A conference and workshop facility is available on the premises and the lodge can host weddings, family gatherings, group functions and school camps.
There is a wide range of activities available in the area, including game drives, bird watching, mountain biking, and nature trails. Other facilities include a Volley ball court and a games room with pool table and ping-pong table.

Awesome weekend away, peace is what we got. Staff from the gate and the owners were very welcoming. We were at the camping site and it was safe and felt at home.
Very nice camping in the silence of nature.
Signs of winter are still there and it is dry. But after a little rain it will be beautiful. Private ablution facilities are very clean and comfortable. Will definitely go back.

The stay was very peaceful. The thatch roof in the apartment brought about a lot of spiders. The place was generally clean, but I would have appreciated some of the other little homey touches, like a caddy in the shower, maybe a non-slip mat in the shower, because it was quite slippery, a toothbrush holder, a small bar of soap maybe so you could at least wash your hands; something more than a bread knife to slice meat, something to clean the grill. Fortunately, we packed our own cleaning supplies to at least wash our dishes with. There was no cloth to wipe down the counters. Also, there was no TV. Not sure if it's mentioned in the description, but I know there was one in the pictures. There is an 8 km gravel road to the entrance. No nearby shops really, so you have to make sure you've packed for everything, as the shop does not stock much of anything except wood and ice.
Stay was pleasant, neat accommodation. Resort facilities need maintenance and attention.
Getting to the lodge was a dreadful experience. Communication from Travel Ground stated that there is 8km of gravel. Imagine our shock when the directions provided guided us through 24km of gravel. Only to discover that to avoid the 24km of gravel we needed to drive past the Klipgat sign and only turn right at the Leeukop sign. Travel Ground needs to update their directions as soon as possible, as this could have saved us and our car a great deal of discomfort. We then arrived at the lodge and were saddened to find that an illegal worker was being exploited; he is the only employee at the lodge. He greeted us at reception, attended to requests throughout the stay, accompanied us on our game drive, and I'm pretty sure he does all the cleaning. There are about 20 chalets, which is just inhumane. Future visitors: Follow the directions until before the right turn at the board written Klipgat. Instead, continue straight on the R511 and only turn right at the Leeukop sign. You'll only have 8km of gravel as opposed to the 24km that we travelled.
My family and I really enjoyed it, it's clean, tidy and very affordable. The staff were very friendly and helpful with whatever my 2 teenagers could think of! I want to thank you very much for everything!
Please. can you gather from the website that Thabaledi has TV and DStv. Although it was nice to not watch TV and appreciate nature, one would only like to be more prepared for children who cannot yet occupy themselves. Furthermore, it was very nice and everyone was very friendly.
KC and Tertius are great hosts. All staff very friendly and were in the Christmas spirit. The braai bomas and pools are awesome. Great bush experience and could just relax and felt very safe. Only issue was a few big spiders.

Thabaledi says explicitly on their website and on the form you have to sign on your arrival, that no loud music may be played and that you will be fined if you violate it, but still the neighbors played loud music, late in the evening and early in the morning, and at the pool there were speakers playing deafeningly loud music, and we and other guests had to ask several times to turn it down so we could talk to each other. We brought this to the attention of the owner, and were not at all kindly received about this, on the contrary, he got annoyed and turned and walked away. The kiosk feels a bit limited with what they sell, so don't forget something at home, because you can't just quickly drive to the shops to buy it. The chalet was neat and clean and nice and cool with all the air conditioners, but there are small things, such as no barbecue or scooping bowls and tin opener in the kitchen. The toilet made a nice noise, so we just turned off the faucet. It should be made more clear on the website that the dirt road you will be driving can be a challenge to drive after it has rained heavily, especially with a regular car, just so people are aware of this. It is asked that you must be out by 10 o'clock, but when we wanted to drive, the gate was not even unlocked and the guard had to go and get the key first. The workers at Thabaledi were very helpful and friendly. Apart from the few things mentioned above, we had a nice stay at Thabaledi.
Good value for money game drives. TT is a very friendly and helpful lodge manager and the staff are always friendly and ready to help if anything is needed. Will recommend it to others. We had an awesome time.
Booked dinner, but the staff were not informed. They did their best to prepare a very basic meal, with what the had. Very noisy music and screaming from drunk guests from most of the chalets, till the early morning hours. Not a quiet, relaxing place.
Will definitely stay at Thabaledi Game Lodge again. It was very neat, the people were friendly, it was peaceful and very enjoyable.

Thank you Thabaledi for your prompt assistance when we needed another place to stay. They immediately helped us and put us in a beautiful place with more than one could ask for. Will definitely come and rest there again. Self drive is not allowed there to go game watching, which I understand in some circumstances, but it would make the place perfect.

We were looking for a place where we could just forget about the demanding city life and recharge the batteries for a few days, and that's exactly what we found here. It is a beautiful place that is so well run. The units are spacious and tidy with lounge areas to suit every climate and the service is excellent ─ Lee was just a phone call away! We would go back any day and bring more friends!

On our previous visit there were noisy quad and motocross bikes and were glad to see that was not the case this time. We assumed then that the lack of game was because of this noise but it still seems that the game are pretty shy and not visible. The chalets were very spacious and comfortable. I would have appreciated bed side lights though. I will definitely be returning again and recommend Thabaledi to my friends and colleagues.
Fantastic accommodation, spacious rooms, fully equipped kitchen, complimentary ice and wood, delicious boma area at your unit, delicious breakfast, nice play area for children and adults, affordable optional extras, friendly cleaning services, most beautiful sunset. Only criticism is the 1-ply toilet paper. Jacques and his team went out of their way to make it as enjoyable as possible for us. It was a lovely woodland getaway. We will visit Thabaledi again for sure.

A beautiful place indeed for a group of people and for a couple if they want a quiet outing. We really enjoyed our stay even though there was no entertainment.
On December 21, 2019 we checked in. Initially, I struggled to get to the gate because the intercom didn't work well. At the reception they were not sure if I paid a deposit. The chalet is nice and spacious, but not maintained. There is no supervision on cleaning services. I had to beg the workers to remove the ash from the braai. The shop has basic necessities, the pool bar does not have set hours. The one pool at main lodge is greener than the grass next to the pool. There was also a struggle with water that was more off, than on. This led to me leaving a day before my departure date. I think the place has a lot of potential, but in the future it will not go there again.

We spent a lovely relaxing weekend at Thabaledi, Johan and Lana were amazing. The units were lovely spacious and clean, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again!

The two people in charge Lana and Johan make you feel welcome and at home from the moment you check in to the place. In our opinion, they are a big part of Thabaledi's success. Everything we needed was available and the ablution pad allocated to each pitch is a huge bonus.
The Lodge is beautiful, neat and peaceful. The chalet was spacious and the daily cleaning service was convenient. Would just suggest looking at the completeness of the kitchenware. Unfortunately some negative points about office staff. On arrival there was no one in the office to help us check in, luckily for the mobile phone number that LekkeSlaap provided the day before with all the necessary details of your booking, I was able to get hold of the lady to come and help us. (This also hit a problem later in the week where there was no one to help us at the little shop). During check-in, the lady also did not know if the accommodation had been paid for where I had to show proof of payment from LekkeSlaap. This has never happened with 1 of my bookings through LekkeSlaap. Check-in time was 14:00, the Chalet was not ready until 15:00. During unpacking we noticed the 1 room's aircon was not working, after numerous follow-up calls to the same office lady, the request for a fan for that room was just too much for her after she admitted she was aware before we checked in that the aircon was not working and that it will not be repaired soon. After an awkward conversation, a fan was brought to us later and the aircon was repaired the next day. Apart from the above, we still had a good time resting and hanging out in the forest!
