bedroom tent with all the bells and whistles overlooking the treetops. We were privileged that the Knysnaloeries came to visit us every morning. Everyone was helpful and friendly and I would definitely recommend Teniqua Treetops to all travelers. It's breathtaking.
Each unit is absolutely private. Even we almost on the ground Loerie has a view almost in the treetops. Within a short bike ride of the Garden Route Trail Park.
Magic, peaceful, amazing.
It's rare that you go away for a weekend in your hometown, but it might as well have been a day trip away, because all the hustle and bustle of the week was forgotten after we landed there. We stayed in Loerie Nes and were spoiled to see lories outside at almost any time. The cottage is very cute and romantically furnished and perfect for a getaway with your loved one. The walks through the forest and the swimming pool are just as nice. Watch out for the monkeys, they are fast and hungry for your bananas. Would love to come again.
We really enjoyed the tent stay. When we arrived it was a bit rainy and cool, but the tent's heaters provided lovely heat. The view from the wooden deck is beautiful and we even saw a couple of Knysna Loeries.

We were spoiled with a Knysna lorie who came to visit us. Also the walk down to karatara river was beautiful. Steep...but worth it. Truly a nice adventure and experience.
My husband and I were looking forward to a romantic getaway before our baby arrives and Teniqua Treetops met what we were looking for. It was just the two of us, away from everything and everyone, the perfect place. The cottage we stayed in was well furnished, the staff were extremely friendly and always more than willing to help. The view and wildlife was something special. We really enjoyed it.

Teniqua Treetops is a secret gem. The service was prompt and friendly even though we arrived after check-in time. Warren accompanied us to our treehouse and very nicely showed and explained all the details of the facilities. The location is off the books and in one of the most pristine gorges of the Outeniquas. The self-catering unit is very private and situated for the best possible view. There is a walking trail that runs down the side of the tree house to the river with swimming holes. The route is well marked, but not for the elderly or the unfit. There is a lot of climbing and scrambling involved and walking shoes are a must. For those who do not want to venture into the gorge there is a swimming pool and Jacuzzi at the main camp as well as a recreation room with snooker tables and other activities. There is also a communal braai pit for the wood enthusiasts, as only charcoal may be burned at the treehouses. Teniqua Treetops certainly offers an unforgettable stay and rest and is in my Top 10.

If you want to get away from your daily routine and if you are looking for peace and quiet or just to reconnect with your life partner, I will definitely recommend Teniqua Treetops. We haven't experienced peace like that in a very long time, and the natural beauty is astounding! I want a house like that to live in forever!
We stayed here for two nights. The place was small and cosy, just what we wanted. There is a good enough kitchen with all the necessities you need on such a short stay. The patio has a very beautiful view over the bush and mountains. Nice in nature and away from everything else.
The photos make the place look more luxurious than it is. It is essentially "glamping" and the cottages are quite "kitsch". But we nevertheless had a great time staying here for two nights of our honeymoon. The cottages are well equipped and the location is fantastic. One falls asleep with an orchestra of night owls and wakes up again with the songs of the morning birds.

Definitely one to recommend, do take into account that it is environmentally friendly, and may not be to everyone's taste. If you like camping, but also want to experience the luxury, this is an excellent choice! If you're a little scared of bugs and spiders... maybe think again. In terms of service, equipment and comfort it is excellent!
The trails should be better marked.
The owners and staff are very cute and friendly. The cottage has all the basic amenities you will need. We slept very well on the comfortable bed. I would also recommend tourists to go in the summer, as the bath/shower is not very hot. The water pressure is also a bit low.

We enjoyed the area, the huts were pleasant. Owners were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and made us feel part of the family. The Eco friendly systems on the premises were quite impressive. The views were beautiful and it was very peaceful here. Walks down to the river were also great. Entertainment facilities were good. but were not properly serviced everyday. Bed was not made up on one morning. Criticism: Communal area was not cleaned very well and dishes were not washed from the night before when the group arrived for breakfast in the mornings. i.e dishes were done a little late everyday. Suggestions would be: Provide bottle water or a fountain in rooms and communal area as drinking water from tap was not great and did not smell too good. A tea tray with coffee, milk, sugar, tea and a rusk or two should be provided daily and not only on arrival. The group should have preferably been accommodated in chalets close to each other. Accomodation was a little over priced.
Very nice stay. Toilets could improve as well as the reception area. Stayed in nicer places with better amenities for the same cost.

Wonderful place.
Would recommend people to rather stay over in summer than winter. We had nice cold weather, but were equipped to handle the weather.
